this is one of the best balls out on the market. you can often find them in a ''trial'' pack where u can purchase 3 sleeves of balls for $15. this value is tremendous. soft feel, yet very durable and great control for spin and accuracy. maybe lacking in only one area: distance. you cannot go wrong with this ball, particularly from 150yds in

I''ve played w/these balls off & on over the last year and am happy w/the characteristics and performance of these balls. It definitely spins comparable to the Revolution & Pro V-1, and putts extremely true. I noticed about 5-7 yards of distance missing w/my drives including 3-wood shots from the tee, however. I am a feel player and cannot hit any ball harder than a Titleist HP Tour 2, so I''m limited to spin balls. This ball will definitely enhance your chipping & putting development in the golf game once you get a feel for it''s spinning tendencies. I would suggest this ball for any player from scratch to 15 handicap.

Very nice ball for a cheap price. Very accurate and long. Only problem would be the cover scuffing a little more than expected. $14.99 at Target for a 9 pack. Can''''''''''''''''t beat that.

Tried out the Strata Tour 90 and 100. Off the tee: - Distance is okay (not the best or worst) - Nice mid-level trajectory ball flight - Very accurate; always in or near fairway - Doesn''t go very well on mis-hits Around the green: - Good spin, but not great - Had trouble with distance control with partial wedge shots with them typically landing short. - Good chipping ball, rolls very true - Great putting ball, goes straight and true with very good roll

I first bought these balls at Target for $27 a dozen on sale in January 2001. First round I ever played I got a hole in one, backspinning the ball 10 feet into the hole with an 8 iron. I played the ball for a few rounds, and then like an idiot decided to start trying other ball varieties. I began playing these again and am getting good distance, exceptional spin, and my short game is deadly accurate. I have had three rounds in the 70''s with this ball. As long as they make this ball I am never going to stray again. Strata is the king!!!

I guess I am kinda biased, since I really like all the Strata balls (Except for the Strata Distance. I haven''t tried it, so I can''t say if it''s good or bad). But, I really think they hit the Bullseye when they made this ball. I have a tendency to stick with a certain ball and really don''t go out and buy balls just to try them. When I heard Strata had come out with the TP, I really wanted to try it out. Titleist came out with the Pro V1 about the same time but, as soon as I saw that $50 price tag, I said, "No friggin'' way". I bought a trail sleeve of the Strata TP''s and took them out for a "test drive". I was immediately sold. They go long and straight off the driver, feel excellent off the irons, and are fantastic around the greens. I love the way they feel chipping and roll unbelievably true off the putter. After playing them for a couple of rounds, I was sold. Side note. I was playing with my cousin, who is a caddy (he finds tons of golf balls), asked me what I thought of the Titleist Pro V1. I told him I hadn''t tried them, since they were $50 a dozen, and I couldn''t tell him if they were good or bad. He dug into his bag and gave me 3 pretty much brand new V1''s. I switched from my Strata to the V1 for the rest of the round. While I think these balls are pretty much the same, as far as distance goes (The V1 may be a tad longer), I was not impressed with the feel of the ball when hitting them with my irons. I mean they don''t feel bad but, I guess I was expecting something better from Titleist, I wasn''t impressed. They feel so much firmer, they almost feel like a distance ball, and I like the softer feeling balls. They were OK off the shorter irons, but I didn''t see that "Stop and Drop" effect they advertise. As far as stopping/spin goes, I think the Strata is a much better ball. Plus, for $10 less, you can get the Strata TP which, I believe, outperforms the V1 in almost every catagory.

In the past, have always played low-spin distance balls in an attempt to find more distance and more fairways. Unfortunately, the short game is difficult to control with this type of ball. Based on the positive reviews of the Strata Tour Professional on this and other golf forums, decided to give the ball a try and am glad that I did. Good driver distance with excellent control and feel on chip shots and putting. Am amazed that driver sidespin is minimal, yet the ball offers good spin control with the irons. The multi-layer ball construction really does seem to work. Had a brief "affair" with the Precept MC Lady and found the ball to be long and straight, but I really struggled with the short game. Also tried the Strata Tour Ultimate which is an excellent ball (especially putting), but could not justify the price difference. The special price of $13 for the 9-ball pack of Strata Tour Pros was a no-brainer! Long story short, the Strata Tour Pro is now my ball of choice. Down the line, will compare the Strata with the Titleist Pro V1 and the Callaway Rule 35 if and when the prices become more reasonable.

What can I say, I have tried many golf balls ranging from X-outs to the Pro V 1. All in all, the STRATA Tour professional fits me best. Good distance of the driver good spin off the wedges and a very good feel. What I do not understand is the big hype over the Pro V 1. I didn''t generate as much spin off the irons/wedges like STRATA Tour Professional but it was long off the tee. This is probably a good ball for me to use and I''ll probably stick with it.

My first impression of this ball is was at a par 3 course, so all my shots were iron shots. This ball really gets some great spin off the irons. For example, a 170yd par 3, hit a 4 iron at the center of the green. From that distance with the other balls I used, the ball takes one hop and rolls off the green or into the fringe. The Strata, finishes within feet of the mark on the green. It definately putts differently than any other ball I have used, but that will come with time. I think if I like the way this ball comes off the woods, we have a winner here...

This is the best overall ball out there. Good distance, excellent feel, putts true and is $15 for 3 sleeves at Target right now. I have a friend who is a district rep for titleist and he said that the pro v1 is actually the hp tour with a new cover on it and I can't believe all of these idiots pay $50 a dozen for these when the strata tour professional is a better ball and is cheaper.
