I've been using the TM oversized burners with an S-90 shaft for about 2 years now and have been very pleased with them. I hit them 1 or 2 clubs longer than the others on the mid to short irons. Thought I'd try the Firesole's and bought the set. I've not gotten used to them perhaps but the heads feel a little lighter than the old burner O/S. They are a little less forgiving but do fly straight and will reward you with distance when hit fluidly and correctly. Club makes a different sound when it hits the ball and adds to the feedback of whether you hit the ball right. Not to crazy about them but will keep on trying....

These are the best clubs I ever tried. I've been playing for only 3 year, but when it came to buying new material I tested every club I could.
In the end I choose the Firesoles because they have the best preformance all around. They are not the longest, the most accurate, but in the end they are the more complete clubs.

These clubs are awesome. They give you the perfect feel and forgiveness that you can ask for. The club head is just the right size and the weight distribution is perfect such as that when you hit a 3 iron, you really don't need much effort. These are the best clubs that I have played with so far. I got these things about a week ago and I took them out to the range and compare it to my other irons. The TaylorMade is much easier to hit and the shots are dead straight all the time.

Used the Firesole's (graphite/S-90 shafts) for about a year with very good success. The clubs are easy to work and are have a nice sound at impact. Fairly forgiving, but are setup with 'hot' lofts so you will tend to hit them a little lower and longer.

Great clubs, changed over from Wilson Fat Shafts, owned Ping Zing before. Best feel yet, good shafts, grip is smallest weakness. Longer and more forgiving than Titleist 981 that I hesitated with. Excellent clubs.

I got these clubs from a recommendation by my friend after I tested them. So far I have been very satisfied with the performance of the Firsoles. Especially the ones with the rifle steel shaft. The tungsten helps with the distance...I am now getting 10-20 yards more than with my older clubs!!! For a bad swing, you may see some curvatures, but that might be the only fault of these clubs. However, when hit well and square, it gives you a nice satisfactory feel, not exactly a flush but close enough...a satisfying smooth, soft thud. GREAT!!! For Mid-High handicaps. For lower handicaps, the Taylor Made Firesole Tour might be good. Taylor Made is definitely one of the best out there!!!

Customer Service

I bought these clubs at a store, but i did talk to an operator on the phone. The service is great and they offer a great array of products.

I'm only 15, and started playing first when i was in 7th grade. I've switched from a Lynx iron set to the Taylor Made Firesole and so far, i am glad that i did so...I have a set with a steel shaft and the tungsten helps too...It is pretty forgiving and gives a tremendous amount of distance; distance is definitely these clubs strong point. It has a nice fell, not too much vibration. A Flush shot feels great!!! The shot is amazing when the ball is hit square, directly in the sweet spot. This should definitely be a set that you should consider buying!!!

These irons are very forgiving. I didn't like the original rifle shaft though, so I put in a sensicore shaft and they are now the best irons anyone could want.

For the women out there, these clubs are great for you also. I used to play with Callaway graphite regular flex and recently purchased these Taylormade R-80. I took them to the range and I can see the difference. These clubs feel great, and takes very little effort to get the yardage. I find that for me, the PW is just right and is about 10 yards longer than my old set (now around 100 yds full swing). I absolutely love these clubs and would recommend them to people who are just starting out or for people who have been playing for a while. I can't wait to get them on the course!
