Callaway HX Hot Bite Balls

Callaway HX Hot Bite Balls

DESCRIPTION

Callaways nex 3-piece golf ball with distance and control. The HX Hot Bite Golf Ball features a softer, proprietary cover that delivers exceptional feel and control on top of the high speed core.
The premium cover feels extremely soft and allows the ball to stop quickly on the green for exceptional short-game control.

Soft, High-Resiliency Core Enhances feel and helps maximize ball speed, resulting in long distance for a wide range of swing speeds. The Ionomer Boundary Layer works with the core to increase ball speed while maintaining soft feel.

HEX Aerodynamics Replaces conventional dimples and virtually eliminates the seam, enhancing shot-to-shot consistency. HEX Aerodynamics also reduces drag for long, efficient ball flight with amazing stability

played this ball for the first time, it has good distance, and lots of spin on greens. Great 3 piece ball. If you score bad it is not the ball it's the player.

I love Callaway products, but this ball comes up short with the big stick. It does well around the greens, but it checks more like a Pro V1x, Callaway IX, or Taylormade Red rather then the Pro V1, TM Black, or Callaway I.
Although the ball is 29 bucks a dozen it's not worth the price, because it doesn't do anything outstanding. Just spend 10 more bucks and get a tour ball with higher spin if that's your goal. It will check harder and go further.

I'm a senior golfer. Hit a drive 220 yards in the air. This ball is too soft. One good wedge shot shreds the cover. Callaway missed on this one.

I've shot my two lowest scores with this ball. Good distance and an excellent green grabber. I love putting with this ball b/c it holds the line well. As a mid handicapper, the firm feel of the Hot Bite is ideal. The cover does shred easily which is the only negative aspect. I prefer the ProV1x but for mid range balls, the Hot Bite is the best in the market.

Callaway has been slow as of late.

very good ball, for the price it is very good (i picked a box up at wal-mart for $23 dollars or so). one of the things i was worried about was durability, many reviews have said they scuffed very easily. the first round i played with these balls was a practice round with my high school golf team at a par 3 course. i played the whole round with one ball and had no scuffs what so ever.(i even hit the sorry excuse for a cart path they have there). the feel is very good too, they are very soft and spin very well. ill be using these more often now

The HX Hot Bite is a great ball for holding the greens. I have not found them the scuff as much as some other players. I may scuff two out of a dozen not bad in my opinion. The only major concern is that I have to be very careful
with my club face alignment. Any degree of an open club face will produce a slice. However I bought the ball in order to hold the green and it does that and also putts well. I will most likely finish the season with this ball in my bag. In conclusion, a good ball that actually does as it is advertised.

I bought a sleeve of these before my rounds yesterday because the HX Tours I bought on E-Bay haven't arrived yet and I didn't want to spend $13 on a sleeve.
The HX Hot Bite is one heck of a good Golf ball. I got atleast as much distance off the tee as I do with the ProV1's and the other premium balls, and the surprise was how well the HX Hot Bite spins and checks on the greens. I was actually spinning the ball back 3-4 yards on approaches. The HX Hot Bite feels like it attaches to the clubface and then just zooms off it. Excellent feel of every club, including the putter. Actually felt 'buttery' off my Odyssey White Hot #2. The cover also seems to be much more scuff resistant than the 'Premium' balls, which is a plus for us budget Golfers.
A great ball for the $8 I spent at the pro shop for 3 of them. These may actually find their way into my bag after my HX Tours are done!
