This is a real nice ball. It has good distance, with a good feel around the green. It is a good all around ball. The patriot is however a bit pricey.

Being a low handicapper, I was a bit disappointed with this ball. It was a bit to hard for my taste. But has a lot of distance for those mid to high handicappers.

I didn't expect a firm wound 'distance' ball to make for such great iron play. The Tour Patriot consistently held greens with a well-struck 3 iron, consistently checked up on short bunker shots, and stopped dead in its pitch mark from mid-iron approaches to 3/4 wedges. Not particularly long off the tee; this feeling is confirmed by Maxfli's own promotional material which states the Patriot goes the same distance as the Revolution and XS Tour. (See URLs www.maxfli.com/products/XST_Data.htm, www.maxfli.com/products/Patr_Data.htm and www.maxfli.com/products/Rev_Data.htm.) Not as soft greenside as the Revolution, but it costs less and goes a little straighter off the tee.

After playing and loving the Revolutions, decided to give the Patriots a try. Seem to be pretty long, but not a lot of spin. Also, felt fairly hard, especially after playing the Revolutions. Seems like the kind of ball that should be priced in the high teens or low-$20s instead of close to $30.

I played these last summer. Soft they are, and they spin ok but, despite what you see Nicklaus saying on tv, they are very short. Plan on giving up 10 yards on your drives. These feel like the old wound Titleists of the 60s. Unfortunatly they play like them too. Pricey too. If you like Maxfli play the Revolution

I like this ball. It has a soft feel and good durability. For whatever reason it seems to minimize spin and stay on the golf course. It takes a bad swing to produce a bad result. It's comparable to the Titleist HP2 Tour in feel, distance and performance. I also like the fact that a sleeve at my local muni cost less than $10.

This is a great ball. It seems to have maximum distance proformance while mantaining a soft feel. I would compare it to Titlest's HPTour and HPDistance. I started playing with this ball mid-summer and have not switched since.Even though i have a new case of Titleist just sitting there. If your a mid to low handicapper that still occasionally sprays one, try this ball.I think you will be pleasently surprised.
