I have tried this driver on 2 separate simulators and both times hit nice draws down the middle, with different shafts no less (I am more of a fader). Saw this in the used bin in perfect shape and could not resist (hard to find for leftys). Went to the range and wow the simulators were right. My bad fades turned into good fades and most of my shots were slight long boring draws. I could not believe it. I mave the Mizuno and like it but if I lift my head - high bad fade (not quite a slice) but this one - draw turns into a straight shot even when doing a Duval. I can hardly wait to play this thing. It is the easiest driver I have ever tried Customer Service Nothing yet Similar Products Used: Many others. |

8.5 DEGREE WITH DGX100
EXCELLENT CLUB. I'VE TRIED IT WITH GRAPHITE SHAFTS AND WASN'T IMPRESSED. BUT WITH THE STEEL SHAFT IT IT PERFECT. BUT BEWARE, TITLIEST MAKES THESE HEADS CUSTOM TO WHAT SHAFT THEY PUT IN THEM. MINE WAS MADE FOR A GRAPHITE SHAFT. WHEN I PUT THE STEEL SHAFT IN I CUT IT DOWN AN INCH TO 43.5 INCHES SO I WOULD HAVE A SWING WEIGHT OF D-6 INSTEAD OF D-8. THE CLUB IS SOLID. I THINK MABYE 10YDS LONGER THAN MY OLD DRIVER, BUT THE CONSISTENCY AND ACCURACY HAS IMPROVED ALOT. MORE CONFIDENCE WITH THIS CLUB. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD BE BETTER IS THE TRAJECTORY. IT IS LOWER THAN AVERAGE., Customer Service NO EXPERIENCE, BOUGHT FROM A FRIEND CHEAP. Similar Products Used: CALLAWAY GBB |

This driver is one of the best, if not the best driver ever made, the only driver which is close is the Ping TiSI or closely followed by the Great Big Bertha. The Titleist is very long, easpecially on solid hits, and I love the sound the driver makes, sounds almost like an old persimmon wood, with that sound that makes a loud CRACK!!! Only way this driver lacks is in the forgiveness part. No golfer should use this unless they shoot in the 80's, and have a very strong ball striking game. 8.5 w/EI70 shaft
I like the ball flight I get off of this driver. It has boring flight especially with the EI70 shaft. The stock shaft that came in it was good but my overall performance with this club has improved with the new shaft. Customer Service They allowed me to switch shafts for a nominal fee. 975D 8.5 degree
I recently changed from the Callaway Hawkeye Titanium 9 degree with a Ultra Light stiff to the Titleist 975D 8.5 degree with a UST Proforce 65 stiff. The 975D carries further with a lower boring flight with good roll (the Callaway tends to balloon and drop down with no roll). Try all the shaft options (check out Titleist's web page...they offer more shafts than people think). Customer Service Good customer service...will ship custom orders without additional charge. At firs I had a 8.5deg./stiff but got a ballflight that was a bit to high. Shot 20 yards past it with my old 7.5 deg. GBB. Tried the 6.5deg. lofted one, and the Titleist whent 20 Yards past the GBB, so on monday this one will be in my bag. Try out all the shaft combinations as they vary the ball flight alot (at least for me!)! The club has persimon feel wich I find to be a good thing, and you can feel the club-head all trough the swing. Similar Products Used: Ping ISI, TaylorMade Ti2,Ti2-Tour, Makser Ti, PowerBuilt |

After many long "painfully expensive" years, I beleive I have found my "dream driver"!! This club hits the ball with such a swee feeling. The GBB I have used for the last 2 yrs had a tendency to lose its shape if I tried to really pour on the juice, no such problems with this one, it simply goes further!! The GBB has been a good stalwart, 275+ when I really opened up, the Titleist goes in excess of that and feels so smooth in doing so, and the sound is reminiscent of a wood club. I would recommend anyone looking for a new Ti to look seriously at this club, mine is fitted with a Grafalloy 8.5 degree and I love it!!!! Excellent Club. I borrowed my dads while he was in Italy (Sorry Pops) and I hit the ball straighter than ever before. This club really helped my fade. I felt like I could actually place the ball which I have never been able to do before. I am selling my Orlimar and TaylorMade and buying this club. Look out boys, I will have a new "Death Stick". I love it! My friend bought one before I did. He was constantly flying by me off the tee. I tested this club and believe me it's wonderful! A nice smooth swing generates 260+ yards of distance. Similar Products Used: Purespin, Mizuno T-Zoid, King Cobra |
