I cannot think of anything great about this ball. Distance is only average, as is feel and spin. Between a Precept MC Lady and the Patriot, I found the Patriot about 1/2 club shorter. The Lady had just as much feel around the green as the Patriot did. I was pretty disappointed. Best off sticking to the Rev if you like a higher spinning ball.

i am not sure why people seem to like this ball. it's hard, and has little feel. you get decent distance, but i can think of a lot of other balls that you can pruchase that will give you similar distance, better feel and cost much less. this ball is over priced for what it is, and the performance is no where near where it should be for the price of the ball. the only ball i hate more than this ball is the maxfli MD.

well I was at my local course trying out a sleeve of the new PROvi balls, then on the second fairway some moron hit my ball, needless to say I was outraged about him hitting my $4 ball, anyway he offered a sleeve of his Patriots I refused and just took one. Well, him hitting my ball was a blessing in disguise. i played with the patriot for the remaining sixteen holes and was shocked at how far this golf ball travels. Now I am an experienced golfer that knows what I am talking about, I am not one of the reviewers who shoots in the hundreds and trashes balls when they don't magically make strokes disapper. I know my stuff and this ball is too be commended for the exploseive distance of the tee and of irons. For example, i always use Titleist professionals and on one particular long par four, it is always driver, six iron, well with this ball it was driver, easy nine( which I sailed over the green). I thought that I had lost my ball because in all my rounds at this course I have never hit a nine iron for my approach. this ball held it's flight path very well also. I usually used to hit a nine iron 140- 150, with this ball I can get a nine iron going up to 160 if I really need it. only draw back with this ball is it doesn't check up like a balata. There are sacrifices to be made when you play a distance ball, and spin is usually it. Many experienced players may avoid this ball because it doesn't spin back. I couldn't spin it back in 18 holes and spinning it back is simple with a titleist. However it didn't hit the green like a pinnacle, it would land and roll maybe 5-6 ft on a sw through 7, you have to play a lot more roll with longer irons. Anyway the reason for this reivew is that I was really impressed with the yardage increase. this is a very decent ball for players seeking a ball with distance but don't want to play rocks. Please give this ball a try and see if you are impressed. In my years of a golfer I have never been so impressed, the last time was the new realease of the nike balls, another note, if you aren't experienced at gofing yet please keep your evalutations to yourselves. you can't realisticlally evaluate a product when you aren't making consistent contact and knowing what to expect from every swing. i read so many reviews here that talk about golfers pissed about the performance of products when i know they don't know what a good shot is, anyway my review can be trusted, overall, great distance of driver and all irons, spin could use some help, but doesn't spin anyless then a top flite XL2000, or Titleist DT spin, two of the more common balls average players use nowadays, try a sleeve, if you have any game you won't be disappointed

So I've played two rounds with these balls after playing HP2 Distance all of last year. The Patriot is a great ball. For once the marketing hype is correct. Minimum driver spin, soft feel, and spins OK around the greens (for a distance ball). Give 'em a try! I've switched (at least for this year).

Great distance with less spin than most spin balls, but has the feel of a soft spin ball.

my favourite ball, not quite sure why though. the distance you get with these are quite addicitive, especially when you play them after trying top premium balls.
unfortunately they don't spin quite enough to be used on courses with hard greens.

The little known and somewhat underpublicized Patriot offers a great combination of distance and spin. Just a slight notch below the premim balls, but a very good value all things considered.

I just recently tried this ball for the first time with great results. The distance is comparable to the Titleist Tour Distance but the Maxfli Tour Patriot spins much better. This ball is longer than the Revolution and spins nearly as much but does not feel as soft as the Revolution. The ball is very straight and fairly long off the tee but the real adavantage with this ball is how well it holds the greens on iron approach shots . I think the cost at around $30 a dozen is very reasonable considering the performance of the ball. I have a four handicap and have switched permanently to this ball and hope that Maxfli continues to produce this ball in future years.

Loved the distance on this ball, and control around the green was decent. I would say this is a great ball for high-handicappers like myself. I also have found the durability of this ball to be excellent.

An excellent ball for the mid handicapper. Has a hard core, which is what I like, that gives great distance. This hard core also keeps the ball straighter off the tee by preventing side-spin (mid-air correction-- very impressive). Because it is also a wound ball, it gives exceptional spin. I barely have to do any work to make it check. The first ball that actually does what the manufacturers have been trying to do for many years-- distance of a 2 piece with the spin of a 3 piece! This ball will be in my bag for a while to come. NOTE: Since the core is so hard, you need at least a 90-95 mph swing to reep the benifits of this ball.
