great club I just got it and i love it. I had a talor made 360 and hit it very high so I traded it for this and i am very glad I did. I hit this very stright and very long. I would recomend this club for any one who want to hit the ball better than they ever had. Titleist 975 J
I've had the blessing (or curse, in my case) to have hit just about every single driver on the market (into the trees on every hole that has any trees anywhere). I've found the experience much more, uh, solid with the 975 D's and J's than any other drivers. The 975's have that good thudding oomph that really make you feel like you tagged the shot (deeper into the trees) than a wimpy hollow-headed driver. The Prolite Stiff shaft really brings the trajectory down (to the point where I feel I'm getting mostly trunks, and less branches). The head feels heavy and meaty (which is good for pounding the tee into the ground after I drive another one into the trees). Frankly, from a forgiveness standpoint, I don't see much differnce between the D and the J (though I've been able to hit this one oak on number 11 more often with the J). As for overall length, I don't think either club is the longest thing on the market (but that's hard to judge when you rarely see your balls land). Now my friend, Mike Sullivan, sort of a chimp of a man with knuckles that scrape on the ground and the strength of ten men, can hit his 975D, and my 975J about 300 yards each, and prefers the D. Purchased my J from a buddy online. The club was reshafted with a Penley Stealth 70 and played a couple rounds before I picked it up. I've played the D for a couple years and still love it. Thus I held off on the J for a while. Now that I've been playing the J for a few weeks it's in the bag on a daily basis. It's not as solid as the smaller D, but it's longer and a bit easier. I'll still play the D given my confidence in that legendary stick, but the J's found a home in my inventory. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Too many to list |

The 8.5 degree 975J with the Proforce 75 shaft. I like the solid feel at impact and the ball flies very straight. It's not as long as the TM360 or some of the new drivers with the beta-titanium face but it's super consistent and the distances are very reliable. The only bad part of this driver is the fact that 2 new drivers from Titleist were released less than a month after my purchase. 975j 8.5*
I was looking for a 975d 8.5* and found a 975j 8.5* with a Proforce 75s shaft. What an awesome club : Feel , accuracy , and forgiveness. I test drove the 975j when it first came out and didn't like it. The loft shaft combo wasn't for me for. A Pro set me up with this club and the rest is history. This driver replaced a Ping Isi that I only kept for a month due to the results that it produced ( had to have very slow tempo swing ). Will stay in my bag for ever. Customer Service Haven't delt with. Similar Products Used: Gbb, TM 300,320,360, 975d Ping Isi |

WOW!!! What a driver. This thing is soooooo long. I have a 43.5 " S300 shaft on this baby and I ALWAYS hit it at least 270. I love this thing because it''s almost impossible to slice it...the worst you''ll get is a fade. Knowing that, it give you the confidence to just step up and rip it...you don''t have to really worry about anything else. This is by far the best driver out there! Demoed the 9.5 proforce 65 shafted J and hit 50 percnt of fairways. Problem was some shots were low draws, one high draw, and a few high rights to boot.On the last par 4 (#17)the shot really flew and ended up in a fairway bunker.I was able to put the ball on the green with a 7 iron but when you play on modern links like around here you cant be spaying the ball no matter how far you hit it. History repeats itself when the original warbird and GBB came out they worked fine then they sold you the Biggest Big and you coulnt drive it straight when it got windy out.I do not recomend this club but I still will use my 975D with EI70.The original is the best. Also have DCI981 irons, very good clubs ,but lose the trispec shafts and get dynamic gold or rifles.Best putter is ping and ping wedges are good too. Customer Service This company is slow to make custom orders but have excellent products. Similar Products Used: callaways,cobras,taylors,p.t.metals,975D |

I have a 7.5* model as I hit the ball high with my driver. I took the stock 60-S shaft and to be honest have been pleasantly surprised. My swing speed usually averages 105 and this shaft stands up very nicely. Overall this is a really good club. Unlike some of the other big clubs (Cleveland Launcher, Ping TiSi, etc.) the sweet spot is clearly discernable. There''''s just enough feel that you can refine your swing but really good forgiveness. The higher lofted versions have a little more draw bias which is why Titleist is releasing the 975J-VS (very straight). The 975D is also a great club, but definitely shorter. In my experience you can "work" the 975D to fade with better distance than you can the J. For the straight ball and the hook the J is clearly longer. Really I am a club junkie - I own 4 putters, 4 sets of irons, and many woods. The 975J w/a 975F fairway wood are the best 1-2 combination I''''ve played. I am very happy with the two of them. Customer Service Traded a couple of emails - no biggie. Similar Products Used: 975D (nice), Hawkeye (9* w/stock shaft balloons the ball, 7* w/grafallow kills it but inconsistent), Hawkeye ProSeries (7.5 w/ProForce 65 - Ok, but shaft was inconsistent for me), Cleveland Launcher ( |

The BEST driver I have ever seen. This is by far my miracle club. I carry now 250 and end up with about 250 yards. It''s straight and long. This truely gives you confidence on the tee. This is by far the most consistent driver I have seen so far. $400 for it is a little steep, so go to eBay and get one. I can see why Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, and many others use this driver. Go get one! Customer Service None required. Similar Products Used: Callaway ERC II 9*, Taylor Made Firesole 9.5*, discount brands. |
