Top-Flite Gamer Balls

Top-Flite Gamer Balls

DESCRIPTION

Building upon the success of the Top-Flite D2® Golf Balls, Top-Flite has taken the benefits of proprietary Dimple in Dimple Aerodynamics and put it into a 3-piece performance golf ball that’s long, soft and generates more short-game spin for total control tee to green. The thin cover is made of a soft ionomer, and when combined with a firm ionomer boundary layer and a highly resilient rubber core, it gives golfers a ball that performs like no other in the Top-Flite lineup. It’s your secret weapon, your “go-to” ball. It’s your Gamer.

Seamless Dimple in Dimple™ Aerodynamics - Unique aerodynamic surface maintains spin longer throughout flight, allowing the ball to hold its line and maintain lift longer without ballooning. It also increases aerodynamic efficiency by reducing drag, maximizing distance for a wide range of swing speeds.

Soft, Thin Ionomer Cover - Provides enhanced feel and better control around the greens with increased short-game spin.

Large, High-Resiliency Core - Provides outstanding distance while maintaining soft feel.

Firm Boundary Layer - Works with the core to increase ball speed and helps minimize spin off the driver for long distance.

I usually play a Callaway premium bal, tou 56, now the X, but I tried a sleeve of these, not looking for a replacement for myself but trying to find something for my Dad, who usually plays NXT.

There is no doubt that after a single round the ball is spent, if you hit your irons crisply the cover will be much the worse for wear, but all in all, I would say this is a much better ball than the NXT and certainly not $25 worse than a pro-v1 or Callaway X.

I have about 10 balls left in my bag that are a combination of Callway tour 56 and X, once they are spent, I intend to use the Gamer, it is more than good enough for my game and certainly worth the money.

Yup ... this is the ball I've been looking for. It plays well in all areas.
You're messing up if you don't give these balls a try.

I recently bought a couple of 2 ball trial sleeves of the Top-Flight Gamer ball and played them yesterday for the first time. I liked the feel, flight, distance and control I felt I had over the ball. What I liked best about the Gamer, however, was that after 49 years of golfing I got my first hole-in-one using one: 177 yds, 5 iron. I don't know how much difference the Gamer made in this feat, but I'm going to keep playing it to find out.

Customer Service

This plays like a quality ball, the imprinting on the ball should be higher to reflect that.

I have been looking for a ball, at a decent price that is long off the tee, soft and great around the greens, that does not cost $50. I have found it. Yes it shaves, but it is a very nice ball. I usually play the Pro V1x, but they can get expensive, for the price($20),tis is best ball out there.

I tried the Gamer for the first time the other night as I was really curious in the performance of a 3-piece Top Flite. I played 9 holes with the same ball and would have to agree with most of the reviews already posted.
- length off the tee was equal to my regular ball.
- irons seemed a bit shorter (5 yards)
- the feel was a little soft - not firm
- the spin was good (drop and stop)
But I also found the ball not to be very durable. I shaved the cover on just about every SW I hit from the fairway. Because of this I won't be buying anymore of these even at the $20 price tag.
For just about .40 cents per ball more, I'll continue to play my regular Bridgestone e5's. Since the e5's never shave they are a better value for me as they will last a full 18 holes. Top Flite will have to improve the durability of the covers in order to continue the line as you can see that this is an issue with a lot of folks. You can expect to see that improvement in the '09 version.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to say for the combination of price (19.00) and performance this is one of the absolute best balls out there hands down. I am a decent player and have played all sorts of new golf balls over the years, I am always out trying the next new thing. More often than not always disappointed, not this time. I honestly gained about 5 yards on my irons, and my Drives I have to say 5-10 yards more. Feel off the irons is soft by not mushy, ball flight is strong. Good spin, not crazy, putts true as well. I only hope that Top-Flite keeps this ball in play for years to come. Hate it when a company tries to improve on a great product and just never the same. If they ever talk about “New and Improved” coming soon, I will by 20 boxes of this version. Yes i had one small scuff, but nothing that took away from the play of the ball. Great job Top-Flite

i have been playing the Top Flight Gamers for a few weeks now and really enjoy them. They are pretty soft, carry well and are all around a great ball. As others have mentioned, they do scuff up pretty easily. But for the price, I would go with these over any other $20/dozen ball out right now. Great choice!

I don't have much cash. I can't afford the Pro Vs. The top flite gamer is the next best thing. This ball is awesome. It's consistantly a half club longer and holds the greens extremely well. For $20/dozen it's worth every penny. You gotta try it.

Not your average Rock-flite. Outstanding value at $20/dozen. Performance is comparable to typical Pro balls (Pro V1, Nike One). However, as mentioned by earlier reviewers, it does tend to scuff easily, and after just a few holes it looks really beaten up, although the performance seems to be unaffected. So, if playing an unkempt-looking ball doesn't bother you, the Top-Flite Gamer is an excellent choice and terrific value for money.

Phenomenal ball. I saw the commercial and was intrigued to see what a Top-Flite 3-piece would play like. I played nine holes with my five-year old on Fathers Day. It rocked off the driver, long and straight. Off the wedge it hopped and stopped. It felt great off the putter, very soft. I didn't putt well but that was just my stroke. I typically play either ProV's or Dunlop Loco Tour D's (another cheap great ball), but I am already officially switching to this Top-Flite (I can't believe I just wrote that!) Give them a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great. If you don't like them, send them back and get your money back!
