One of the best putters ever made. Putters are fickle things, to be sure, and the Futura is no exception. I have had this putter for about 6 years and it is the most consistent putter I have ever used. It does come with one hard fast rule. It was designed for and works the best on fast greens. This is not a muny putter. If you play shaggy greens, even part of the year, get a second putter for those times. If the greens aren't stimping at 10 or better, use the other putter. You'll figure it out after a few times, just spend some time on the putting green before you play. This putter was designed a built specifically for Tour Pros who play very fast greens. Not us and our public courses. I have a heavier Scotty as my other putter. The two of them have yet to let me down in 6 years. I mess around with other putters (don't we all) but in tournaments or money games I use one of them.

I must mention one other thing I've seen in the reviews. I find it humorous when a reviewer says they're a good putter but their first complaint is aboutnthe Futuras face being open at address. Good putters do not ground their putter, so why would you care what the face does when you put the putter on the ground? That and I truly believe that if you don't at least like this putter you should work on your putting. Differing opinions about feel is understandable, but a good putter should be able to use this putter to its potential whether they like the feel or not.

Also, complaints about the price? If you can find the right putter, which you'll use, if your lucky, only twice as often as your driver, for less than your driver. I think you should pay the man and run for the door, because you just got the best deal in golf.

Customer Service

Always pleasant.

I have been playing the Futura putter for 7years and it is still in the bag! It is by far the most consistant piece of equipment that i have ever used. The players in your group might notice the "tink" sound that the club makes when it contacts the ball but consistantly the ball rolls end over end and is very easy to line up putts with the back end of the putter. Get it! You wont be sorry.

Throughout my high school golfing career, I shot in the low to mid 80s and could never putt. I took a break from golf in college because I couldn't afford to play. After graduation, I have begun to play again and after 3 rounds with a different putter, I picked up a Futura.

Let me say that after the first 9 holes I played with this putter, I am yet to 3-putt since. It is unbelievably consistent, easy to line up, and generally just a great putter. There are some complaints about the sound it makes and the way it looks from other reviews but I can honestly say that when I am sinking everything within about 10 feet of the hole, I don't even notice what sound my putter makes on contact. As for the design, it is functional in its "ugliness." I have also maintained for quite sometime that, to me, it is so weird looking that it actually looks good.

Basically, I love it, and it has cut 8-10 strokes a round off my game.

Outstanding. Sure it looks a little out there... and it is a little light. But it is a great putter. All golfers are different, that's why so mush different stuff is sold of all different designs... but for me, this is one of the best ever.

Great feel, great alignment, great distance control, and the best short putter I have ever had. Once I got used to the light weight, which facilitated a shorter backswing and additional control, I started making putts. And I had been struggling, taking a different putter out every round.

Imagine keeping the same putter in the bag for months or even years. Wow!

Everything. Kudos to the Ping Craz-e G5i... almost as nice, just not quite by a whisker. For you blade boys... it is the Cameron Newport 2, choose your style... or the original Nickent Hush milled for the short budget! :-)

I have always been a reasonable putter buy recently started to become inconsistent especially with my alignment. This 'starship' has solved that problem and is also very light unlike many mallets on the market which suits me just fine. The only drawback is if you don't use balls with a soft cover the 'tinney' sound is not confidence inspiring.

In regard to the previous poster (James Bond)...I guess "different strokes for different folks"! I guess I have tried 20+ putters over the last several years trying to find that "perfect" putter...however, I always come back to the Scotty Cameron Futura! I don't like the looks of it, but it is one awesome putter (And...I guess making putts is more important that looks!)I have decided to stick with it cause it just has no equal (IMHO).
