Titleist 731 Phil Mickelson Set Irons

Titleist 731 Phil Mickelson Set Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Limited Edition 731PM irons are a blended set of cavity back long irons, hybrid mid irons and muscle back short irons developed by Phil Mickelson and Titleist. These irons are the exact product specifications as Phil Mickelson who has been using them since the second half of the 2001 PGA tour season. The objective in designing these irons was to offer better left-handed players a more traditional blade iron choice.

First off, I'd like to say that I have tried almost all clubs that most people ohave heard of. Callaway, Ping, Taylormade, Cleveland, Ben Hogan, Cobra, Spalding, everything (mostly at demo days) and I'm very proud to say that these irons are the best irons that I (and you if you ever try them) have ever played or hit. Firstly, their feel is next to none. When you hit a clean shot, which happenes most of the time, you can barely feel the ball as the iron blasts the ball tight to the pin. Even on mis-hits, these irons don't feel all that bad. If a shot is hit thin, you don't get that hard-as-a-rock feel that you get from most irons, it feels almost like it would on a normal shot with most other irons. Secondly, the design of these irons is genius. You get higgh spin and excellant high trajectory out of the low irons (which are blades), amazing trajectory and forgivness from the muscle-back mid-irons and amazingly high trajectory and feel from the low irons (cavity-backs). The low irons are so easy to hit due to their cavity-back design. I can actually finally hit a 3 and 4 iron! Also, these irons produce the most spin out of any iron I've ever tried. I can spin back Intehc Titaniums, Dunlop Locos, Titleist DT 2-Peices and Top-Flite XLs like they are Pro-V 1s. And wow, the spin you get out of a Pro-V1 is absolutly astounding. Another amazing features of these excellant irons is theircrazy ability to be able to create any shot you want with exceptional ease. You can hit a slice when you want to if you're behind a tree, you can hit a hoiok when you want to on those tough doglegs, you can hit the ball low toget great roll or to just get under a tree. All these shots are made extremely easy by the amazing workability of these irons. I love my irons and I hope I will be able to continue to use them for a long time. Oh ya, the month after I bought them I dropped my handicap from a 16 to a 10. Go on, you have the ability to play better, just buy Phil Mickleson's exact set of irons, play titleist 731PMs.

Customer Service

When I demoed and bought these irons, the dealers made me feel like a real golfer and not just some customer that they wanted money from.

Nothing even compares to the superb feel, workability, forgiveness, design, spin and distance of the superior irons. Especially not taylormade, anything made by taylormade is unforgiving.

Ok, I have to admit that 731 pm is the BEST irons set that I've ever played. I order my 731 with DG R-300 Lite, and down 2* loft angle. The original loft angle is too strong and will have a gap with my current sw(56*)/aw(60*). For short irons(8,9,p), I can not feel any difference between my Ping i3(cavity) and 731, but 731's 6,7 irons are better than my old one. For long irons, I am suprised that 731 are so forgiving and easy to play. I haven't hit 200 yards with my 4 iron before, but I did it with 731! I am just a weekend golfer, even a lot of friends recommend 690.MB, but I definitely know that I am not ready for that set. A reviewer said 690.MB is better than 731, but I have to say 731 is better for a weekend golfer. I have tried 690.MB and just can not get 'feedback' from it.

Customer Service

Great, change to DG R-300 Lite for free and $40 to adjust loft angle.

I started playing golf with Wilson staff tour blades and played many different clubs since then. I purchased the 731pm's and was not quiet sure about the hybrid set up but found they all hit the same and although blades, are somewhat forgiving on off center shots. Delightful clubs to play and if you are a low/mid handicapper, I would recommend these clubs to you. I bought mine 1 degree less loft and they hit great. Thank you Titleist and Phil for a great set of clubs for us " Lefties ".

These irons play as true as any other blade. The stronger loft does present a gap with the pitching wedge and sand wedge (s). The cavity back in the longer irons is a great idea. If you strike the ball well these are a great set clubs.

Titleist, as always, is high end, high quality equipment. You get what you pay for. The Phil Mick's are beautiful clubs, finally a player's club for the "Southpaw". Although, muscle backs and blades in the mid and short irons, these are very playable clubs and suited for Mid to Low handicappers. They are not as forgiving as a Callaway or Cleveland TA-5 but still have some forgiveness. Very solid at ompact and feel like a forged iron. Short iron's are very accurate...They are so beautiful that I find myself cleaning them and keeping them in impeccable condition...If your a southpaw and can afford a true players club...go hit these.

WAS TOLD BY TITLEIST THAT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ANY FORGED BLADES FOR LEFTIES SO I BOUGHT THESE AND DID ENJOY THEM FOR AWHILE. THEN I NOTICE DUE THE STRONG LOFTS MY DISTANCE CONTROL SUFFERED AND I DIDN'T LIKE THE LOOKS OF THE YONEX ADX TOUR SORRY THE LONG IRONS. SOLD THEM FOR 500.00 AT GCE AND BOUGHT THE 690MB'S FOR 700.00!!!!!!!NOW THESE ARE CLUBS(SEE REVIEWS)

These irons are the purest I have ever hit. I am a college golfer who plays for feel, and there is a lot of that in these irons. People ask me if they make them in right handed and I have to say no. Titleist would make money hand over fist if they made these in right handed. Thses clubs have no competitor even close to them. Thses irons are one of a kind!

Customer Service

Have used these irons for a full season and do not have one complaint. Excellent feel for a cast club that you would swear is forged. Long irons are easier to hit than my previous set (990's) and the shorter irons give me a more penetrating ball flight and lead to greater accuracy. The clubhead has a heavier feel so you know what is going on in the backswing. Strong lofts on all irons did make me change my wedge lofts so that there was an equal gap between each club. I will be keeping these for quite sometime.

Customer Service

Bob Martins Golf was excellent, I received the clubs 2 weeks earlier than expected. I only found out about this set because an employee knew I was looking for a set that was closer to a forged look and feel and called when they found out about the set being made.
