I had been playing the Callway Rule 35 BLUE for about a year. Then when the Pro V1 came out i said lets give it a shot. I am soo glad that i did. The first time i played it i shot the course record. A 63. and I am a 15 year old with a 1 handicap. I havent even thought of switching again. I would recommend this ball to anyone who loves the game. Pro V1 is simply the best ball there is!

Found a Pro V-1 on the course and used it for the rest of the round. Added distance of +10% easily; and got all my yardages haywire after that. Same feel as the DT Wound I normally use, but love the added distance. Shame it''s so expensive.

I PLAY THE MAXFLI SOLID, AND FIND IT TO BE A GREAT BALL. HOWEVER I REFUSED TO HIT THE PRO V1, BECAUSE I DIDN''T WANT TO GET CAUGHT UP IN WHICH BALL IS LONGER CONVERSIONS AT THE 19TH HOLE. BUT I DID HIT THE PRO V1, AND FOUND IT BE "REAL" I PLAYED IT ON A SHORT PAR 5, 505 YDS, AND LAID 165YD FROM THE GREEN FROM THE TEE SHOT. OH BY THE WAY I WAS HITING IN 15MPH WIND, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THIS BALL.

STRATA Trou Pro has been my ball all summer, until now. I loved the Strata for its price/performance ($15 for 9 pack). Playing the NXT Tour (the softer version), I''ve discovered that the ball performs extremely well (longer, only a touch less grabby on the greens). On top of that it is actually CHEAPER than the STRATA because of its durability. I don''t think I ever got through a whole round with a single Strata ball because of the covers getting scuffed (no, not from cart paths), but these NXT''s covers are nearly indestructible. This is my new ball... at least for a while.

Tried it out last weekend. I really don''t know if it was real or the placebo effect. Who cares! Never had so much confidence hitting my driver. With the seam aligned, my shots were much straighter and longer.

Amazing ! I have been scrathing around 7/8 handicap for a couple of years playing various balls as listed in Similar Products Used. I ultimatley got around to trying the Pro V1 2 months ago and from the very first drive on the first tee realised this ball was special. I am consistently hitting my drives 15-20 yds futher thus putting shorter irons in my hand for approach, my ball flight is lower which has given me better control over my distance. The best part, my handicap is now 4 ! Need I say more !!!

I have been reluctant to try this ball simply because i didn''t beleive that this ball would be as good as the hype would suggest. I said screw it, i''ll give them a try. I have mixed emotions about this ball. Distance is excellent, spin is acceptable, feel is wonderful, very good duability. My one problem with this ball is its personality, on occasion it seems to have a mind of its own. I have heard friends say that if tee''d up a certain way its flight characteristics will change (draw = hook, fade = slice), i do agree. For now i will say that i like this ball, but that could change when the new Precept Tour Premium LS comes out. PS : i wouldn''t recommend this ball to a high handicap golfer, simply not worth the money if you don''t play very consistant golf (HP Tour).

first off i must say that anyone that gives this ball a bad review is either (A)-not as good as he/she thinks (B)-had a bad day and tried to blame the ball this is the #1 ball on tour by far so what dose that tell you now with that being said down to the review this is no magic ball you get out what you put in so if you can''t play tour quailty golf then don''t expect tour quailty resualts thats what i mean by you get out what you put in-THIS IS NOT A GAME INPROVEMENT BALL-if you shoot in the 70''s consistently this is the best thing since sliced bread i would rate this ball a 12 out 10 but they will not let me

First, I am reviewing this ball without regard to price, since I think the cost of a golf ball should not be a major factor if you are a good golfer. If you are a hack and lose a lot of balls, then don''t bother. I have played about 4 rounds with the ProV1 and I really think this ball is great. No miracles, but consistent all around performance: long off the tee and "drop and stop" performance. It is not as soft as the Titleist Professional or Nike/Precept, but has enough to hold all but the hardest greens. It is very durable and putts well. The Maxfli, Nike, Strata, etc balls all perform similar, but they don''t have that low ball flight off the tee that makes the ProV1 so great in wind. Once you learn the "seaming" trick (line up your driver with the PROV1), it really does perform: low, long and straight off the driver, high and soft off the irons. Expensive is relative; a good golfer shouldn''t lose or scuff more than a sleeve of balls a round. That''s about $10 (less than lunch), so stop crying about the price!

I have to admit that this ball is the best one that I have ever used. Saying this doesn''t mean this is the best ball for every people. This ball helped me score under 80. I used to use hard balls when I was in high school, because I thought that way I could hit the ball further. Later on, I found that contral is more important than distance. I used soft balls so I could get the ball up and landed on the right spot. This ball has both advantages of hard balls and soft balls. I have both the contral and distance. This ball is kind of pricy, but on the other hand, I don''t lose it very often. I''m more like a distance player than contral. When I used hard balls, a little open club face could create a big slicer, and then the ball could end up in the water or trees. This ball has good compact feeling, unlike hard balls that vibrate my club. Final thoughts, I like it, but I know there are a lot of people disagree with me. Give it a chance if you have never used it. This ball is not recommend to beginners, because it''s too pricy to lose and they can''t tell the difference of balls.
