I too am shocked at the low rating of this ball. This is a liquid filled, wound ball with a durable cover that performs well in all aspects of the game. Drives are straight and long. Iron are accurate and enough backspin to stop on any green and putting is true with good feel. My only request would be to be a bit softer, but I like a very soft ball. This is my #1 ball and I just wouldn''t even pay the money to compare it to the ProV1. Another reviewer said this ball is the ultimate compromise, doing all things OK and none great. I say it does all things pretty darn good without a "strong" bias towards distance or spin. Trust me, try it.

I was shocked going through the ratings to find this ball ranked below some of the other Titleist Balls. I have played them all, and I have been a big fan of TourPrestige until I liad hands on this ball.. Now I have more than one favorite, and that does include the 90 Professional. This ball has it all for me added distance, accuracy, and "feel" which to me is one of the most important parts of a good ball. There is a less expensive ball that you can find at discount places that has a "good feel" like the (don''t laugh) "TopFlite Z-Balta" a ball with exception feel, but does not comapre to the distance of this ball.. The ProV-1 without a doubt has more distance, but not the feel quality that I like..

Oh yes, very nice! I've been using the Tour Distance 90 and 100 for the last few months, while also trying other balls. I wrote a review of the Tour Distance back in August, and I really liked using that ball. I have tried just about every other ball out there, in the hopes of finding "my ball". The only other ball that I have tried that I really, really like is the Revolution by Maxfli. I've been bouncing back and forth between the Revolution and Tour Distance, with the Revolution being the softer of the two. I had just recently heard of the new Tour Distance SF, and was able to purchase a dozen from my pro shop the day after they received them. I took them out that day and the next and played a total of 54 holes with the SF's. These are softer than the regular Tour Distance, but still give very good distance. They fly straight but also stop nicely on the greens. I've read that the compression is about 75 or so, less than the 90's that I have been playing. The ball comes very, very close to the feel of the Revolution, just maybe a hair shy, but the SF is a very nice ball. One other thing, I used to buy the Tour Distance at Dick's for about $32.99/dozen. I picked up a dozen of the new SF's at Golf Agusta for $29.95. So, not only is the SF a better ball now, it's also less expensive for me to purchase (at least in my area). I'm very pleased with this ball. A nice combination of softness, feel, distance, stopping ability, etc... Overall, besides the Revolution, it is the perfect combination ball for me.

Customer Service

Nothing really. I did request the ball fitting CD Rom via their website. It seemed to take a few weeks to arrive. In fact, I kinda forgot that I ordered it. But it came and I found it to be very useful and educational. I've never had any problems with any Titleist products.

These balls are horrible. No feel, no spin, no nothing. You might as well play a Top Flight XL. A waste of money & time. I guess they were just playing with us until they could make enough Pro V1 balls.

Customer Service

Generally good although they refused to replace or repair free a carry bag with a defective zipper.

Have tried them all and keep coming back to this ball. Played a couple of weeks with the ProV1. Can't figure out what all the hype is about. I get consistent distance and spin from the Tour Distance SF and prefer it to the ProV1. After a couple of holes the ProV1 looks like a beatup balata ball.
The other Titleist balls (Eclipse, HP Tour, HP Distance) can't compare.

Distance off irons and driver inferior to Pro V1 by at least 10 to 15 yards average. Excellent spin on greens, but tendency to slice when not hit absolutely center. Puts OK, but fee off putter not as solid as Pro V1.

Right now, my favorite ball. No wonder it was the #1 seller for Titleist last year! I'm sure ProV1 will be close this year, but this ball is excellent for golfers looking for a ball that offers good distance and excellent feel. It is the second softest ball on the market (extremely unique compression averaging between 75 and 80 - much less than the normal 90 elsewhere). I've never played a ball that both feels soft and flies so loong. It's a "no-compromise" ball. At 3/5 the price of the ProV1, and with better feel at least to me, it's going to be my ball of choice for the rest for the rest of the summer. No complaints at all.

This is a wonderful golf ball. I used the Titleist golf ball fitting program to select this ball, and i'm glad i took the time to. You get good spin w/ the short irons like a spin accuracy model...and less spin on the woods to reduce hooks and slices, thereby getting more distance. For those who like the pro V1, but can't afford to use them on every round like me, this is a great alternative.

Customer Service

Highly recommend using the Titleist Golf Ball fitting program available at their website
