I found about 4 of these balls at my local golf couse and tried them out. They are not worth $54. You get good distance out of them but they are not as soft around the green compared to other products I have used. A ball that is practically the same product only better is the Wilson Smart Core Spin Distance which is also much cheaper(2 dozen for $30) Similar Products Used: All of the Titleist balls, Wilson Smart Core, Nike Power Distance Feel Speed |

Worst ball I've ever played with. Squashy off the tee, crap spin around the green. Overpriced like most Titleist Similar Products Used: all |

I am very impressed with the Pro V. Having tried just about every other multilayer ball on the market, I think the Pro V has the best combination of Length, Spin and Durability. I had high expectations regarding the length and spin, but I assumed that durability would be a problem. Durability is not a problem. This is good news because at $40 a dozen, you should get more than 18 holes from a ball. There are many great golf balls out there, Precept TP (Nike TA), Maxi Rev, Strata TU, but as a personal preference I will play the Pro V. Great ball, but not worth the premium paid currently, once they hit $36 a dozen or used ones start showing up on EBay at a reasonable price, I will consider them. Similar Products Used: Strata Ultimate, Strata Tour Pro, Titleist Professional, Titleist Tour Balata |

Believe the hype: the Pro V1 provides the best distance, control, and spin all in one ball. That's why all the other golf ball manufacturers are claiming that the ball doesn't conform to USGA rules. Can't match the technology, so they have to claim that it violates rules. Check out this article at Golf Week and you'll want to go pick up some Pro V1's too. http://www.golfweek.com/articles/2001/business/news/22229.asp Similar Products Used: Strata Tour Professional, Taylor Made Inergel, Callaway Rule 35 Blue |

I must say this is an excellent golf ball; however, the better golfers will notice that it i inconsistent off the irons depending on its orientation and that it does not perform well in wind (many pros play the Professionals when there are higher winds). I don't know where these people are getting these 20-30 yards from the ball, mostly this is the placebo effect. If it works for you great. I like the ball because the greens in my area are fairly receptive so i don't need more than 10 feet of backspin to hold near the pin. The ball feels very nice around the green, but if you want to feel an amazing putting ball pick up a few Strata Tour Ultimates. While they will not spin as much as the Pro V1s, they will roll beautifully on the greens. Similar Products Used: None |

This ball is good. These people say things on here I can't believe.1)I have never seen these balls cost more than $44/doz if you are really paying $50-56 someone is taking advantage of you 2)Someone said he grinds the covers off with gunmetal wedges that is bullshit I can play one ball for two rounds with no scoring marks(they do turn a dingy yellow color though)3)one guy said they don't spin well he is lying or has no clubhead speed at all.As far as I can tell the only flaw is right around the green sometimes they come off a litle hot and won't check up especially on flop shots.Nike TA,Strata Tour Ultimate,Precept TP are all good balls but the cover is gone on the first full wedge.Maxfli Rev and Callaway Red(rule 35) are the only balls that compare.Callaway Red is better around the green but is 10 yards shorter on drive and 5 on irons.Price on the revolution is down to $29/doz.Hard to beat. Usually play the Revolution. This ball feels alot like them. It's just hard to get used to a wedge approach when you used to use an 8 iron. Similar Products Used: All |

This is the best golf ball ever made! I'm hitting it 10 yds. farther with my driver and 5 yds. farther with my irons, and it behaves like a champ around the green. It truly does drop and stop. Also it cuts through the wind like a knife.I've got to say it again..this is the best ball ever...hands down.Another thing,I like the black numbers. Seems to me this ball should be more of an issue of legality than the ERC 2 and other non-conforming drivers....but I'm glad it's not.Pricey yes,but it's so superior to it's competition, they're worth it.
