If the question is: Why would you want to get rid of your Cleveland 588 wedges for these new, more expensive Cleveland wedges, the answer is Yes. The are simply softer and more accurate. And--this is saying something--actually better than the 588s. I know the higher price is annoying, but these are great wedges.

I played the 588 RTG for many years. On a whim, I tried the CG10 56 high bounce. This is a much softer feeling club. The high bounce makes is easy to hit off the fairway. I never could get the ball to hit and spin back until now. With this club, I have been able to hit the green and spin it back about 10 feet.

Get these wedges! i bought the cleveland 588 gunmetals last year and hit more than a few thin shots that sailed over the green. either that or i'd hit fat shots short. vijay can hit them but i certainly couldn't. broke down and spent a bundle on these and they're worth every cent. the soft metal makes a world of difference. repositioning the weight in the clubhead also makes a tremendous difference. not a single thin shot. ever. its odd because they look almost identical. spend the extra money and get these. you wont regret it. the pelz system works great with these. one drawback is they dont offer a 64 degree wedge in a cg10 but i found that loft to be too inconsistant to put in the bag. pelz works but the 64 wedge dosent. also the ping mb wedges are too light for pelz type shots.

I had been playing a Titleist High Performance wedge before this for years, but I was starting to think I needed something better. I had never owned a Cleveland Club, but i bought this one on a whim anyway. I am really happy with this club. It just gives me so muh confidence when I use it. I really know I will stuff it. In my opinion, wedges and your putter are your most important clubs, so It is definitely worth the money for these wedges. I just ordered the 56* for my bag and i expect the same results.

i got myself 50 std bounce, 54 std bounce, and 60 low bounce, all +0.5" they r the softest wedges around, the ball stops on a dime. great control. they even put a good spin on hard cover balls.my low bounce 60 is great to open the clubface and hit under the ball from any lie. i can even hit from concrete. the 50 is a great wedge for your short game. they produce a really distinct sound. these wedges because of their CMM material wear out soon but that doesn't effect the performance.

Model Reviewed: CG10 50 and 56 Degree Wedges

I'm a little partial to Cleveland equipment owning the Launcher 460 driver, 15 and 19 degree Titanium fairway woods and the TA7's, but I've never had a great deal of success with their 588 or 900 series wedges. Based on MY occasionally eratic short game, I have thus opted using the matching D, SW and LW's available with the TA7's. Out of curiousity, I tried the CG10 50 degree at my local Golftown store due to the fine reviews they've received and I immediately noticed a significant difference. They we're even softer feeling than my 900 series wedges (which are forged), thus this new and highly touted CMM material that Cleveland has developed delivers on it's promise for great feel with the softest material on the market. I took a leap of faith and purchased this wedge (2 dot standard bounce)and the 56 degree (3 dot high bounce) and I couldn't be happier!. Out on the course, their soft feel is absolutely addictive, the distance control is excellent and I seem to be getting about 10 to 15 yards more distance over my regular wedges (which is an unexpected surprize!). As usual, Cleveland never seems to rest on their successes and they've come out with another superb product which could also produce loyal converts to their new line CG1, CG2 or CG4 irons because they're made of the same CMM material. Despite really liking my TA7's, I'm seriously looking at the CG2's simply because of the great feel the CMM composition produces. Frankly, I couldn't be happier with these wedges and highly recommended them!!!

I have been playing my set of three wedges for about 8 months now and have really enjoyed these clubs. First, the carbon steel metal used in these wedges produces an incredibly soft feel. Clevelnad claims that their new metal is much difference from traditional steel, and I would agree. The faces of the wedges produce excellent feedback that helps aid in distance control. In addition, the grooves on these wedges also produce a high amount of spin, which really helps stop shots around the green. Those two factors, soft metal and excellent spin rate, have left me with shorter putts following approach shots from 115 yards and in. One thing to be aware about is the soft clubhead material seems to wear a little quicker than other wedges. Although not drastic, the marks on the sole of the club (especially from bunkers) appear a little more quickly. However, the wear is mostly cosmetic and does not affect play in any significant way. I recommend these wedges to players of all levels but especially to those who rely a great deal on the feel produced by clubs.

Model Reviewed: Cleveland CG10 56* (2 Dot) & 60* (3 Dot)

These are truly the best wedges on the market as well as the best Cleveland has ever produced in my opinion. I have been playing Cleveland wedges for quite some time now and the CG10's have the best all around feel and spin characteristics golfers of all abilities can benefit from. I have the 56* (2 Dot) and 60* (3 Dot) models. Both are great from the fairway, rough or bunker. The 56* is a standard sand wedge with plenty of versatility for any type of lie. The 60* lob wedge has a "High Bounce Angle" allowing me to use it from around the green and in the bunker when I need to get the ball up quick, so it lands on the green like a butterfly with sore feet. Highly recommended in my opinion.

If you're looking for a promising wedge, then this is the right club for you. With the CG10, you get the loft and distance that you need on the course. It comes at a price, but is definitely worth it. Hits well out of the rough, sand, you name it. I reccommend the 3 dot CG10 because it's like nothing else and gives you a high bounce. This club looks nice and plays nice for any kind of Golfer.

I really like these wedges. I had been playing 588 RTG wedges and I can hit these CG10s about 10-15 yards farther. Also, these wedges have the best feel of any clubs that I have ever hit.
