I have been playing golf for over 18 years now and when I started out playing I really did not care what kind of club I hit as long as I made good contact with the ball. A few years ago I went out and bought a set of Tommy Armour 845's. At the time I absolutely fell in love with them. I played with them until I really felt I needed a change in my game, you know something with a little more pop on the end of your swing. Well, I definitely got my pop when I bought my new Taylor Made RAC HT's. Every shot felt more crisp and you can not miss the sweet spot on the face of these irons if you really tried. I love these new irons and will continue to play them until my body can no longer get me out on the course.

I bought these irons about 4 months ago and they are awesome. I tried out the nike nds irons and king cobra 3100 irons< and the rac ht irons are far better than the others. These clubs will get the ball in the air and has exellent distance. I dont skull many shots since I bought these clubs. They are very forgiving on a miss hit you really have to toe the ball or heel it to hit a bad shot. I have dropped a few shots with them. I bought the ones with graphite shafts and I dont think the grips are to bad I might regrip them next year. But the are awesome clubs I highly recomend them

I have been playing for just under 3 years and living in Canada just doesn't give me enough time in the winter to hone my game. I decided to just splurge just a little bit and got rid of my Ram FX2's and got the Taylormade RAC HT. These are awesome clubs for a high handicaper. So easy to get the ball up in the air. All you have to remember is to swing easy and try not to kill the ball. I have noticed a gain of about ten yards per club over my previous set. Shots are high but not balooning. I would recomend these clubs over the Callaway Big Berthas which I also demoed before deciding on the Taylormades.

Wow!!!!! I love these irons. I almost bought the Nike Slingshot irons but at the last minute I thought what the heck and decided to try these out at the pro shop. Boy am I glad that I did. Not only did I save a bunch of money, but I fell in love with these irons. My handicap went from 25 to 15. It wasn't just the irons but that was a lot of it. The only complaint that I have about the irons is the grip. When it gets wet you might as well call it a day. I would recommend these to any mid to high handicapper.

These replaced and ageing set of Pings, it took a lot to make the switch as I'd used Ping for the last 19 years but a brief waggle of these in the pro shop convinced me I needed to give them a try. Overall I'm very pleased with them, I went for the 'old mans' HT model as I tend to hit very low. from 6-sw they're all extremely easy to aim/hit and feel very solid. slight mis-hits really don't feel much different to those right out of the middle. I'm also finding that I'm about a club or so longer with these than my old pings. Not really important but I have had to adjust to it. Some people seem to be saying that you can't work the ball with these clubs. Not true, granted they're very straight but since when has that become a bad thing? One final thing - I agree with a few others here that the grips are awful.

Bought these on ebay. For the first 3 rounds I couldn`t hit them then I finally got the right feel and now I hit every iron shot dead nuts straight. Even the 3 and 4 iron. Flight is higher than normal but no lost distance.I believe it took me a while to get used to the OS head. Guys in my 4some are thinking of switching. Factory grips suck-regripped with winn excel oversize.

I haven't been playing golf very long (I'm 20 years old right now), and have been using a set of steel shafted Titleist DCI 962 irons for the past 5 or 6 years. Given my skill level, they were by no means suited to my playing style, but my Dad got a great deal on them back in the day for me as a birthday present, so who was I to question him? Anyway, I've always had a mild to horrible slice, and could never make consistent contact with the DCIs. Being 6'2", I would also have problems occasionally with topping the ball. I felt it was time for a change, so I splurged and picked up the HTs for $420 after shipping on eBay, which was a great deal. I took them to the range and was blown away by how much consistency had creeped into my shots. Although the irons are marketed towards those who have difficulty getting the ball in the air, they by no means skyrocket your good shots. Good ball striking with this set results in nice, clean, soft landing shots. The wider sole seems to add a little extra weight to the bottom of the clubhead, which aids in crisper shots, and less skulled balls. As for my slice? Well, obviously the set is not a cure-all, but I was definately slicing fewer shots than I used to with the DCIs. I highly recommend these irons for those of you out there who need a little help from your equipment to give you an edge out on the links. An excellent purchase. P.S. When I got them in the mail, the first thing I did was cut off the grips and put on brand new Winn V17 AVS regular firm grips. Personally, I think the stock taylor made grips are garbage. Who cares though? You can grip a 3-PW set with Winns for less than $40.

I just purchased a set of RAC HTs a couple of weeks ago, (was playing an old set of Titliest DCIs). The HTs are a fantastic set of irons; good distance and nice high trajectory. They are delivering the performance that I thought they would. I have found that these clubs go further, and higher, than my old irons; the higher trajectory is offset somewhat by the clubs strong lofts (the pitching wedge, for example, is 45 degrees as compared to the more traditional 48 degrees). The HTs are and exceptional set of irons and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new set of irons. One thing that needs to be said: Do not try to overpower these irons, they don't perform well with swings that are overpowering. You need to really have a smooth tempo to get the most out of these clubs.

These are absolutely excellent clubs! I have tried most everything under the sun and there are many good iron sets out there. The new Ping G2's are good, and the Cleveland TA-7's are also. BUT - the HT's are more solid feeling and easier to hit than either of them. In fact I would rate the HT's as being the easiest to hit set of irons I have ever played - especially the 3 and 4 irons. Nice high soft landing shots. Not shorter - just nice trajectory.
