These clubs are the most accurate irons for me. I used to use offset Callaway x-14 irons. They were forgiving but I didn't have the confidence that I could control the exact area of the green to hit. I shoot in the 80's only because of poor putting. So every chance I get, I try to hit the ball closer to the pin. These irons allow me to do this and more. Sometimes during the round I need to hook the ball around a tree to be on the green in regulation. These 990's are so workable that I have no problems with doglegs anymore. I love these clubs and I'm sure you will too. These will stay in my bag for a long time.

Had these clubs built for me. Thanks to Brad At Stadium Golf. The custom fitting is a must. I tried the MP-33's which felt good also. I just couldn't feel the extra $150 for them. Maybe when I get better I will be able to tell the difference. The 990's have solid feel with a lower ball flight. Much more accurate than the 855's I was playing both in line and distance. I'm able to work the ball fairly easily with all of the clubs. Miss hits will get you some feedback, I've had a couple of stingers! But the Tour Flighted Rifle shafts absorb the shock, much better than the DG X-100 shafts I tried. I think clubs are a great value, custom fitting is a must. I never would have guessed I needed a 1° upright, 1/4" short club. Makes a big difference when you are hitting the ball on the sweet spot most of the time.

Blades/Semi blades are for everyone not just the low handicapers and tour pros. Just try them first. People tried to put me off saying These clubs are for low handicapers and tour pros. "Balls!". I actually find the Sweet spot more than with oversize cavity backs. The look The feel, More clubs should be made this way.

i found 2nd hand 990 rifle shaft at a small golf shop in hong kong. owner of the shop strongly recommand this to me and what a club.....
when you hit it right, it reacts right away with accurate & powerful arch... but when you hit it bad, you should be very be careful. it will even harm yur fingers.... simply luv this. you can't get any better than this.

Great set of irons. Three iron, which I usually cant hit with other sets, was as easy to hit as the Pitching Wedge. Mis-hits were not as harsh as expected, but stock grips tear up your hand. Teaches you to consistently hit the sweet spot. Lets me become the target golfer I want to be. Would recommend to anyone, amazing set of clubs.

Having used Taylor Made Burners for the past 5 Years, I had this yearning for some new toys. I tried everything on the market, Callaways, pings etc etc. In short, my pro handed me the 990's for a round. I had a nightmare!, all the clubs were coming up short, by as much as two clubs!. Handing them back was easy. At this point my Pro was confused as he thought they would suit me perfectly, having grown up on Blades. It was at this point that he realised he had given me the Stiff shaft set. All apologies made, I played with him last week with the 990's and regular shafts, and they were awesome, the feel you get with this club is fantastic. Hitting them as far as the Taylor mades, but with Much more control. if you are in the 10-15 handicap bracket, dont feel these clubs are not for you, they will make you a better player.

Excellent Feel. Good feedback on location of face contact.
These irons reward an aggressive move at the ball like a blade, but punishment for a poor swing is more on line with true cavity- backs. Workable to an extent.
Love the looks, right shafts, right grips.
Some corrosion inside cavity, not due to poor care.
These are an excellent example of why Tits is #1

I absolutely dislike the 990's I went and tried them out and could not hit a five iron any farther on the center than I could with the Cleveland TA5 six iron on the heel.
