Callaway HX Red Balls

Callaway HX Red Balls

DESCRIPTION

Unlike any other ball on the market, the solid core, three-piece HX features a patented tubular lattice network that results in 100 percent surface area coverage. The design improves low-speed lift and reduced high-speed drag to give you a more penetrating trajectory, greater carry, more roll distance and unsurpassed flight stability.

I have tried lots of golf balls out but the hx red is great. The hx red gets lots of spin with long distance off the tee i hit my longest drive with it last week 316 and im 15. Its by far the best ball i have ever played.

I discovered these balls by pure accident...I usually play the HX Bite and purchased a big assorted bag of used callaways for my old man as he can't tell the difference anyways. I found a solid sleeve of HX Red's in there and thought I'd try them out on a course I never played (didn't want to lose the new HX Bites) - I drove the ball a mile, hit most of the greens and didn't three putt a single hole...using the same HX Red the entire round. It flies super straight and has nice grip around the greens. Feels great off the putter as well. Now that I know these aren't being made anymore - I'm going to save them for the big round. A great overall ball - if you have one and hit it into the bushes, it's worth a second look.

This was my favorite ball, but now they quit making them. Same thing happened with the Revolution Tour. Anyway, this ball is great off the driver, and it is also pretty good off wedges. A great ball if you can still find any.

I have played the Callaway HX Tour and the Titleist Pro V1's for quite a while. I got a sleve of the HX Blue at a company outting and liked the feel around the green, but thought it felt "mushy" off the tee. A friend of mine suggested I try the Red. I did and I am sold. I actually think this ball "bites" on the green better than the HX Tour and seems to "jump" off the driver. Like anything, its a preference thing, for me, this ball meets my game requirements and is now my ball of choice.

Very nice overall golf ball. The Reds jump off the driver and carry very well. They also spin well enough off of a full swing short iron to back up a little bit on a green. They don't spin quite as well as the HX Blue, but then again, they aren't supposed to. The only thing that I have a gripe with is that they are a little "clicky" off the club for my liking...but hey, some people like that. Overall, I'm going to keep playing Callaway's for a while. They are a high quality golf ball. I'm going to try the HX Tour next...should be a slight upgrade on the Red.

I love this ball ,it looks great with its hx dimples. I won a tournament with this ball. I drove the ball a mile that day and it was the first time using a hx. it feels soft around the greens but is hard off the driver. It's great.

I would say that this is my favorite ball, but it's just a bit lacking to the HX Tour distance-wise. Despite that, it's cheaper price, similar feel, and otherwise fantastic performance make this a ball I'd rather put into play without fear of losing an overly expensive ball. The HX/HEX aerodynamics may simply be hyped (if it was that great I don't think the USGA would want to approve it), but it certainly has a very true, boring ball flight in the wind. On a more cosmetic and aesthetic level, the hexagons look very sleek and make a visually appealing ball on the greens and off the tee. I'm also much more comfortable now using the Callaway chevron to line up putts (with the apex pointing toward the target), be it with the HX Tour or HX Red. Callaway has put out some fantastic golf balls this year that everyone should definitely try. If PGA Tour players weren't wrapped up in equipment contracts, I think we'd see a real threat to Titleist's crown as the #1 ball.

I'm in mid 30's and have played golf since college. I play little better than a bogey game. Callaway HX balls are my favorite. It's long off the tee and hits solid w/ irons. These balls bite and hold any greens. It's bit more money than quality 2 piece balls but price has come down. I flirted w/ HX 2 piece balls but didn't like it at all. It felt dead and rock hard. Titlest nxt is a great ball as well. As long as HX but your bump and run game has to be on.

Golf ball junkie like many here and very scepitcal that the HX was just hyped.Anyway was given a sleeve and not as long as 2 pice distance ball plenty long enough and certainly longer than the 3 piece solids from the leading brands.Good flight tractory which is low this is a good ball for winter windy UK conditions.Very predicable and is now being closed out for the Black.I have lost many a ball to a so called improved one that I'am buying up as many of these,in fact exchanged some Maxfli M3 for HX blue for summer use 2 HX for 1 M3
