I bought these clubs 2 months back for about $270 from Golfsmith. I had some trouble initially because I was trying to swing too hard. After i got used to it I am getting about 10 yards more from my shorter irons and about 20 yards more with the long irons. The best thing is the control and I am able to go for the pin now. I am stil having some trouble with 3 & 4 irons but hopefully with some practice I will be able to use them as well as I can use the others.

Wow, these irons are just superb and are quite simply the easiest clubs I have hit since taking up the game 20 years ago. Having recently purchased them via Online golf at a snip price of £199.00, they are without doubt the most forgiving clubs I have hit. Because I am able to hit my irons into the greens with more height I now find myself playing more consistently and two days ago I posted my first every sub 74 round. In my opinion, these clubs are made for any +5 handicap golfer. Also for all those people who cant seem to hit the ball in the sweet spot, these clubs would be for you because the sweet spot is almost as big as the entire club. Buy these clubs and you will see an improvement in your game!!! The clubs are really easy to play with. All you have to do is swing the club through the ball and the club does the work, its almost effortless. They also hit the ball very far, before these i played with callaway X14's but these clubs add 10s of yards on to my shots. I play off 9 but im sure my handicap is going to lower thanks to these clubs. Lastly, any self respecting golfer will argue that looks matter - theres no point owning clubs that you think look disgusting and you wont be dissapointed with these.
After buying these clubs I realized why TaylorMade makes the Best Irons, Drivers, and Fairway Woods on the PGA tour, my only disappointment is that I have just wasted 4 years persevering with my Callaways that in a nutshell arent in the same class as these babies.

I was looking to upgrade my irons because the ones I'm using are at least 15 years old. An acquaintance had a set of these for sale and I was able to try them out for a few rounds. The postives are that they are nice to hit out of bad lies and the rough, and the 8-SW are easy to control. But I have a tendancy to slice and the longer irons just added to the problem. Also, the distances were eractic, probably due to the very low sweet spot. For instance, I flew the green and went out of bounds because I middled the shot and then came up way short with the same club. Hard to have a good game when you can't hit your irons consistently.

I was playing senior graphite shafted Adams and that is a good set but I found out my swing set is still too fast for senior flex. So after readin reviews here, bought the Rac HT's with steel regular flex. At first the extra offset threw me off during my 1st round but by my 2nd round I was hitting them straight and higher and longer than my last regular graphite shafted set of Callaway X-18's. I like the OS head giving me extra confidence. There is no harsh feeling even on slight mis-hits. The steel shafts are more consistent in holding direction than the graphite shafts. Just concentrate on making sure the club is not closed or open and make a smooth swing. The ball will go straight and high everytime. I can even hit the 3 & 4 irons well with these but I will stay with my hybrids for those 2 clubs..the hybrids are a tad easier. Paid $300 by mail-order in factory sealed new condition.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made RAC HT irons with the stock graphite stiff shafts.

Great irons. Very easy to get up in the air. The long irons (3,4,5) are very similiar in performance to the hybrids I've tried - very easy to hit high and with distance.

Thought the offset would be an issue with my slight draw, but shots just go straight and high.

HT's distance is longer than the Ping G2's I played with for 3 years, and forgiveness is about the same. HT's biggest advantage over the G2's is ease of use - it's hard not to get the ball close to your intended target.

Bonus: the HT's feel soft yet very solid when you hit 'em.

I have never played better with any other club but these. I had a very fast swing and had to slow it down for these clubs. But when I slowed down. i figured out how to lower my handicap. There the best for price I bought at set on ebay for 250.00 take a look and you can find some yourself. but these are the best clubs

There is only one thing to say about these clubs, they are great!! I purchased them when i had a 18 average of 85-90, because of these clubs and a lot of practice i have been able to bring my handicap down to a 5. The only bad thing i can say about these clubs is that, i have a very fast swing speed with my irons its around 105mph. The reason i am telling you this is because i had to have my irons regrooved because the ball would slide up the face after a year and a half. Everything else is top notch on these clubs.

I just recently bought these irons after graduating from a set of old wilsons, and let me tell you, these things are sweet. Dont worry about the ht, the trajectory is not to the balooning effect , but it is nice and makes for a very soft landing on the green. I am a player who usually struggles with my irons, particulary getting them up in the air, but these get the ball up with little effort. In fact, you can barely swing and the ball explodes off the clubface. In fact, i have already played 18 holes with them and did not mis hit these clubs one time. In fact i tried to mis hit them on the range by swinging with the ugliest swing possible, and it still had a high, penetrating ball flight. For a mid handicapper who shoots in the high eighties or low 90's, or someone who struggles getting their irons up in the air, buy these clubs immediaetly. You can get a set for about $400 now, so the time couldnt be better. Get a set, you'll be glad you did!

I have a TaylorMade R580 but have never had any problems with it that would require customer service. I think TaylorMade makes the best clubs on the market, so i dont think i'll ever need it.

Model Reviewed: TM RAC HT 3-P Lite steel ll R flex

I have to start off by saying that i am a club junky and that this is my third set of irons ive bought THIS season alone. That said i feel i have a pretty good basis for comparison. It has been my mission this summer to find the "perfect" set of golf clubs for my game and while there is still allot to be figured out with the rest of my bag i can safely say that my iron search is now over.

I bought these on ebay for a cool $235 and i was worried at first that my swing speed might be a little fast for these irons in a regular flex as my 6 iron speed is between 75-80 mph which lands me right at the bottom of the stiff category but i wanted more distance so i opted for the regular flex and the price was right so i pulled the trigger.

Today was the first day out and i had only planned on hitting a bucket of balls today to get used to them but after the first few shots i knew i finally found the right irons for me and the empty course was calling my name so i snuck in an unscheduled 18 with them.

The feel of these irons are just amazing. You get great feedback from them (unlike most game imprivement irons i have tried) and yet they are still extremely forgiving. I think the thing i like best about these irons though is the lite feel. These babies practically swing themselves and ive actually slowed my swing down and still gotten better distance than my prevous irons. Another thing i really like about these clubs is the thin top line. Sure they have a massive sole but you dont even notice it at address and they set up very clean so long as your use to playing irons with an offset. Dont let the HT fool you, these irons dont fly so high that they balloon, lose distance or get blown around in the wind. In fact, they have a picture perfect trajectory and watching your ball sore makes you feel like there should be a camera crew following the ball flight. The one strange thing i would say about these clubs though is that i was fading the ball a little more than i usually do but once i accounted for this i was able to hit a nice draw which is a welcome change from the snap hook i got with my last set when i tried to draw it. All in all i would say i love EVERYTHING about these irons and wish i had bought them earlier and saved some of the bigger money i spent on other clubs before i found these. I plan to add the gap wedge and sand wedge to complete my set as i already have a TM rac 60* Lob wedge that i like. If i had to make one negative comment about these clubs it would be that the grips are a little smoother than im used to but i like the alignment aids on them though i will probably have them regripped for next season.

I started the season with Callaway 04 big berthas 4-10+P+S and switched to a set of 06 Big Berthas 4-P+A+S because i didnt like the loft configuration of the 04's with the silly 10 iron i kept choosing the wrong club. Both sets of Irons are very good and they play almost the exact same as each other but they are heavier than the TMs and i dont like the Micro taper uniflex shafts they had. I think the Taylormades are just as good if not better (more workable i think) and you can get a much better deal on them than you can the Callaways.
