very basic driver, no frills. that's why i like it. it doesn't promise anything. you have to bring your game to use it though. used one about 2 years ago when i first started to play, wasn't ready for it. now that i've shaved a few strokes off my handicap, it's a welcomed instrument. great trajectory and ball flight. definately have to be under a 20 handicap to really appreciate this club. look at all the other companies that are trying to imitate this original beauty! as far as price is concerned, pay for quality not gimmicks. as least you won't have to buy another driver again.

This is the best driver on the planet. I get excellent distance and accuracy with it. I you don't like this club, there is something wrong with your swing or your brain. Look at the top players in the world and what do the majority of them play? THIS CLUB!

The actual clubhead is unbelievable, however, the shaft is one of the worst shafts that I have ever used. I have had to change the shaft 2 times. At first i used the stock "stiff" shaft. Except that shaft bent more then the senior ladies shaft that my grandmother uses. Then I spent anohter hundred to have a maroon shaft put on, That would have been fine except it allowed the head to twist to much. I hooked the hell out of that ball....I had to start it 50 yards right of where i was aiming. The next shaft I tried was blue and yellow, as stiff as i could find. That set me back another 125, but it was worth it. I am now hitting the ball 280 at 14 years of age. Withouit that shaft i would still have a double digit handicap. I am now a 6.
The head of the club is a little bit too heavy, but it lets you swing as hard as you want without being erratic. This club will hurt you if you have a very slow swing speed, or if your handicap is above 20. Also, you must try this club before buying it. I spent a total of about 700 dolars total to build a club that fit me. My friend bought thiis club and he is wild as hell. He cant hit it straight because of the weight of the clubhead. The sweetspot is amazingly small, so if you do not have a consistent swing i would not recommend it ecuase I hit the sweetspot about 1 in 3 holes and i have a very consistent swing. There is an area around the sweetspot that provides good contact, but it does not get the distance that the sweetspot provides. If you want an easy club to hit get the Taylor Made 300 series, If you want a club that will allow you to open up your swing without sacrificing accuracy, get the titleist. This club is VERY overpriced, and very hard customize to your style. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone but near-scratch golfers.

Why did Phil Mickelson, Justin Leonard, and Tom Kite switch to the 975D? Superior performance! It's simply the top driver out there. If you don't hit this driver well, you need to fix your swing. It's a beautiful club; solid feel and sound, not tinny like other ti-clubs. Don't go for the gimmicks these other companies pull every two years or so just to over-hype and sell clubs. Titleist is the real deal. I love this club.

I was apprehensive about this club when i first bought it but i had heard it was unforgiving off-centre. When i hit it i caught it slightly off centre but still made the 250 yard green. When you catch one with a slice it does tend to exxagerate it, but when you hit it anywhere near the centre it goes with the extra kick the pros get after a couple of seconds. I rarely hit this club below 225 yards. It looks good feels good, but the perfomance is phenominal.

Well, I really believe that this must be an highly overrated club. First of all I tried all different models , shafts etc, that they had on the demo day, even thogh I didnt like any of them. I have always considered myself to be pretty good with the driver, but with the 975D its seems like all the talent has flown away..It doesnt have this "feel" that at least I need to have in a club. Other than that Its unforgiving and sounds boring...It doesnt deliver what I expected. But then again im not scratch yet, but im going down there...

A very nice driver, but it is not very forgiving on off-center hits but when you catch a good one watch out this thing can put them on the next planet. The original shaft is weak

This driver is quite simply breathtaking. After a few hits you start to get that penatrating flight where the ball floats up gradually. I found that the PingISI ball flight did not have this. There is such a solid sound of this clubhead and i cannot strees enough how important it is to buy!!! please go and purchase it at www.golfbidder.co.uk because the servie is excellent.

Bought 975D 9.5 with Stiff Ultralite shaft secondhand. Hit it really well at range but not so great on the course. Can't really judge a club on how you hit it on the range. Tend to pull ball with stock shaft. Shaft feels too light and soft to be a stiff.
Changing to EI-70, 44 1/2 inch which will hopefully improve feel.
Club feels great when hit well however and looks fantastic.

Customer Service

Excellent.
Clubhead had rattle - Titleist put on new head within 2 weeks.
