Orlimar SF302 Irons

Orlimar SF302 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The rich finish is indicative of its high chromium content with just a touch of copper. The distinctive heel spine adds a dimension of style while lowering the center of gravity behind the axis and expanding the sweet spot.

Strength:

They deliver a nice feel for an offset, cast club, and the ball just lauches off of the face. Weighting at the base of the club face ensures a high launch angle.- mobile mechanic near me

I learned more over this last weekend hitting the CG1s than I have with the MX900s, simply on account of the feedback I received. Hard to put into words, but when I did something wrong with the CG1s, Sioux Falls Garage Service

I bought these irons at a Goodwill store for 21 and change. They may be the best irons I own. The shaft bands say R E G U L A R and not much else. They swing great and have no bounce...NBD as I hit down too much. If I can contrive to swing these better...I can rule the world.

I use to play alot of golf a few years ago somewhere between 3 to 6 rounds a week back then i used a set of old nike blades that was given to me by my dad and those clubs were hard to hit but for some reason i hit them fairly well anyways i stopped playing all together for the last seven years i dont have those clubs anymore but within the past year or so i been getting that itch again and didnt wanna spend on purchasing a new set, one day i was at a thrift store near my house first thing i always do is head straight to the so called sport section low and behold was a full set of these irons and i know orlimar is a decent brand clubs were in great shape but the grips seen better days and the price lol $6.98 for the whole iron set and Two older model taylor made burners the irons seemed a bit heavy and didnt really know how i would hit them one day went out to the driving range and to my surprise i hit them irons great like i been playing for years i mean an effortless swing sends that ball screaming i felt like i was a pro at this stuff really i dont know what it is but these clubs are got me playing again twice a week now cause like i said it feels awesome my wife dont care to much about the clubs i guess i spend more time cleaning it instead of cleaning up but thats another story.https://arrangementfinders.com/profiles/GotMilf209/gallery/public

My wife wanted to go the shopping mall, so I told her I would drop her off. While she shopped I went over to the Sports Authority to look around. I noticed a number of loose irons stuffed into a golf bag. The irons were cheap children's clubs, but I noticed a new set of Orlimar SF302 iron in the pile. I pulled out the clubs and noticed that 7 iron was missing. I didn't know much about the Orlimars and I really didn't need any more irons, but they were $4.47 per club so I bought all 7 clubs (3-6,8-PW) for $ 33 dollars.

The clubs are very attractive, and come with an acceptable grip and a royal precision flighted shaft.(R-flex)

The irons were brand new with the exception of some glue from tape used to demo the clubs which I cleaned off.

I was not sure what they would be like to hit. They looked fairly difficult to hit and they are a little more difficult than your standard cavity back. When you don't make solid contact they will make a clicking sound, and can provide some jaring feedback when poorly struck.

You can hit a fade, draw, low or high shot. They really make it easy to work the ball. That's not my game as I want to hit the ball straight and the clubs perform well in that area.

Distance is not much different that what I was getting with my prior clubs. I hit the ball very high and that has everything to do with my swing and little to do with the club.

These clubs knocked my other set out of the bag and they did so for one reason. The feedback is addictive. I played forged blades from my teens to age 39 when I went to the deep cavity back irons. These irons are every bit as sweet as those blades. The SF stands for "softer than forged" and these live up to the marketing.

I have not lost or gained strokes with these clubs. I don't expect to improve my game beyond my previous clubs. I have these in the bag because they just feel great, and the thin top line reminds of a time when I could really hammer a long iron.

I have enjoyed playing with my Orlimars for the last 2 years, and I have shaved 3-4 strokes off my scores on average. My only problem is that I have had 2 clubs break and they are extremely difficult to replace...but maybe I should of had steel shafts all along.

Customer Service

Could be better, they were pretty useless in helping me replace clubs that had broken at the hosel.

Great Ceasars!, they are now giving these irons away, got mine slightly used for $200 bucks. Flighted Rifle firm. I really nice hitting iron, smooth, long, accurate. A very soft feel, like a forged iron. Can't go wrong with this set!
