Picked these irons up off of Ebay dirt cheap. Steel shafts (Crankshaft) with shock shield. Wow! What a steal. The heads indicate Cryogenic Supersteel. I don't know what that means but they have a clean forged look with a very generous amount of forgiveness. More of a midsized player's head that looks great and still lines up in a manner that builds confidence. The ball jumps at the target with a nice consistent trajectory. Good feel that will let you know when you have hit a horrendous shot unlike some of the other shovels out there. Just a pure feel if you get it close to the center of the club face. This is a set of irons that reminds me just how much hype through advertising there is out there pushing the big brand name clubs. Is there really any technological improvement in irons year to year anymore? Doubtful. These irons were made about 10 years ago. Thanks Jack.

Love the feel. Scored a hole in one the other day with a 7 iron on 17 at Rarity Bay between Chattanooga and Knoxville.

Customer Service

Golf shop called Nicklaus about medallions coming of. Nicklaus said send them in. They sent me a new set! Wow! Recommend all Nicklaus products, their service is the best.

Like a lot of others, I thought the medallion stories were just bad luck. Bought a set on eBay for $115 (3-SW). A steal. These are terrific irons - at least 8-10 yards longer. Straight, high. But the first round I played, hit a great 8-iron to the green, happen to look at the back - the medallion's barely hanging on. Pushed it back in. But now every time I hit, I'm worried that I might lose the backing. I'll take these to a shop and epoxy the medallions.

Customer Service

Sucks. They emailed and gave me some corporae BS about "proof of purchase" and they would "look into it." Extremely disappointed. Love the irons, hate the service and product flaws.

Well I have to say that these clubs are good for the money. I have had a set now for over a year and now the weighted medallions have started to fall out of the 4 iron and 8 iron. But other than that these clubs are a good deal for the money. I was shooting about 92 to 88 when I bought these clubs and now I shoot in the 70s sometimes but mostly 80s and I learnedto this on these clubs. I still have them and just bought a set of 762 to see if I can improve my game more but if I have to I will use them again.

Customer Service

Ordered clubs 2 upright and 1 longer recieved them 3 days but the medallions were different colors.

Just bought theses irons and love them. I was consistantly hitting in the hundreds. Somewhere between 102 and 115. I've played three rounds now with the CGX's and I shot in order 99, 96, 95. They feel great off the ball and I feel comfortable with them on lining up to the ball.

Customer Service

2* Up.

I have been a serious Titleist iron lover for years (three sets of DCI's thusfar) and was planning to get the new DCI when the manager at Pro Golf had me try several other irons.I hit the Pings, Nikes, and Cleveland irons (all in a simulator) and quickly ruled them out for various reasons. It all came down to the DCI's and the Nicklaus CGX and I love the way that both of them feel and could be happy with either. A few key facts: 1.The Nicklaus irons are significantly less expensive. 2.They come with Fujikura graphite shafts standard. (I don't know of any other clubs that do this). 3.A five year warranty on these clubs. 4.A free sand wedge also ($119 value) I could not be more happy with this decision...after struggling in the mid 80's all year, I shot 76 the first time out with these clubs. They are one to one and a half club longer than my previous DCI's. You owe it to yourself to hit these clubs before to decide on a purchase because Nicklaus doesn't spend the advertising dollars that the "big" companies spend.

Had 3 terrible rounds with my Titleist 962's.(steel shaft)I had resorted to these after I could no longer control my distance with my Toski grafites. Had my mind made up that I needed a new set of sticks with steel shafts. My golf partner met me at Golf Headquaters to help me spend my money. My Wife was in Disney World with My grown daughter and kids. She left me in charge with check book.Price was not a problem. Tried out Calloway's, Adams, Taylor Made and Nicklaus CGX. Kept going back and hitting CGX's. Paid for them and met golf partner in in parking lot. Most people would take new set of irons to driving range and get to know them right? Not me, partner made a tee time for 1 1/2 hr later. Got on first tee and flubbed my drive.I was left with 200 yards to green. Took brand new 4 iron out of bag which had not even been introduced to a ball yet. Made a few practice swings and then swung away.Ball fligh with a gentle draw (have never drawn the ball in my entire life)landed just in front of the green and rolled to the center about 15 foot from cup. I'm hooked!First time playing with these clubs and scored just as good with clubs that I have been using for years. Can't wait until my wife returns home so I can tell her how much money I saved her while she was gone by not buying Callaway's.

I love these clubs! When I decided to buy a new set of clubs I tried several different brands, but none of them hit like these clubs. I had a tendency to go right with my long irons and left with my short irons, which is exactly what the standard medallions are set to correct for. I'm now hitting much straigher shots and I'm getting more loft with no loss of distance so that my shots land softly. Less than 1 month after purchasing these clubs, I hit my first hole-in-one. Awesome!!

I have played almost every brand of irons and for te most part there all good. I'm amazed at some of the reviews I read. It is obvious that in golf, just like so many other venues, that you can,t please everyone. I play pings as well as my nicklaus clubs and find them both to be great clubs. In this day and age of technology most all of the clubs manufactured today if properly fitted to the golfer as well as the golfers ability are awesome. When reading reviews try to read between the lines.

Customer Service

I am not a sales manager for anyone. Service fron Nicklaus golf is as good as it gets. Period! I have had experience with callaway, wilson and ping as well and have always been more than satified with there service. This is not always the case with the Pro shops we buy from. I was supposedly custom fitted for my vcg's only to find that after I got them I hated them. The pro shop didn't seem to care so I went around them and straight to nicklaus. They fitted me with new shafts 1/2 over and bent them 2* up and shipped them back all at no charge. I loved them. Even now this may be my favorite set. I just ordered my cgx's and do so with full confidence in nicklaus. If the medallions come off, I know they will replace them free. They told me so. I'm not saying there better than calloway or ping but there as good and they cost less which is always a plus.
