First off, I spent a couple of weekends at the driving range hitting hundreds of balls with 6 or 7 different sets of clubs. The Nicklaus VCGs fared the best, followed by the Mizunos.

I've only played a couple of rounds with the VCGs -- but thus far they've been awesome. My scores thus far have been significantly below my handicap, primarily due to the accuracy of the irons. The shaft is ideal for my swing speed (93-98 mph), and the ball really hops off the club face.

In particular, I would note that the short irons and wedges are wonderful. I have never had this kind of accuracy in my 15 years of duffing. If only I could putt.

Shoot in the 100s

I'm new to the game of golf and have been borrowing clubs from friends for the past year. I finally decided to make an investment into a set of irons myself, since I've really been getting into it this year. Probably been out 10 times this year already compared to 4 times all of last year.
Got to use them this past weekend and I am very pleased with these clubs. I have been shooting consistently in the 110's until this past weekend when I shot 106.
I know I will be able to break the 100 barrier consistently once I get used to the clubs. I shot 50 on the back 9 which is amazing for me. They aren't joking about these clubs hitting straight. I toed quite a few shots and they were still in good shape, lost a bit of distance though. I probably won't trade these clubs in until I can hit in the 80's consistently so that should be quite a while.
If you shoot 90 and up, which is the majority of golfers out there, I don't think you'll find a better value out there.

i have played tommy armour clubs in the past and these nicklaus clubs blow them away. they offer a good deal of forgiveness and the produce very long shots for me. i am often using one less club compared to what i have in the past with these clubs. for the price i would highly recommend them to any one looking for a high end bargain. i also love the look of these clubs which really does nothing except enhance my "bag appeal."

I had the clubs custom, ordered free of charge, for length and lie with steel shafts. These have to be the softest feeling irons I have ever hit. The ball literally feels as if it's compressing the club face. All shots, no matter where they're hit, wind up going straight. On top of that, they look classy. Long irons launch effortlessly, and short irons are deadly accurate. At $500, these clubs make Callaway Steelheads and Taylor Made 300's, seem ridiculously priced. This are fantastic products.

I got theses last July and have played with them all winter. The lofts on the clubs are pretty weak lofted, making the ball flight higher and shorter than normal. I find myself taking an extra club, then when compared to other sets.

As far as workability and forgiveness they are average. The smaller head makes the club workable, but also reduces forgiveness.

Feel on these clubs isn't bad. The shock shield shafts reduce vibration without killing feel.

If you are looking for a club a little less mainstream, these are worth a look at.
