i just got these irons and i love them. im 16 and i think there better than titleist. i went to a demo day and i hit them side by side and i hit the nike much better and more solid. i really did not hit the titleist solid ever . with the nike i hit it in side of 10 feet (from 170 yards with a 7 iron)33 out of 50 times and only missed the green once, with the titleist i only hit it inside 10 like 15 times and missed the green 11 times.thats just my take from a younger prospective.

To be honest, I've never actually hit these clubs, and for good reason--THEY ARE WAY TO LIGHT! One waggle, and I remembered the days long ago when I owned a set of graphite shafted irons. Like the previous reviewer, I find it hard to believe Tiger plays the same version of these clubs found on retail shelves. I've hit light clubs before, and there is a tendency to get sloppy swing habits swinging light weight irons--so I'll just make the assumption Tiger's clubs are heavier(hey, I could be wrong). Anyhow, IMO I think Titleist makes the best blades(Mizuno MP33's are the only equal Mizuno has to Titleist). To be fair, it is difficult to rate these Nike's without hitting them, so I'll be kind and give them a four out of five rating.

Every so-called 70's shooter on here that says these blades are the best ever and they have tried every other blade is full of horse stuff. Tiger doesn't play the same blades you buy in the store. If you've seen his irons they don't even look the same and he wouldn't be hitting the 3-iron 240 without changing the lofts. These irons are weaker by 2 degrees loft than your standard cavity back or blade. I have hit all the blades and am a LEGIT scratch player. These blades are by far the HARDEST to hit-they have a smaller club face and sweet spot. I have played nothing but these irons for the past year and anybody who says that losing 10 yards per club is worth it because of the control factor is an idiot or your average weekend hacker.
I went from hitting my pw 140 to 120. 3 iron 230 to 205. This has created a huge gap in my yardages. Now if I'm 215 to the pin I have to hit a knockdown 3 wood on a long par 4. I'd much rather hit the 3 iron. On a 200 yard shot I have to hit a butterknife 3 iron instead of my usual 5-iron which is a MUCH easier club to control into a tucked pin. Mizuno and titleist blades are more forgiving, softer, and have a larger clubface so you can add forgiveness and distance to go with the added control you get with a blade. While bridgestone and cleveland blades have pretty small heads as well they are a little more forgiving and the lofts are stronger. Still would not recommend either of those blades.
On the positive note the Nike blades are a very solid club and can improve your game to a point.
But overall the sacrifice in distance and forgiveness makes other blades a smarter choice-that is unless you are a tour pro and nike will mold and grind your irons custom to your feedback and specs right in front of you.

okay guys here we go.....one I have not been playing a year and already shoot in the 90's....so it's safe to say I have a fast learning curve and well on my way to playing great golf....I am a very serious golfer and I live and bleed this stuff. I cant believe people dont think tiger plays nike blades...they dont pay him millions just to hit a driver..and if u visit his website it states clearly whats in his bag...it's no lie( ever heard of false advertisement) i dont think they would mislead people like that...As for the blades..i make good contact so it was an easy transition for me especially coming from a pair of 300 dollar wal-mart knights....i shot the lowest score I ever shot on my first day out with them, for anybody having trouble connecting just slow ur swing speed down and you'll be fine..thats the reason everyone complains about distance...because they have to slow down there swing...go and get lasik like tiger and then you'll be able to swing full speed (120mph) and still connect..or u can just gradually speed it up with practice....accurracy is great..Im reaching greens from 150 out with a five iron or at least on the fringe...but I dont care what I use as long as Im on. ppitching wedge makes great contact...Ill post more as I play more..but definetly grab them up on ebay...i gotta like new set of 2005 irons for 450$..........Have fun

Went from the Rac OS2 to these Nike's and they are awsome. When pured the stay dead straight. When you miss hit them they still stay straight, but you do lose a lot of yardage. I WILL NEVER GO back to a oversized or use any other club. Soft feel, just perfect.

These are the best clubs that I have ever hit: PERIOD! I was told, as many recreational golfers have, that blades are to difficult to hit. This is far from the truth with the Nike Forged. These clubs are pure and provided great feedback. My scores have continually moved south when playing with these blades since I can see instant results becuase of an off-center hit or imperfection in my swing. By far the best blades on the market...

Model Reviewed: Nike Pro Combo Irons

I bought these irons as my first proper set (after learning with some boot sale specials). I decided to buy 'Better Player' irons as I couldn't see the point of buying irons that I only intended to replace after getting better. It was the right decision to make. Some people go down the 'Game Improvement' iron route and I think that this kills any natural talent. Its too easy with improvment irons to slip into bad habits. Not that using player irons will stop bad habits, the higher amount of feedback you get should help you to pin down those faults.

Anyway, these irons are good solid performers, it took me a while to get used to them, but now they are excellent. The only thing is that they are a bit soft, so damage easily. Nothing worse than taking a divot and hearing your pride and joy irons smack into a bit of stone under the surface, and then finding a new dent in them!!

The only downside I found with the Combo set is the progression between the different styles. e.g. the 8 iron blade gives a real nice punch to the ball and goes 135-145 yards, the cavity 7 iron is easier to hit but then only goes about 150 yards. The gap between the two is too close. it can make some approach shots difficult to pick the right club. Although I guess it does depend on your swing, my swing seems to favor the punchy blade rather than the easier cavity. Still an awsome set of clubs though.

Don't be scared of 'better player irons', how are you supposed to become a better player without the right equipment.

These clubs have a really good feel to them and there easy to hit out of thick rough. They are deffinetly shorter than any other irons i've hit but if your looking for feel and accuracy go with these blades and be prepared to aim past the pin because they spin the heck out of a golf ball.
