Maxfli Revolution Solid Balls

Maxfli Revolution Solid Balls

DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the Maxfli Revolution Solid golf ball. Extending the success of the original Revolution, the new Revolution Solid ball combines the added distance of solid balls with exceptional feel. The Revolution Solid features a micro-bond layer between its oversized, solid center and soft, urethane outer cover. As a result, the Revolution Solid offers players a premium combination of distance and control. The new Revolution Solid was developed to answer demand for the increased distance a solid ball provides. While giving players the added distance, the Revolution Solid is also designed to give the better golfer sufficient spin for control

Very good ball, some minor scuffing, very good spin, good distance, wish it was a bit firmer, I'm used to playing 100 compression, though much more playable in warm weather than the strata or xs tour

I didn't like these very well---they seemed hard and were difficult to spin. I'd rather play the old Revolutions. But I think I should mention that the guy I played with shot his best round to date (78) with them. He's framing his ball.

I played this ball for three rounds and the ball performance was excellent. The ball would stop within 5-10 feet of the divot on the green. The ball was also long off the tee. There were no problems with scuffing and the ball felt great coming off the face of the putter. Great ball and everyone should give it a try. I found this ball performed as well if not better than the ProV1.

With all the hype going on with the V1's and the Nike TA's you would think that the new Revolution Solids would have the same impact if not greater because the original Revolutions (3-piece) are such great balls. Not to be. The new Solids are slightly longer but you lose a lot of feel and spin around the greens which may not be as important to some players if you just want distance. Don't expect the new Solids to check up and stay, instead expect anything in the middle of the green may roll off to the back of the green. Also, the Revo Solids makes a harsh noise when coming off the club face, almost like a click noise, a noise you hear when you are at the driving range. I'll go back to the original wound Revo 90's or the V1's any day. Good luck.

I have played Maxfli balls (HTs, RMs, Revolutions) for quite a few years now and was excited to try the Revolution Solid. Unfortunately, this ball did not perform to my expectations. It feels pretty good coming off of the clubface, but I have two major complaints: 1) durability and 2) spin.

Durability - This ball has an incredibly soft (read 'weak') cover. It reminds me of a pure balata cover the way it scuffs so easily. I took out a new sleeve for a round and all 3 balls were scuffed after I chipped warming up.

Spin - This ball spins way too much for me off of the short irons. I was continually backing shots off of the green with 8 iron and down. I'm sure the soft cover contributes to this as well. Some people may like the way it bites but I hate chipping when I should be putting from pin high.

Bottom line - A fairly good ball that won't last very long and pales in comparison to its primary competitor, the Titleist Pro V1. As for being cheaper than the Titleist, you simply get what you pay for in this instance.

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING THE ORIFINAL MAXFLI REVOLUTION 100 FOR 1 1/2 YEARS NOW AND I LOVE THIS BALL. I TRIED THE NEW SOLID AND FOUND THEM TO BE JUST AS LONG OR EVEN LONGER WITH THE DRIVER. MAN WHENEVER I WOULD HOT THIS BALL WITH AND IRON FROM 150 AND IN THE BALL WQOULD JUST STOP WITHIN A FOOT OF THE DIVIT. IT WAS GREAT. IT PUTTED VERY WELL TOO. THE ONLY THING IS I CRACKED 2 BALLS IN THE ROUND. IM NOT A POWER HITTER SO I DONT KNOW WHY? THE ORIGINAL I HAVE ONLY CRACKED 1 TIME. MAYBE THE COVER ISNT AS SOFT AS THE ORIGIANL. BUT OVERALL IT IS A REALY GOOD BALL. CANT DECIDE ON WHICH BALL TO STICK WITH.
THE CALLAWAY BLUE RULE 35 IS ALSO A FANTASTIC BALL AS WELL AS THE STRATA TOUT ULTIMATE.

This ball seems very good--pretty long and performs well around the green. I am not very hard on balls, but these have scuffed fast and I only got a couple of holes out of each. I prefer the Titleist V1 and Nike Tour Accuracy and the wound Revolution.

I LOVED THE ORGINAL REVOLUTION, SO I TRIED THIS SOLID, I FOUND THAT IT FELT LIKE A BRICK WHEN PUTTING. ITS HARD FOR ME TO SAY IF IT GOES LONGER OR SHORTER WITH THE DRIVER THAN THE ORGINAL REV. BUT AFTER HITTING A PUNCHED PITCHING WEDGE TO THE FIRST HOLE I PLAYED WITH THIS BALL I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THAT THE COVER HAD SCUFFED, EVEN THOUGH THE BALL DIDNT SPIN AS MUCH AS USUAL. IM NNOT ONE OF THESE GUYS WHO SHOUTS ABOUT SPINNING A BALL BACK 10 YARDS WITH SHORT IRONS, BUT I CAN USUALLY GET THE BALL TO STOP AND MAYBE A LITTLE BACKSPIN IF THE CONTACT IS GOOD. BUT THIS BALL HAD VERY LITTLE SPIN. DISSAPOINTING
