These clubs are outstanding. They have a great feel and are straight as an arrow. Chipping and pitching are a cinch. Best set I've ever hit! Made a hole in one with my last set and these feel better.

After 23 years of playing golf with substandard clubs, I finally decided to buy a new set of clubs for myself. Deciding which ones would be the hard part. I asked for advice at the golf shop and was given a 7 iron from four different sets to try out (Taylor Made R7's, Orlimar, Nike CCI and Wilson Deep Red II's). After half a bucket of balls, the Taylor Made and Orlimars were set aside which left the Nikes and Wilsons. The Nikes and the Wilsons are very similar in feel, but the Wilsons won out in distance. I liked the Nikes very much and was looking for every reason I could to find fault with the Wilsons, but I couldn't do it. I ended up buying the Wilsons and have been more than happy to have them in my bag. Great feel and distance. If you're in the market for new clubs, don't be afraid to check out the closeout rack and try the Deep Reds. You might find that you same some money, too.

I played these irons 3 seasons ago and occasionally still enjoy hitting them (another set that is found in my closet)

These irons do exactly what they say they do... they improve your distance.

If you are looking for an Iron you can work or has great playability, you can stop reading this review or researching this product because that's not what they are all about.

These irons, equipped with fat shafts and a dream for anyone struggling with the consistency of their iron play.

They are a tad bit heavy and bulky, but they hit the ball straight and are probably 1 club longer than just about any other iron I've ever played.

If you like to get out on the course and crank on the old white round ball, you would probably enjoy playing with these clubs. They will improve your accuracy and length.

I would rate these irons a 5, but their lack of playability keeps them from being a complete iron in my opinion.

I Started playing golf 6 years ago with a set of cavity back power built irons. By the end of the year switched to big berthas for two years. I then traded clubs twice until I tried the wilson's. Most of my friends laughed that "I was taking steps backwards in technology and name brand". Since then, They have traded their clubs in hopes of getting my disatnce and accuracy. 80% swing PW = 135 yds and my favorite club in the bag is the 3 iron. I am completely sold on these irons and truly believe they perform better than any game improvement iron on the market today. Give them a try and you to will love their performance and price($200). Currently shoot between 78-82 on courses of 6500-6800 yards. The 10-15yds extra distance on these irons makes a huge difference. Oh, One more thing, These irons aesthetics are so pleasing to the eye and brimming with confidence. This coming from a person who used to swear by callaway and titleist.

These clubs hit the ball very far indeed. I have improved accuracy by vast margins. I used to score in the 100's with my set of Nothwesterns but my mother bought me the Deep Reds and I have began playing awesomely. Some guys at my club even say I remind them of Tigir Woods.I am no longer scared to bet people that I will hit a good shot. I usually make a par unless I don't feel good. Then I might bogey or lose a ball or 2. The clubs swing really soft and the grips allow me to line up my shoulders. All in All...I would say that Wilson has made a good set of Sticks. The Fat Shafts dont bend much and that makes the ball fly higher. I have found that if you chop down on a ball from 80 yards in,it will spin backwards and look awesome. Take it from someone who knoes, These are fine swatters. See you on the tor.

These clubs are great for hitting straight shots. I really like the fact that top line is doesn't look really thick like other game improvement irons. The only thing with these irons is that you cannot customize the loft or lie due to the fact that the hosel on these clubs are cut too short. I wanted to adjust these 2* flat but was told that they were not able to bend them at my local golfsmith. Other than that fact these are really great irons and a super value.

The distance is pretty consistant from 3-pw but the sw seems a tad short 60-80 yards while hitting the pw 110-120. I would advise dropping the sw and getting a gap & lob wedge instead .

I recently tried these clubs at a driving range and I have to say that they are a really good set of sticks (pw-3). After hitting balls for an hour I was in a dilemma. At the time, I had the titleist 704cb's in my bag, but, on the range, I hit the deep red II's 10-15 yards further. I eventually traded in the 704's and picked up the wilsons.

After my first round with them, I am glad I made the switch. These irons go long and straight. I know that I am not a great ball striker so these irons must be very forgiving.

My complaints:
1. There is minimal feel with this club. I couldn't tell you whether the ball made contact near the toe, heel, or center, (with the 704's you know exactly where on the clubface you make contact). Of course, with the Wilsons, it usually didn't matter goes the ball flew straight with minimal loss of distance on whatever mis-hits I did happen to make.

2. The PW is a little erratic. When I hit it flush, it goes 130. But about a quarter of the times that I used the club, there was a strange sort of soft push to the right that I had to deal with. This could be the result of a swing flaw or maybe it is the PW...prolly my swing.

If you are currently struggling with youyr iron game and desire more distance from your irons, try these.
