Ping Hoofer 2 Bags

Ping Hoofer 2 Bags

DESCRIPTION

From Ping: "Redesigned for 2001, the Hoofer2 is the ultimate in carry bags. Its name comes from the "hoof" shaped design of the bag bottom -- a design that gives this bag characteristics unlike any other. The Hoofer makes club removal and insertion easier with a FULL body-length divider and by providing more separation for grips at the bottom of the bag. The bag has a shape which rests comfortably against the golfer's body while being carried. At the top of the bag, an elongated four-way club divider with soft cover provides greater club separation, making locating, removing and replacing clubs easier. The soft cover is also removable for washing since dust and dirt can scratch graphite shafts." Additional new features for the Hoofer2 include, a "Trunk handle" on the base of the bag, to aid in removing your clubs from the trunk of your car, and a water bottle holder.

I''ve had my hoofer2 bag for about 2 months now. I never really liked the original hoofer bags, but after using this bag as a carry bag and cart bag I really dont think you could find a better name brand bag for the money. I only paid $149 for mine, and since purchasing it, have seen it for $129 at a local golf course. Its a great looking bag and of very good quality. Very comfortable to carry.

Have had a regular Ping Hoofer but recently got the Hoofer 2. And I must say that this is an even better bag than the original Hoofer. The water pocket and trunk handle are nice additions. The bag is very well made and carries well even with using just one strap. This is a great bag you will not be disappointed.

I had just bought this bag today. I got the dark grey/flax whatever the hell it's called. It looks really cool. I love the convenience of the pockets, and the water bottle holder is a good addition. The stand seems to be very stable too. One gripe I have is that there are only 4 dividers. My old bag had 6, which was much easier. It's kinda hard fer me to fit in 3 woods and a putter on the top divider. Another problem though is that I'm not used to the dual straps yet. I'm used to the old 'backpack' straps from my Ergonomix bag. The straps are relatively easy to adjust, however, but they kinda feel uncomfortable. I guess I'm too stupid. Cool bag though. Excellent quality.

Purchased the Hoofer 2 about 6 wks ago. Great overall bag with lots of storage. Bottle holder [not insulated] is the only flaw. Feels light when positioned correctly.

This is an awesome bag and a significant upgrade from the original Hoofer.

There are small details which made this a "must have" bag for me. I love the velvet lined valuables pouch (no chance of watch or wallet falling out on the course since this pocket is always in the upright position; unfortunately it also keeps my wedding band intact as well :))

Other nice features include the roomy side pockets; great for holding cans of beers. I routinely fit a 6 pack in the main side compartment as well as a dozen Titleists.

It also fits snugly inside my Club Glove burstproof travel bag which has made the trip to Kauai, Myrtle Beach, and Boca Grande FLA this year.

The last feature of the Hoofer 2 that I absolutely adore is the full-length club dividers. There's absolutely no chance of your clubs getting tangled. This feature alone cinched the purchase for me.

Go with the Hoofer 2 and you won't be disappointed. Looks smart on the cart (it won't seem anemic when riding like other Ping bags such as the L-8+) and balances well for walking too.

The price point is a little high, but you get what you pay for.

As a high school golfer who MUST walk and carry his bag, I understand the value of a great stand bag, and this is it. Its extremely light, lighter than my other two bags, and it feels the most comfortable around my shoulders. The Hoof helps with placing and pulling the clubs. The rainhood doesn't wrap around the entire top though. Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet...

Pricey, but it IS the best stand bag out there...

Great carry bag. Much more comfortable than the Izzo Delight. Especially when using only one strap for short distances. Lots of pockets including valuables pocket and water bottle pocket.

Umbrella holder isn't great. But, much better than on the Izzo.

Mine is the Blue and Green color with black trim. Sharp looking!

I upgraded from my original Hoofer, which I had for 3 years. The new Hoofer 2 is great. I really like the dividers that go all the way down the bag. Very comfortable and light.
