I first gave this club a good review. However, after a summer of playing it, I can now see the shortfalls that led to its'' demise. Sharp leading edge tends to dig to deep on too many shots. This club spins the ball so much(most I have ever seen) it can be a problem with distance control. In addition, it eats balls alive! I found it great for short chips where you need to stop the ball on a dime, but it really is not that versatile otherwise. If you are looking for one, contact me, I have two in my closet now gathering dust!!

Great Wedges. I use both wedges for chip shots around the green. Carbon steel has gives great feedback from the clubhead. I use the 53 for 80-90 yard shots from the fairway. Nice high trajectory lands soft. Sharp leading edge will smile balls, but shots like that are my fault!

This is a great wedge around the green. It has recently shaved about 2 or 3 strokes a round off my score. It sets up very nicely and produces good spin (but not too much). Only problem I had with it was when I was chipping, the ball would check up slightly. Once I got used to it, I could be very aggressive. I love it. Looking for a 51 degree or 53 degree. Anyone know where I can get one?

Pros:good spin/bite around the greens, design provides a variety of shots.

Cons:very light, poor balance, tends to hit the ball thin and long from the fairway.

For now, I only play one wedge (other than PW) and need an all-around wedge, and the 55* is awesome. Works particularly well for full-swing fairway shots, pitching and chipping, and flop shots around the green. While it's serviceable in bunkers, I find the Cleveland 56* to be superior in sand and tall grass. But as more of a "true" sand wedge, the Cleveland was useless for me on tight lies, unless I want to skull balls through to the other side of the green. With the Trusty Rusty, I'll work with it in the sand...and continue to drop fairway shots within feet of the pin. It's too bad these wedges aren't made anymore.

With 55 degrees this Cobra is ultimate "all-in-one" wedge. With agressive swing you can hit it far and backspin is not just a dream, but 55 degrees and the shape of the clubhead makes it not so useful in bunkers.

Nice feel.
But the grooves wears out very fast.
Mine does not rust that well. the Grooves are too thin.
Nice to chip, but not nice in bunker.

a quality club, great for punch shots and little pitch and runs around the green. has already save me many shots in the short time it has been in my bag. Easy to spin only slight problems is it rips the skin off soft balls

Overall good wedge, but it takes getting used to. The thin leading edge makes it wonderful from the tight fairway lies and the rough, but useless out of the sand. This is a great club for in close work, but loses it's efficacy (for me) outside about 30-40 yards. The harder you hit it, the higher it goes and distance control is tough on longer shots. Around the greens though, it's wonderful. Also great for flop shots. Spin is wonderful as well, I just can't seem to get used to it w/ a full swing - can't seem to get any distance control. I tend to sky it short form farther out than 30-40 yards.
