To be quite blunt, this is the best ball I have ever teed up. It's long, accurate, the spin is amazingly controllable, and the ball holds up well. I've heard that the ball tears easily, well I'll be the first to say, I played an entire round with 1 ball. The ball looked fine afterwards. A bit dirty. The most important thing in this game is to trust your equipment. I promise you when you look down at a prov1, it's almost natural to trust this ball is perfect in every way. I'm a believer!

Balls for better players who are looking for performance and control. The ball flies as far as any other kind I played before. But it stops on the green even with my 5 iron. Only with this ball, can I spin the ball back like the pros do on TV. It feels awesome off the driver and iron. Pretty durable, too. It is pricy but worth it for better players. Bargains can be found on-line for used ones.

I am a hacker & thought these were too expensive, but I can now play a round with a sleeve, sometimes. That is way better than hitting 3 sleeves of hard rock OB.

They fly straight and high off the tee, and my iron shots now spin enough to hold hard greens. Putting is also better with these balls. They feel softer off of the blade.

Don't let a few dollars stop you!!! You won't be sorry.

I have been playing both Titleist ProV1 and the U-tri Tour over my last few rounds. And I have noticed some differences. First, I think the ProV1 is a little longer than the U-tri, and without doubt spins more. But the u-tri stays white and scuffs less, doesnt lose any significant amounts of distance, and due to less spin, tends to fly a bit straighter than the ProV. All in all, I think the U-tri and ProV are actually quite interchangable. The U-tri would be a better scoring ball on days when your ball striking isnt at its best. If you get your balls for free, then be indifferent between the two. But if you pay for them, definitely use the U-tri. The ProV1 does not justify the price differential.

For everyone that is shooting >85, this clearly is not the ball you want. This also isn't meant to be a distance ball, although it still gets out there really well. The reason you are paying for this ball is for its performance. If you know how to shape a golf shot, this is the ball to do it with. If you are looking for this ball to lower your 20 handicap, you'll be worse off. Like some other reviewers, I used to play the Tour Balata, of which one bounce on the cart path would chew up. Then the Professional came, and that is still a good ball in my eyes, but the Pro V1 has allowed for a little more distance, while not sacrificing ball durability or spin. Again, if you are not good enough to hit this ball, it will make you worse...nothing worse than slicing a high spin rate ball. There is certainly a reason these are used on tours everywhere.

this is definitely the best ball i've ever played. i work at a golf course and from time to time i would find a ProV1, and i heard so much about them, so i went and played them. the very first shot i hit was with a 9 iron and i thought i hit the shot so thin it would roll thru the green, but this ball checked up on the first hop and actually spun back about a foot. i've loved them since, and i've tried the ProV1x, but you wont get as much control on your short shots as with the ProV1. luckily i have a friend who works at another golf course who picks up lost golf balls and he doesnt play them so he gives them to me, so i don't have to pay the heavy price. but if you do have to pay for them, trust me they're worth trying at least once. when you catch this ball nice and crisp, it will just take off and land nice and soft. which is what we're all looking for, right?! best ball i've played and will keep playing them.

well. The facts and figures are correct, it is a golf ball. A very good golf ball. You feel invincible standing over this with a callaway driver, however, when callaways face is open and ball flies into OB your a different man. Invincible is not choking back tears as you have lost £10.75 after 3 bad shots. great balls but punished for poor play

One of the best balls that I have tried and used so far. For slower swing speed (<110mph), you should try these. The only pain you will feel, however, is your wallet...too pricey. Beyond that, this ball is marvelous. I used ProV1x before, but does not feel good. Lastly, REMEMBER to align the seam properly prior to tee-off for your ProV1 :) I rate this four stars as I still feel the price does not justify, if they half it possibly the best ball around. (afterall, I still did a hole-in-one with this).
