I was a little skeptic about delving into a big purchse like these irons since I had been playing the Mizuno Mp33's for some time and I loved them. The only thing that I was looking for in buying these RAC TP Irons was just a little more forgiveness and a lower trajectory without losing the feel or workability of a true blade. Mission accomplished! I like that these irons are basically player dependant when it comes to how they perform. I wouldn't recommend them for more than a 12 handicaper. I believe that there are plenty of other set for alot less money that you can be very ahppy with, but if you really do want a blade type feel with a little more forgiveness and you play enough to justify spending this kind of cash, then by all means go for it. The only complain I have about these Irons is how long it took to get them. I was quoted by Taylor Made 2-3 weeks. It ended up being 5 and half weeks.

SO Far after a month and several rounds I'm not very pleased with these irons. I don't find them to be very workable and I tend to balloon any fade I try to hit. I have the s300 shaft which may be a little too soft for me at this point. Thus I'm not sure if the problem is in the shaft or head right now. I can say that the irons seem to perform fine for the stock high straight ball.. but lack the workability that you find in other forged irons. These irons are probably better suited for a 5-12 handicaper in my opinion. If you are a Player.... then don't be stupid and buy these like I did thinking you are going to get the best of both worlds with the forgivness of a cavity back and the feel of a muscle design... I just seem to think they lack a little feel. Thus I give them an ok rating.. which still may make then the best irons going for the good to mid level player. For me, I think I'm going to move on and give the Mizuno MP-32s a try and outfit them with a project x 6.0 shaft. Happy flag hunting!

Well i picked these up finally. ive had them for 2 weeks, played about 6 rounds with them and man are they great. Ive found it very easy to hit the ball with movement from left to right or right to left. they are more accurate then my old cavitys and are way longer. i used to hit my 6 iron from 160-165 now im hitting my 8 iron that distance. Do not be turned off by the low trajectory i still get these puppies sky high and very long. I oppted to get mine with flighted rifle 6.0 shafts and dont regret it, these are great clubs with super feel and exceptional quality. atleast demo these if your in the market for forged clubs. im so glad i gave them a shot. i might have been stuck with mizuno mp-32 instead.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made RAC TP (Dynamic Gold Stiff)

First of all these irons are absolutely gorgeouss. Purists will love them for their classical looks...but somehow TM have made them look "modern" as well. Good ball strikes are rewarded with a buttery soft little click off the clubface. Mis-hits give plenty of feedback, but they are surprisingly forgiving for tour style muscle/cavity irons. The ball can be worked with a little practice but mainly these babies just hit it straight. Distances have improved over my old irons (Mizuno MX23's) now carrying 6 iron to 165 and rolling out to around 180, but as we all know distance means nothing if you're in the rough...pleased to say accuracy has improved greatly. Buy them if you can hit the ball....you won't be disappointed. I was a little unsure whether I would be able to move to this type of iron from an oversized more forgiving one, but they are not too difficult to use given a little patience. Looking down at the club is a little daunting with the very compact head/thin top line, however confidence soon grows with a couple of good ball strikes. Taylor Made have done a great job with these forged irons...previously I would have only considered Mizuno forged clubs but I.M.H.O. the RAC TP's are superior in terms of feel, looks and value for money.

WOW thats all i can say. went to the golf store today to hit for the second time a set of mizuno mp 32. was sold on these clubs, hit them really well. Then the guy controling the launch monitor handed me these taylor made tp in the 6 iron and told me to swing away. i had my doubts but man oh man am i glad i hit these, i will be buying them in the coming week or two. i hit them way more accurate then the mizunos, all within a 5 yard swing from left to right of the target line. averaging yardage was around 175 yards witch was 10 yards longer then the mp 32. then i cranked it up and didnt lose much on the accuracy and i got the shots i cranked all between 200 to 210, wow. never thought i could get a 6 iron 200 yards. these will be in the bag very soon, go demo them, compare them to whatever else your looking at, i dont think you will be disapointed

I ve purchased the set and have hit them on the driving range.. they felt excellent.. but still cant get the lower trajectory i expected but its more accurate, lost a lil bit of distance still but things would work out fine... i could feel that! i would recommend anyone who have had basic swings to try on this set. Its not difficult to hit and would improve your ball striking! thats what everyone wants rite? the look of this set is quite eye catching too! u wont regret purchasing this.. i dun and i dun think i will! take my words. i can really turn the ball around. the workability is as good as u will expect... just that the price is a lil bit high.. so fork it out guys... u ll love every bucks u have spent for this.

I tried hitting Taylormade TP irons and Titleist 690MB this afternoon. I found that I could hit and control the ball better with the new Taylormade TP, though I just hit the balls off to the net. I am thinking of adding this new sets which hopefully would lower my scores in the near future. I will write another review after purchasing them and will tell you all how it is going. Please drop few lines here for those who have hit them. I would love to read it.
