Bought the 2001 edition in the summer of '01. A little less distance than my old Taylormade Burner OS irons, but great feel and accuracy. Great value. Small clubface, yet proggressive offset. A great "transition" set between oversized irons and blades. Good buy.

Customer Service

Good, overall.

Recenly i bought the new 845''s. let me tell you these clubs are wonderful. Before i bought these clubs i had taylor mades, and Mizunos. Both sets were near 800 dollars. I bought the 845 for 299 and i think they feel better than both of them. I normally hit my 5 iron 200 YARDS, now with the Tommy Armours i am hitting it 210 on average. These clubs give me awesome distance and great accuracy. Go buy them they are the BEST.

It was an impluse buy. This is only my second year playing(I''ll shoot 105 as often as I shoot 95). There were three sets of 845s at the local second hand sport store: two priced at $190 and this set (3-PW) for $99.00. I verified the price. These had mid-size grips which I like anyway. $99.00 for a name brand set of club, why not. I set about learning to hit with the small clubhead. The need to concentrate pays off and I am hitting the greens with greater consistency (still can''t figure out that putting thing though). Tremednous satisfaction when you hit the ball well, a good looking high trajectory on the mid to short irons. My swing speed can be measured with a sundial and I have to admit to satisfaction of the 8 yard or so difference between the game improvement waffle clubs and the 845s. Last week in the local sporting goods store the 845 woods were on sale, 2 for one pricing. So now I have a bag of 845s.

I bought these irons after reading several reviews, and because of their low price. Best golf related purchase I have ever made. The irons look great at address, and when struck solidly soar off the clubface. Off-center hits will let you know you missed the shot, but the shot will still fly the same distance, but perhaps on a different trajectory. Great set of golf clubs if you enjoy feedback from your clubs, and want a cheaper alternative than some of the more expensive clubs out there.

I love these clubs. I had my mind set on Taylor Mades or Clevelands, but instead of looking at any certain brand names, I decided to just try ''em all, and I picked the ones that felt the best - and the Armours won. I had been a steel shaft-only guy up to this point, but these graphites are stiff and light. They just feel great to me.

Customer Service

Can''t speak for Armour, but I dropped about $1600 on clubs for my wife and I that day (ours were both stolen), and the counter girl at Golfsmith didn''t smile, say thanks, or wish us a nice day.

I have tried many different irons and found these to fit me the best, I reshafted them with Rifle lite 5.0s. I just love the feel of them, easy to swing and work the ball. Also can get for good prices, only down fall is you cant adjust the lie try em you will like them.

I heard great things about these clubs, so when I found a good deal on a used set, I jumped at it. I do not regret it. Smooth clubs with great feel. I would not trade them for any other club.

I have used the 845s for 15 years and they are going to the grave with me. Crisp, clean-looking well-balanced clubs. I agree 100% with Clifton. Buying an $1,000 set of irons isn''''t going to do anything for your game. You may think so, but the fact of the matter is if 85 is your best then that''''s it regardless of the clubs you purchase. So buy a set of irons that look good and feel good to you not because of marketing hype. If you really want to improve your game be prepared to re-tool your swing with the help of a pro. This will require you to hit 60 shots a day for 60 consecutive days. If you don''''t have that kind of committment and/or time your USGA index is staying right where it''''s at and $1,000 irons won''''t change that a wink.

These clubs are perfect for any type of golfer. They are very forgiving and feel great. These are perfect for me because i hate those rediculously large clubs, such as callaway, but i dont like hitting a blade. The 845''s are not big and they are not thin like a blade, they are right in the middle, and perfect.
