I have to say, I had never hit these before, I took a vacation to Chicago. Bought some of these at a course I played there, I haven't put them down since. These are much better than any other ball I have tried. I have tried every ball that you can think of. They have a nice soft feel to them and play wonderful. Spin is okay and they are long. These are the best balls for your money and I would definitely say try them because I know that you will like them. I give them a 9/10.

After 2 yrs of playing & trying a bunch of balls.... this is the 1! I like the wilson smartcores very much but just made the switch to the exception. It's long & straight. Very soft, nice feel on the greens & off the tee. Price is right too. Some 1 said it's a low spin ball. It doesn't backspin on the green when chipping but doesnt slice either. As good or better than anything out there!

this ball is super. its as if there is a little person in there working it like a airplane. "making it go where i want it to go" and it is at a very low price. forget the titlest "#1 ball in golf " ya right its more like #1 ball in bragging. Any way if you want a very very very GREAT ball(notice i did not type good i typed GREAT) get the pinnicle exeptions.

My love of this ball began when i found one on the course. Since then, there have been three main things that have kept me coming back to this ball. First, is the surpprising distance from a softer ball. Easily matching my older hx-hots. Second is the feel. I like a softer ball and you get that from this Pinnacle! Third is its is half the price of pro v's and nikes's. The ball is around 70 compression so really gets up quick. If your after the soft feel of a nike super soft, and huge distance of a hx-hot, try this ball. Im sure you'll love it!

I just played with the new Pinnacle Exception. I thought it had the normal distance associated with Pinnacle plus it has a very soft feel. The softness made it very nice for iron shots, chipping and putting. I would recommend this ball.

Being that I work in a golf store I talk to many customers about golf balls they play. A guy with a seven handicap told me he loved this ball. He said he hits it just as far as a pro VI and uses it all the time. Well, I finally tried a couple out for nine holes today and it was AWESOME! My buddy was playing a Pro VI and I was out driving him most of the time. This ball just flies with hardly any effort, and, it's soft, not as soft as a black max, but softer than an NXT TOUR or HX HOT. It's really nice to find a two piece ball that flies far and is soft. It flies straight and really helped out my occasional bad slice. I was truly impressed. I'm just bummed my store is clearancing them out! There must be some new Pinnacle models coming soon. Drving was great, but what really blew me away was how well it putted. I have about a 2.27 putt average and today I had a 1.66. I never more than two putted this ball. OK, I think it helped that the ground was a little wet and not as fast, but this ball was straight and true. I usually play NXT Tours but I would use this over them from now on, especially for $11/dz less. Highly recommended.

When I first started playing golf, and didn't know any better, I used to buy Pinnacle Gold LS balls. Then I experienced soft feel balls and swore I'd never use those rocks with the Pinnacle logo on them again. One day I found a brand new Exception. It looked like it had only been hit once. It was so bright and shiny, I had to try hitting it. Holy #&^% it felt soft and good! I went on to play it and had one of my best rounds. As others have said, it's made by the same company that makes Titlest balls and has the same dimple pattern as many of the current Titlest balls. I do not agree with those who say it is a NXT tour, as the new 2005 NXT tour is a 3 piece ball with a differnt cover. But I would say that it feels somewhere between a DT SoLo and a NXT (regular NXT not tour) and maybe feels a little like the old NXT Tour (2003 - 2004). It's long, straight and soft. This is NOT a high spin ball, you won't be able to drop and stop it, let alone spin it back, so play it for some roll. It also does not putt as well for me as high end balls, but given the Exception's price, it's a great value.

I was playing a round which quickly turned into a practice round once I dropped my next to last NXT into a lake. I pulled out a DT Solo, and Exception out of my bag to finish my round. Decided to do a head to head ball test on a par 3. I was shocked to notice that the Exception looked so similar to the NXT. Hit them one afer another, and there's no question that the NXT carries about 10 yards on irons and only 5 or so with the driver. I didn't know the same manufacturer made Pinnacles as Titleist until I read these reviews. No difference in feel with chipping to me, but I did notice was the ball didn't roll as tru on putts. That can be frustrating - but for the value - I goota give it a 5 rating. 15 balls for half the cost of a dozen NXTs

I was really suprised with this ball i was so used to pinnacles being extra hard balls, but this one was extra soft. I was at the 8th hole and i had just lost a ball and i had this in my bag. I took it out thinking what the heck i might as well try it, And I just bombed this ball, extra straight too. It had a really soft feel. And its good around the greens. Im only 14 and i hit this 250 uphill. For the price and the performance i recommend this ball to anyone.
