These are excellent balls that deliver what they promise. I have a tendency to hit the ball too high off the tee, and the B330 has definitely lowered my trajectory as advertised, resulting in a longer overall distance (carry +roll). Suprisingly, I prefer the firmer feel of the B330 to the B330-S, both off of the driver as well as the irons. I also haven't had any difficulty holding greens. I'm not normally one to pay $40/dozen for balls because I usually don't see enough difference for the money, but the benefits I am seeing with this ball is worth the premium.

In short: too hard for the slower swinger. These balls are durable, but they play rock hard. The B330S version is much more appealing and I really enjoyed that ball. This ball is hard as a rock, feels stiff on chips and off the putter, and is hard to compress off the tee and in the fairway. I carry a 7 iron about 165 yards and drive about 295-300 average (in Arizona). I played 8 rounds with these balls and then 1/2 way through the 9th round, switched to a Pro V1x and immediately felt the difference. Night and day. Pro V1x compressed better, spun better and out played the B330 easily.
I would pick the B330S over this ball, since it spins better and compresses a little easier. I hear the E6 ball (a $20 job) is preferred by many "better" players even though it's a "cheap-o" ball. If you have a driver swingspeed over 110, i'd say give this ball a try. A few of my harder swings compressed the ball with the driver and sent it soaring. It's a great distance ball which is why Appleby hits his 400+ a couple of times. Not for the saturday afternoon golfer, unfortunately. I recommend the Nike One Platinums and Blacks or the Pro V1 "gold standard" balls. I'm sick of paying $50 a dozen, though.

Contrary to some of the negative reviews, I've found this to be an excellent ball. It has a very soft feel, has a nice spring off the club face, good loft, is well-suited for play around the green and on approach shots, and putts well. Anyone who says that this is a hard ball hasn't tried some of the cheaper "distance" balls out there! My only complaint is that (and once again, I disagree with some of the reviews) the cover on the B330-S tends to scuff easily. Other than that, by and large, I've switched to this ball. In terms of feel and distance, it's closest to the Strata Tour Straight, which I still play. It's also softer, and has more distance, than the Laddie, which I also occasionally play. (I bought several boxes of the Stratas and Laddies before they were discontinued). But even with the $40 price tag, the B330-S is a great all-round ball in terms distance, control, loft, and putting. A very competitive product with other tour-quality balls currently on the market.

The B330 is only for the best ball strikers. The compression is about 106, which requires a high swing speed (100 mph+) to compress and get it to jump off the face. Definately not for a round in low temperatures. Something I'm experimenting with now is the B330-S. I think it is about a 96 compression, and during my last round, I used it on my last 5 holes. What I saw was interesting: the ball went stright to left for me. I am right handed and have out to in swing which puts a "power-fade" on my shots. I'm not sure if the ball was helping me go straight, or if I got warmed up and was swinging better, but I'll be trying it again during my next round.

Both Bridgestone balls play as well as any PRO VI ball I've played. They compare to any ball in length and several times I've hit it farther than PRO V1's and Callaways. The ball will last a full round as long as you don't loose it in the water or out of bounds.

Overall for the price and feel, this ball is a great ball.

I have played them all as well. I started out this year with the B330 and it was long no doubt. Not quite as much spin as I would like and not durable. Then I played the HX Tour. The new improved version is way more durable and is a good ball. I just don't seem to score as well with it. I changed to the B330S about 2 weeks ago. It is not long off the tee box but is consistent and has the perfect amount of check for me especially around the green. I seem to shoot my best rounds with these Bridgestone balls. I think they just suit my game. I've noticed the bad reviews on these balls are mainly high handicappers. The B330S is not going to be good for high handicappers.

I do not understand the previous posts. This ball is amazing...it is long, soft, and stops on a dime. I have played with ProV's, HXTours, and Nike Ones and this ball blows them all away!
For those that are complaining about spin, obviously you do not know how to trap the ball.
They do feel a little hard off of the putter, but that is something that can easily be adjusted to.
(On a side note, these are the easiest balls I have ever used to hit a knock down iron or wedge)

I'm a 3 handicap and this is the best ball I've hit so far! I've been playing this for about a year now. I've been looking for a ball, tried all the titliest balls and the premium callaway balls, and the Bridgestone is by far the best ball. Its alot longer then the titliest but has very similar feel around the greens. I was able to spin a few wedges back 10-15 or so when its caught well... the only draw back is it scuffs easily when I hot longer wedge shots with my vokey spin milled wedge.
