The ball plays a bit crisp. Control in direction seems good, but the distance seems short. Not one of Titeist''s better balls.

The Titleist HP Eclipse performed fairly well for me. Great off the tee and nice feel on the green. Not as good as the Pro V1's, or Strata's, but an overall decent ball.

Well, I have just ordered 3 dozen of the eclipse balls,, I have played with the hp and hp2 distance balls-- I can tell you that I have taken all three--hp,hp2 and eclpise and cut them in half to compare the cores-- I was more impressed with the eclipse-- as for playing- I only hope that I fit into the group of people who have had a positive experience with this ball -- my rating is based solely on visual comparissons-- I think the eclipse is a very good ball

The ball has a bad feel and sound. Almost like it was a 2 yr old range ball. Would rather use a Top-Flite.

This is the first time I played this ball. My friend gave it to me. I was looking for a ball that I could use when I don't feel like using the ProV1. I needed something more like a distance ball so i could use them on the longer courses. Plus I needed a better putting ball. I don't like the ProV1s feel too much.

This ball isn't what I had thought it would be (like a relatively hard distance ball.), but it does perform the way I want it to when I'm not using the ProV1. It's definitely a good putting ball. It's a little harder and it makes a little click sound when hit so I like that. It didn't seem to go much straighter than I had hoped, but it's fine. What I liked a lot about it though, is that it doesn't spin as much. Well I can still hold greens, just not as good as the ProV1. But I consider that a good thing for when I need the ball to release. Also what I like is the durability. It doesnt scuff as much. Also the distance is just as good no major difference. Lastly I needed a good ball that was cheaper than the ProV1. And this is I think $10 cheaper so I'm glad.

Well I think I have found my back-up ball to use. Email me any suggestions on any other distance ball to try out (it has to be a Titleist.) Next I'll be trying out the DT Distance.

well since using this ball my drives have been drastically straighter and now i have the confidence i needed for my driver.I don't know why people bad mouth this ball, it will really help keep things straight .Finally proof not just another "LONGER & STRAIGHTER" add. This one works

I don't see why everyone hates this ball. I think it is a great balance between distance, feel, and spin. This is one of the few balls that actually gives you a decent amount of wedge spin while at the same time not making you suffer any yardage off your drives and irons (unlike the pro-v total waste of money and letdown). You should at least give this ball a chance. They are fairly cheap, and really perform. Some people like harder feeling golf balls, some people like softer feeling golf balls, this ball is a perfect middle between super hard (distance ball) and super soft (balata or pos pro-v ball). Also, this ball putts like a dream. Very true, and feels very solid off the putter face. All around a great ball

Very nice ball. Has a feel that is different than other balls, not rock hard but not cotton soft like balata. It sort of bounces off the clubface. Does not hold the greens very well.
