i tried alot of wedges and i was stuck between the nike forged and the vokey oil can i went with the oil can because of the reputation and the look, i love this club once you get the full distance dialed in you can take a little or alot off and get great results, distance control is good if you know how and same goes for the trajectory, its great for flops and outta the sand around the greens i dont know because i rareley am chipping with a lob wedge i usually use sand or gap but this is an all around good wedge its look and feel are uncanny this isnt the wedge that will turn you scratch or anything but its a good scoring wedge and i feel like i can get the ball close from 80 yards its a real confidence booster i would recommend this wedge to anyone who wants an all around great wedge

So, I'm like the last two reviewers. I play Titleist 690CBs with 52 gap wedge and wanted to upgrade my higher lofted wedges. I previously had an old Titleist Sand Wedge and PItching Wedge that I had had for years and had added extra loft to by putting them in a vice and giving a little smack with a mallet. Anyway, asked around and everyone liked the Vokeys so bought a couple without the chance to try them out first (bought them in the centre of New York). First time on the range, I was gutted. Having skimmed the first 4 or five over the green or scooped right under them. Well went from bad to worse and shot an 82 that day (probably also hindered by buying a new putter at the same time). Have continued using the Vokeys and have practiced a little with them. Now cannot be without them. They are very easy to control distance and you can suck the ball back with them. Only problem has been that they've shredded a couple of balls. But is that really a problem as they have been so reactive.

These wedges are without doubt the best that I have used. Bought the two to compliment the 690CB Irons and couldn't be more pleased. Once you have worked out how far you hit these clubs you can confidently fire the ball past the pin with them knowing that you will get the spin to bring the ball back towards the hole. Loads of feel from the clubface and although the finish will wear over time giving way to rust spots this gives even more confidence knowing that more spin will be generated. Also superb for flop shots or chips around the green.

WOW!!! This is by far the most useful club in my bag. I use it on almost every hole and it is so easy to use. I have the 60* and can use it from 100yards to 10yards and almost every time i get within 5 feet of the pin. this club has greatly lowered my score and i am really pleased with my purchase. I would recommend this club to anyone who wants to 1putt instead of 2putt. You can get so much control and backspin come naturally. I could get the ball to stop dead on the green the first time i used it. A winner without a doubt and i thank Titleist for making such a great club.

Model Reviewed: Titleist Vokey Oil Can 254-08 Wedge

As a player with a shallow swing plane, I like the low bounce of the 254-08 both out of the sand and rough and off the fairway. The Vokey puts the ball where you want it, and shots land softly and sit down right away. The weight of the club allows you to get through the ball, even from both fluffy or wet sand and tangled rough. I liked the Cleveland wedge I used for a short while, but the Vokey has a heftier feel, which I like more. The Oil Can finish looks great, but the finish comes off the sole of the club pretty fast. Still it's a wedge series I highly recommend.

Model Reviewed: Ttileist Vokey Oil Can wedges

This is an update to my last post regarding the Vokey Oil Can wedges. HAVE YOUR LOFT CHECKED!!!! I went in to have the loft checked on a set of Titleist Forged 690 MB's. The guy who did the checking/bending is an ex-Titleist factory guy, and said that it was the rule more than the exception that the loft and/or lie on their clubs was more often than not off. If you read my last review on these wedges, you will note that I stated that I could only hit the 56 degree wedge 80 to 85 yards...I am used to hitting sand wedges right around 100 yards, and I should be hitting the 52 1155 yards or close to it. I decided to have the lofts checked on the wedges, and guess what? The 52 was actually 54, the 56 was 58 and the 60 was 62. All were two degrees weak! The lie was spot on to the specs. I had them bent 1 degree strong (I had my irons bent that way, so the gap remained consistent at 4 degrees), and now they are performing better than any wedge I've ever used. Still extremely happy with the product, but I cannot stress enough to have your lofts checked!! SCd

I bought the 60.14 to replace my Cleveland BRZ 588 and don’t regret it a bit. The Vokey has much more feel. I liked the 60 so much I ran out and bought the 56 and the 52. These clubs stop on a dime and feel great.
