Best driver tried by far. Very long and very forgiving. Expensive but worth it. However, getting the right spec paid dividends. Read on...

Tried an 11 degree driver regular shaft. Climbed like a pitching wedge. So bought a 10 deg. regular which gave a much lower ball flight. However, when I took it to the course it seemed to climb very high but still gave me a lot of distance. So I stuck with the club and it served me well for about 3 years. Worried that I might be losing distance with the 10 deg. I looked around for a 9 deg. regular shaft driver which I bought secondhand last year (Callaway no longer make the BBB). Difference was amazing. Now have perfect penetrating ball flight with huge carry and lots of roll. Added a further 35 yards to my drives.
Lesson - Make sure that you try several lofts before you buy (any driver) and use some old quality balls when testing on the range. Range balls just don't show you the trajectory or distance that you will get when using real balls.

This is the best Driver I have used. Very forgiving club & lifts the ball well. Needs a little getting used to the long shaft & extra large head. Does not require pushing hard to improve your distance, just keep the contact square & it will take care of the rest. Needs a long tee for the extra large head. The "TING" soound is so unique to Callaway & the BBB enforces this even more with the extra large head. If you do get some sand on the Ti face, don't be surprise how easily you can create a spark! Highly recommended. Cannot get new any longer, need to hunt around for used club. The best club Callaway has ever made.

On many of our courses, you need to WORK the ball off the tee, this club allows you to do this as well as the plain ordinary straight ones. It does ballon a bit against the wind, but Hey! what distance with.

They are good clubs. I have a 10 degree with a stiff shaft. I think they are overpriced. I have hit a number of clubs that are just as good, some even better, that cost a lot less. I changed the shaft, I don't think the factory shafts are as good.

This driver is way to overated. I used a 7 degree and the ball flew higher than my 3 wood. This resulted in getting no run and loss of distance. I soon changed to a titleist 975D which is a much better club, it has a much more solid feel and a more penetrating ball flight. I am an 8 marker and can hit the titleist 10-20 yards further than the calloway. Go buy a titleist.

I found that the Biggest Big Bertha is a somewhat worthless club to be using. What would you really need all of that power for if your golf game is not equal to a great like Corey Pavin.

My favorite driver. I've tried several others, but this one is the only one that flies straight and far for me. Fairly forgiving on mis-hits. Feels truly sweet when you stripe one. Need to tee the ball high, though; the head is huge.

I purchased this club in early January for a good price(150$). At first, I was having tons of trouble hitting the ball with the BBB. I couldn't hit the ball more than three feet in the air. I probably had trouble adjusting to the 46 inches long shaft. After a few times at the (indoor) driving range and after working on my grip, I finally can hit decent shots with this club. It also seems forgiving on off-center drives. The ultralight shaft also provide a great feel during the swing.

Love this club!! Gives me lots of self-confidence on the tee box. Enjoy playing through the pokey old men and watching their faces as I come straight and long off the tee. Added 15 to 20 yards to my drive. Want to fill my bag with ALL Big Bertha's woods.

Model Reviewed: 6.5 strong shaft

The right size. Callaway woods seem to produce a higher ball flight, I would not normally purchase a 6.5 degree driver but I haven't had any trouble hitting it.

Customer Service

Broke the shaft, called customer service and had a new club in two days! No complaints here.
