First impressions are not always the best impressions in the case of this putter. It seemed a tough one to look at and line up your shot. I must say just get past the appearance and this putter will serve you well. It really grows on you. It is not for the golfer with a jerky stroke. It promotes a smooth motion. It allows you to easily move it left, right, or right down the center of the cup at will. This putter builds confidence whether the putt is short or long. It is well made and well thought out. I did not find it to be too light as others have stated and am using the 35" model. The grip is comfortable and accomadates consistent hand position. The cover is a bit wacky and cumbersome but does the job well. Nice job on this unusual but fine putter.

I was so excited when i finally saw this in the display case but when i hit a few putts with it man was i disapointed. I dont know if the display was bent or something but just holding it lightly you could fell the face wanting to twist open about 5 degrees. I dont know if this is a feature to help it stay square during the stroke but it really threw me off at first. Now its super light so with any firm grip the twisting isnt an issue but really i think its to light. I would of thought a heavier putter to have a better pendiulm motion. The 2 ball and the nike ring putter both do to my feel. Now the putter did give the ball a nice roll but i found distance control very hard and alignment not that easy as well. Ive got nothing against the price as it does look well made but i just expected more. I ended up buying a 2 ball dfx that day as that putter was everything i thought the futura would be. Its not horrible but i sure expected more, people seem to be having great success with it so still give it a try, even just for fun

Unbelievable! I have never used a putter like this. It swings so smoothly and the face never ever closes or opens on impact. The ball always goes where you aim it and it is extremely easy to aim.

I found out about this putter June of 2002, this was before Phil used it. After searching all over for the club, I found it at my local course and did not hesitate to spend the $255 on the 34 inch model. This is my fourth Scotty Cameron, and by far the my favorite! The Futura has replaced my 2-Ball, and I can't be happier! My distance control has improved and I no longer dread the 4 footer. I look at the putter as a work of art that can lower your scores! Like I told my wife, "If it's good enough for Lefty, it is good enough for me!"

After reading mixed reviews about the Odyssey 2 Ball Putter I decided against buying one and was just going to stick with my Ping Anser 2. I wanted a lighter putter and obviously the 2 Ball did not work. I spotted this putter at my local course pro shop and took it out to the practice green. I could not believe how much lighter this was than any other putter I have used given its size. The most amazing was given its weight you do not need to take hardly any backswing to get the ball to the hole. My assumption is that due to the milled face the ball gets rolling earlier and doesn't skid, thus giving you more distance. After two rounds my distance control is deadly and I am no longer afraid of the dreaded 3 footer to save par/bogey etc. If you can get past the looks and the price I would highly recommend this putter. I agree with the previous reviewer that if you will pay $400 for a driver, why not $300 for a putter! That is my justification for the 5 value rating. I promise you that you will not be disappointed, I am definitely not. Thank you Scotty Cameron and Titleist, now maybe I can break 80!

I have had an eye on this putter since I saw Phil Mickelson using one late last year on a US PGA Tournament. When it was available, I tracked E-bay and finally got a 34" version (supposed to be heavier than the standard 35") for my Birthday. The first impression was very good for its looks and the quality of its manufacture. As far as its performance as a putter, I was very puzzled to start with, even disappointed as when placed on the floor it does not automatically align, but twists towards the right. I am now used to what I understand has been engineered on purpose. I have used it for as many as 8 rounds so far and the results are the following: At the exception of my first two rounds, where I had a couple of 36 putts per round(including 2 or 3 greens with 3 putts), I have shot an average of 29,4 putts in the last six rounds with a round with 28 putts. A pity that it takes me so many shots to the greens before I can grap my putter, these are serious statistics for a former hacker. Shortish putts (Less than 3 feet) are virtually impossible to miss, the alignment system is far better than the 2-Ball Odyssey. This is a Yips curer, to make it work, you must use a full pendulum swing, with no wrists action. For the long puts, this tool gives so much confidence that you know you will be in the 2 feet radius 90 % of the time, so you go for it and try to hole these as well. That does not happen often, but is less rare than before. As an other reviewer has noted, at impact it delivers a very nice sound, I even found the perfect sweet spot where the noise is at its best (and have market it), and where the ball has the best roll. I bet that in the future many putters are going to look like this one, unless Scotty has well patented his idea. It is expensive yes, but much cheaper than the last hottest driver which is used less often per round anyway. During my first two-three rounds my usual playing partners were ironic, they are not any more on the parking lot after a round

After waiting for the prices to come down on this putter, I finally took the plunge. Have used the 2 Ball and the Grace MOI, so I was used to larger putters. Honestly wasn't expecting much from the Futura, but my initial impressions were completely wrong. Got the 34" model b/c it is slightly heavier to compensate for the shorter shaft. Have read that some think it is too light, but I think people just feel it will be heavy when they look at it. It actually weighs about the same as any other putter. It took a while to get used to, there is a lot going on down there. Once I used it a couple of times, however, I started really seeing the line I was putting on very clearly. The red Baby T grip looks sharp and also compliments the feel of the putter. The two things I like most about this putter are how easy it is to see the line you are putting on and how easy it is to get the ball rolling on that line. The aluminum face gives the putter a soft feel but Scotty has done something to give it a ping sound when you strike the ball, very cool. The headcover is too big, but it does a good job protecting the putter. I can honestly say this is the nicest putter I have used, and I have tried a lot of them! If you have $250 to spend and don't mind the busy appearance, give the Futura a try. Its funny how a putter that you first laughed at when you saw it can suddenly become pretty sharp looking after you see how well it performs. Scotty has a real winner here.

I have not been able to break 80 until yesterday. My score on the same golf course with the same clubs with the exception of the new putter went from 88 to a 78 which I have scored two days in a row. My putting has always help me back... until now. This new putter is the easiest I have ever tried to keep on line. It forces me to set up properly therefore making the stroke much easier to keep on line. This putter makes golf much more fun!
