I had been looking for a new driver for a year. I hit the 975D next to my old Cleveland VAS Ti. The Titleist was about 10 yards longer. The ball flight was lower, longer, and ran more than any other club that I had tried. With the Ping 8.5 RUD I lost several balls high and right, the 975D promoted more of a draw. With normal conditions a ball hit flush travels 275, not as solid of a swing can produce a ball as short as 220. Misses are punished with distance more than direction. This club can be played very effectively by a mid handicap player, It is by far the straightest driver I have hit, and it's distance is comparable to the longest clubs out there. My swing speed is 103-107, my ball flight is right to left, I purchased a 9.5 with an EI70 stiff

Bought this driver as a replacement for my Ping TISI. Found the Ping long off the tee, but with no feel, and impossible to hit off the fairway. Just didn't know where the ball was going to go. Tested the Titleist with different shafts and flex, and found a combination which suits my game. Am able to work the ball, and control trajectory, and play the ball off the fairway. Build quality is first class.

Distance is similar (may be 5 yards shorter)to the Ping, but the 975 dispersion is far tighter. Probably hitting 55-60% fairways now as compaired to 30-35% with the Ping. Bad swings are punished with distance , but not accuracy.

Some reviews say that the club is hard to hit. I contend that this is "the" game improvement driver. You can't be slack with the 975 as you can with the TISI and GBB-BBB. Your ball striking will have to get better as those other drivers disguise bad swings. Its the same arguement for CB and Blade irons; CB's don't improve your game, blades do.

As a 16 yer-old 5 handicapper i believe that this is simply the best driver anywhere by far. nothing else feels as solid, or can shape it as well....or hits it half as far. it is the best driver-by far!!You don't know what you're missing!!! go and get one now and you will have a chance of reaching more par 5s in two.

I have just purchased and I feel that although I am a high handicapper this is truly a good club. I can hit the ball and keep it straight as opposed to some of the fancier drivers that I have tried such as the Callaway Great Big Bertha Hawkeye, which made me hook the ball. The shaft is very nice, and I prefer it over the ei-70. The feel that the club produces is good and I love the sound that is made when I strike the ball. I would tell my friends to get this club, and I got it new for $320, at a place on the net. Peter

Simply the best. I purchased the driver with a stiff EI-70 shaft, and have just swapped the shaft to UST Proforce 75 regular. This is a grear combination, a slight loss of feel but just as straight and around 10-15m longer.

this is the best driver on the market and it has the best shaft on the market. when you put them together, watch out. the trajectory is perfect and it is so long that it is scary. yesterday when i went to the driving range to hit it for the first time i drew a croud. but this driver!

I was in the market for a new driver when I test drove the Titleist 975D. I play several rounds with it and found it to be the best driver I ever put in my hands. You could really let one out on the par 5's and hold back for the more controlled draw or fade. It sure was nice to get the ball out about 290 again. It makes the game so much easier. It might be a little high priced for some and it may not be as forgiving as some people would like, but you will get more than your money's worth. As for the other, that is what the driving range is for.

A great driver. Great feeling when you hit a ball flush of the middle. If you want quality and feedback turn to this driver! I can hit about 250 metres consistently with it.

Great club to achieve driving accuracy, however not neccesarily distance. Don't be a hero and make sure you pick a shaft best suited for you.

Since most players buying this club aren't new to the game, the 975D is a great club for controlling the hook/draw balance.

Net net with great looks and a reasonable price you can't go wrong.

Very solid players club. Ya know reading through these reveiws, I noticed that the people who are not as good hated this club. Well you have to be decent golfer to hit this driver well. Im 16 and have shot in the 70's but my average is the 80's And this is one of the best clubs there is. Dont blame the club if you cant hit it, remember its not the arrow but the indian. Titleist go!, this is one awesome club. Be shure to demo first!!!!
