Wilson Pi5 Performance Irons

Wilson Pi5 Performance Irons

DESCRIPTION

Each iron in the Pi5 series is designed to move a precise amount of mass to the club's periphery, creating maximum forgiveness during off-center hits. The unique back weighting of the Pi5 design goes from an undercut cavity in the long irons to a standard cavity back in the short irons. This design progressively moves the CG location giving players an arsenal of advantages – from a higher flight with more forgiveness to a lower, more controlled ball flight for maximum shot making capabilities – all with the soft feel of 431 stainless construction.

I just spent the summer with a golf Pro working on a consistent inside to inside swing. After he had taken about 8 shots off my game (using Nike SS's) He said you have a beautiful swing but your clubs are holding you back. He went to his car and brought back a set of Pi5's and I hit two buckets with them. I added a club and a half to every shot plus found accuracy I only dreamed of.. I bought them from him on the spot. Never thought I would be hitting a blade like this.. Shot my first 80 with them and I will break 80 this year.. Tremendous value.

Outstanding irons. Got mine for $30 plus shipping for a 3-PW set on Ebay... unbelievable! And is 7.5/10 condition...

I have the S flex DG S300 shafts.

These irons remind me of the great Titleist DCI series, especially the 762's, but better balanced and better feel and better distance. Solid as a rock, almost no offset, nice heavier swing weight.

These are very accurate irons.. they have some forgiveness, but probably better for those with a pretty consistent swing... 90's shooters can find better forgiveness with sticks like the RAC ht's or the Slingshot 4D irons.

I was playing the Ping i5 irons, great but too light in the head. My Taylor original CGB's were fabulous, but the graphite R flex was too soft.

I can see why Paddy played these, they are a no nonsense iron that is consistent and performs as well as you do. The trajectory is lower than the game improvement clubs by a good margin, but is great. The feel is great, not too soft, not too hard... solid, and some good blast effect on the pured shots.

I didn't pay much attention to Wilson stuff, but these are a BIG winner. $30 for the set was insane, but really, they are worth the $150 or so if you can find a clean set and have a pretty good game.

Great sticks!!

i got these recently at a local golf shop, i am not a real good golfer but i can manage a good round. i tried many clubs in the shop in the simulator room,i found that i hit these about 5-7 yds farther than the rest and remarkably straight for me it was a surprise as i usually dont hit irons the best in the world but with these im thinking i will hopefully see scores in the 80s very soon !!!!!!!!!

These are the best irons ot there for the price. The thig that i like about them the most is the look and the feel of them. When you hit it good if feels like butter. Also you cant go wrong with an iron set that won the british end irish open with.

I was playing the Wilson Di5s before giving these a shot. I was tired of the oversized look of the Di5s, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to hit the Pi5s consistently. I definitely can. I love these things. They feel so solid. They are a steal for the money ($200 on rockbottom.com). I'll be hanging on to these for years to come.

My handicap has dropped five since I started using these four months ago.
Long irons terrific, consistently long and straight.
Mid irons also very easy to hit even from the semi rough.
Short irons lack feel for distance control. I need a wedge set to complement.
Very good looking clubs, though the polished finish scuffs quickly and they lack some club house presence.
Great choice if you are after a small headed, quality iron on a limited budget.

Great irons. If anyone has told you that being an amateur golfer means that you can't hit tour quality irons they are liening to you. I am a prety good ball striker but I became better once I bought these irons. Overall these irons are great and can be purchased for 150 dollars which is a steal. These irons are a blade and cavity back hybid with the 8-Pw being blades with tops in between blade thin and cavity back. While the 3-7 irons are cavity back for more forgiveness.

WOW, I needed a 2nd set for a little variety, i beleive Wilson has been making some quality, yet sorely underated , clubs for the last couple years, found such a good deal and favoring a more traditional iron, I bought a set new in box, they are really pleasant to look at, also the head weight is almost perfect for my swing ,took em out to the range, and was really pleased, the minimal offset and smallish heads, make the ball look pretty large compared to a lot of the more popular cavity backs out now, overall a great bargain on a quality product
