It is a good ball. On my first drive i hit it about 10-15 yards further than the others. As for Tiger going to the Nike Tour Accuracy TW(no offense, it is a great ball that I have yet to try)-it is specifically designed for him.It is a great ball and if you can afford it you should get it. Other balls I reccamend would include the Smartcore Spin Distance-great spin without sacraficing distance.

Let me ask you, JMJ, if you have looked at how many pro use the Pro V1. YES, prob more than 50 percent do. But since you are the pro who makes money on the PGA tour, I guess you know whats best, not them.

First off to JMJ, you aren't representative of a blue collar golfer if you play with Mizuno irons and with a Titleist 975D driver. Have you checked the price of those items lately? Secondly, I will take my old Tony Penna persimmon woods and some old classic Hogan Apex irons that are 20 years old along with my bullseye putter and whip you all day long. Finally, as for the Pro V1 golf ball, it is a very good ball. Long off the tee and it spins quite well. However, if there is one complaint, the pro v1 tends to balloon a bit off the irons. I will stick with my Titleist Professionals.

OK, first off, this ball is great. All of you people who say it is bad is because you were expecting the distance of a top flite with the spin of a balata. Well im sorry but that isnt this ball. Second, if all you expert golfers are saying this ball is bad, then why do so many PGA pros play it. It must be pretty damn good. But i guess it just isnt good for all you "experts", but its good enough for the pros. STOP BITCHIN!!!

As a response to Ken, the pro v1 is not crap, its crappy for the price. What would you expect when u pay $60 a pack for distance balls? It's a ripoff, just like your game. I'll play you anyday with KMART balls and beat you. Yes I'm a weekend golfer but I do fine with my Mizuno MP-29 Final Edition DGS N/SENSICORE x100, Cleveland Gunmetal Wedges 55 & 60 degree, Titleist 975D 7.5 with DGS x100, Titleist PT 3 Wood (No Bore thru) DGS x100 and was clocked at 128MPH. Hmm lets just say I put my $60 dollars where it was really needed, in my stix. So in representative of the blue collared working class golfers out there, these balls are a fluke. I recommend you invest $60 dollars in lessons than play these balls.

I think Ken likes playing with Mr Titleist's ballz. He must be an in-house 8itch.

Let me start the review by saying that some of the previous reviewers, (JMJ,ron,Heath Crawford, etc.) are way off base in their comments. If the ball doesn't suit you then fine, it doesn't suit you. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE PRO V1 is "total crap", "sucks" or any of the other small minded comments you have submitted. I think a lot of people are expecting this ball to be the holy grail of performance for their golf game are setting them selves up to be disapointed no matter how well the ball performs. That is unfortunate, because this is a very good ball. I have found the performance of it to be very good in all areas, not always the "top" performer in a single area but always near the top. I was having to fight the old Greg Norman problem of having a ball that spun too much for my game which was adversly effecting my play. I find nothing more frustrating than to hit a really good shot in on top of a pin only to watch it suck back so much that you end up missing a great birdie opportunity. ( I have had that problem with the Titleist Professional, Tour Balata, Precept Tour Prem, etc.) With the pro v1 I get more controlable spin that I can deal with. Is it "drop and stop", as in a sack of sand hitting the green? No, but my shot are settling down very nicly and as a result I am converting more bird opportunity's. I have found the short game feel to be within my acceptable range, the Professional still rates #1 on those little chips, pitches etc. the pro v1 isn't quite as good on this, but with my being able to get the ball to sit where it lands better that kind of negates the issue for me. As far as distance goes, yes it is longer. After charting 12 rounds with it to really see if there is a difference and using our 3rd hole as a "testing facility" one afternoon and really giving it a test aginast the other "premium balls" it is longer, for me, by about 14 yards with the driver (975J 7.5 deg Grafalloy Prolite X) and its about 3/4 club longer with my irons. (Mizuno MP-33, 2-PW, X-100 DG, no sensicore) My other stats of note: swing speed with driver 116 Mph, 5 Iron 105mph. These were measured on the Test day. I think that players who strike the ball properly, and generate enough speed and compression and and will benefit form this ball. If you can face up to the fact that the majority of golfers out there are casual players and don't truly hit it sold and dead center ver often, then you can realize that for the average player there isn't a rason for them to be playing this ball and spending the $$$ that these are currently getting in the market. There are many good balls made out there today, and if you evalute each based on what/who it is designed for, rather than the fact that it doesn't suit you, you will find a ball that helps maximize your game. If you stop and think about it,...isn't that what we are all looking for.

Great ball!
It seems similar to the professional, but I always do better in tournaments playing with them. I shot my career low round the first time playing with them, then matched it the next day, and it keeps getting better! PLAY THIS BALL!!!

Good ball, but not deserving of all the hype. It is very similar to the Titleist HP Tour, which costs only $30. The feel is good, and it goes pretty far, but the spin rate is way too low. I hit a PW in from 130, and it landed right next to the hole, then released off the green. I was very dissapointed.
This ball is much better than the Precept MC Lady, which is a ball for weak hitting wussies. I would recommend the Nike Tour Accuracy TW to golfers who, like myself, have 110 mph+ swing speeds. It has a boring flight off the driver, yet stops on the green much better than the Pro-V1, and feels a little better too. All of this drop-and-stop bullcrap isn't true. I've seen Pinnacle Titanium Straight Distance balls spin more than the pro-v1. The overall performance is good, but the Hp tour is virtually identical in distance, and feel, and spins even more. I shot a 76 with the pro-v1 at my home course. I shoot 70-75 with the TW.
I would recommend you to buy this ball and at least try it out, but for me, I need more spin, feel, and consistency, with similar distance to the pro-v1, which perfectly describes the TW.
