Great Bag. The idea of carrying a bag for a full round was daunting but after a few weeks I was fine. Not until old age weary''s me shall I return to buggies! The Sun Mountain was the best of the bags on offer (weight, pockets, durability, cost). After 12 months still in good condition. The only issue I have is where to put the putter (I carry all 14 clubs) and find it gets lost with the wedges or damages the woods!?

I bought my bag over 4 years ago and it still looks brand new. I have been extremelly happy with it. The older model that I have was heavier then the new models and it only came with a single strap (so i bought an izzo double strap) but it was worth every penny.

Customer Service

I broke one of the legs on the stand, and Sun Mountain was wonderful. Replaced both legs without any hassels at all. And my bag was 2.5 years old at the time!!!

This is a great middle-ground bag. Manageable enough weight to carry and big enough to carry stuff other than clubs and balls. It's not the lightest bag I've used, but there is always a compromise between weight and storage space. The pocket sizes and number of pockets are great. The mouth on the bag is large and allows for easy insertion and removal of clubs. Best and most durable bag I've ever owned.

Customer Service

golfbagexchange.com was a great place to deal with. order confirmation the same afternoon and I had the bag in 3 days with the lowest cost shipping option.

I've only recently purchased this bag so a dynamic review will be forthcoming this golf season. I wanted to relay to everyone the absolutely fantastic deal that I got on it at Mercata.com, only $30.00!

I already own a Sun Mountain Ascent X and love it. I gravitated toward the Summit, not only for the incredible price, but by the comments here that it doubles nicely as a cart bag. Comparing the two, I can certainly see this being the case. The Summit's appreciable girth will lend itself to a more secure seat on the back of the golf cart.

What I can offer is... it is supremely balanced with a nice, tight stand mechanism. It has an ample amount of pockets, plenty of room for 14 clubs, and some nice cushioning around the collar to protect graphite shafts. It's very light weight, maybe a hair heavier than the Ascent X but not enough to notice with a full load.

I can already tell that due to it's diversity, it will most surely be my most frequently used bag of the coming season. I know, I know, who needs two golf bags... right? But who needs ten putters? So, before you rush to judgement, take a glance over toward your rather large collection of flatsticks and perhaps temper your disagreement! :-)

Happy Golfing!

This is not a good carry bag! Not only is it heavy, but the stand mechanism rapidly fails (either the legs won't come out all the way or they won't retract). It is made out of durable fabric, though.
I put an izzo strap on it, but it is still on the heavy side of stand bags, and with the stand mechanism as poor as it is, it made little difference.
Ping makes the best stand bag out there.

Very good bag, light weight, well constructed. Especially like the removable valuables pocket. Clubs easy to put in and out. Highly recommend this bag.

Model Reviewed: Summit X Stand Bag

This is a great bag, it's lightweight and very durable. I prefer to walk instead of ride and these perform really well. The stand design is top-notch compared to other bags. I bought this bag for $149 and it's definitely worth every penny. I've had it for 3 years now and I play 40 rounds a year, the bag looks as good as new. Even though it's a stand bag the design makes it easy to put on a pull cart or motorized cart.

Customer Service

Not only is the bag great but the customer service department is just as great. Called them to ask about replacement for rubber caps on stand and they mailed a pair out to me within a week. Now that's customer service at it's best, they really care about customer satisfaction.
