This is the best fairway wood I have ever hit. I recently upgraded my clubs, and got this 7 wood in place of a 3 iron. I always had trouble with the fairway woods, but this is very consistent. I'm hitting 180-190 yards every time. The ball takes an awesome flight, straight as an arrow, and accuracy is great. The sound is nice and soft, and you don't even feel the ball. Even when it isn’t hit in the sweet spot, the loss of distance isn’t that much. This is defiantly a sore lowering club.

I have been playing golf for about 18 months and my biggest issue has always been my driver. I go from a consistant fade to an outright slice depending on the day. I bought this club on ebay out of frustration with my drives. I love the size of the head. I purchased mine with the pro series callaway shaft and I love it. I consitantly his my shots 150-275 off the tee and 225 -250 off the deck. Since I started playing this club my handicap has gone from 9+ to 6. I hit the fairway almost every time and if I do miss I do not loose much distance. I now only use my driver 3-4 times a round on the most wide open holes on my home coarse. This club perform great.

These are electrifying woods. The sound and feel is unmatched. Forget what you know about the VFT driver. The 3-wood makes an unbelievable alternative driver. On one occasion this year, I bombed a 355 yard shot into the middle of the fairway with this 3-wood. You may have to adjust your swing a little to work out the draw tendency of the club. This is a dynamic club that can be hit low or high, with a tendency to hit low burning shots off the fairway and medium-high LONG shots off the tee. The 5 and 7 are better for fairway use, and every bit as electrifying in feel and sound. Man, these are sweet clubs. Now that they're selling for as little as $250/club (graphite), they're a steal.

WOW! This is the most dissappointing club that I've ever hit. The face is horrible. The good player WILL hook the ball because of the standard 1.5* closed face. Callaway is manufactured for people who hit a slice. Keep in mind that the people who play Callaway on tour have all of their clubs COMPLETELY fitted to them. The weekend players will get the closed woods for $400. I really hate Callaway.

this is a great 3 wood. I tried it at al local store here, my drives were almost equal to the taylormade360 driver. The sound is impressive...people wil lgather around you to see what u are using ;) I consistently hit 220+..with 75-80% swing..the sweet spot is very big so there are very rare misses. The only difficulty is hitting off the deck...unlike adam's golf woods...this club head is pretty big so hitting off the deck is a bit difficult for me. well for now or for 2-3 years , I don't need a driver since I meet the fairways almost all the time with this wonderful 3 wood. again, the sound is so sweet that it beats any other driver out there in audio quality;). buy it..won't repent. The natural draw also helps me recover from my slice.

a golfer in my third year and can't save my soul with my driver. Tried out the vft 3 wood out of frustration and can not believe my own eyes when I tee it up in the driving range. Set up confidently with the large head and sweet spot feedback is heavenly, and after two months of hitting it twice a week and 8 rounds of golf, I am hitting 9 out of ten fairway in the range of 230 to 270 yards. Still need to work on the deck hit. Felt so good that bought the 5 vft the same day. These wood do have natural draw so fit my slight fade swing. Tried out the vft driver ,it slices badly and feel is totally different from the woods, will not recommend it.

When I first got this 3 wood I liked it alot, but as I have played with it more I started hooking everything with it so bad that i dont even hit it no more. this is a great club for someone who hits a slice or a fade but if you draw the ball like i do then i dont think that its a great club. I gave the club to one of my firends that has a fade and shoots in the 80''s and he loves so much that he bought mine.

I have only played with this for 3 rounds so it is early days, but this club is so easy to use and gives you so much confidence. I am now hitting many more greens 200 yards+ and this in turn has improved my scoring. If you have a tendancy to slice then I recommend this club as it naturally gives you a little draw. It is also good out of the rough.

Customer Service

I lost the headcover and contacted Callaway and they agreed to send me a replacment free of charge. Enough said.

The VFT 3 wood is the best golf club I have ever used. I also have the 2 wood,7wood, and 9 wood. I had the Driver but didn''''t like it,got rid of it and now drive with the 2 wood. Over the years I have tried em all. Only the 3wood gets this type of praise....UNBELIEVABLE...it''''s so goooood

This is an excellent 3 wood. It is not so small that you lose any confidence with tee shots like many others. I love the size of this club but also it plays great for me off the deck. I hit this very straight and the distance is almost like a driver. Every round I''ve played since I got the VFT 2 weeks ago I hear comments such as "you don''t need a driver you''re hitting it 250 to 270 yards". I am not one of those fantasy 300 yard liars but seriously this club is real close to my driver distance on solid shots. I wish that the driver to match could guarantee similar results. If you can afford this club buy it. I have a natural fade so this club is made for me with the draw bias it has.
