These clubs are by far some of the best on the market... I have watched people spend loads of money for other clubs that are horrible just because they have a "brand" name... but why spend all that money for a "name" brand club that isn't what you need when you can get an affordable set of these clubs?... I recommend these clubs because they feel great, they don't cost much and they suit pro's and beginners alike... I read a review that said they weren't forgiving... but compared to others these clubs are saints! Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour 855's |

These clubs are SWEET! They feel so nice and crisp, but yet soft when hit right in the sweet spot. They tend to go higher than my previous irons but they go the same distance. I recently got them so I could help to get my game to the next level. Highly recommended. Similar Products Used: None |

I like these clubs but feel the head is a bit small for the novice to amateur golfer. These aren't the most forgiving clubs I've ever played but a good hit is instantly rewarded. A bad hit and your hands will feel it. I would recommend these clubs but only to someone who has a consistent swing. They aren't very forgiving but stiff and powerful in the right hands. Even though times change, these clubs are still some of the best irons I have ever played. They have good feel, are forgiving, and have pretty good distance. These irons are still better then most offerings out today. If you can get your hands on a set, go for it. You WON'T regret it. Customer Service I have snapped a shaft once. They replaced it pretty quick. Similar Products Used: Alot |

My weekend foursome plays Taylor Made, Mizuno and Calloway (except me), and they are younger than me (I'm 43). I'm longer than two of them. I tested MacGregor MT Tungsten irons recently. 3-irons start at 21 degrees in both sets, and end up 8-degrees flatter in the MacGregors, yet they hit the same distance thru the entire set! The 845's are forgiving and easy to line up at address. Great feedback for a cast club. Well-struck shots have a sweet "click" and the ball gets small and tracks to the hole. Very little offset, which aids my shot shape (a predictable draw). If you want players to be in awe of what you paid, spend $600-900 compared to what I paid for these fantastic sticks. If you want those players to (secretly) admit your clubs are as good as theirs, these are a good choice. I love it when my buddies say "that was a perfect golf shot...." and I only paid $299 for these irons! When coupled with Precept MC Spin balls, this set is deadly accurate. Every tax refund season I think about buying something new (I'm a victim of marketing pressure), but I just can't. These irons are accurate, forgiving and most of all "pro-line" at an affordable price. Remember, they have won 23 PGA Tour events! These are a "BEST BUY" and definitely worth a test at your local pro-shop. Customer Service Registered the serial-numbered set, and have never heard from them. Same with my Zebra TD-Z2 putter the parent company also manufactures. Similar Products Used: MacGregor MT Tungsten, Adams GT, Taylor Made Firesole |

This is now my 5th year since learning to golf, and this is my 2nd set of irons. I bought them in Fall 1999 after hitting them on 4 separate occasions. I like that they look great and feel great. I have the Dynamic Gold with Sensicore, S-flex. I have yet to break 87, so I'm hoping this year I can do that. I just regripped them with Crossline Classic Soft-cord grips, and they are even better! I have even hooked the ball around trees with my 4-iron on a few occasions. Overall, I have confidence with these irons, they look and feel great, and they are pretty accurate. Oh yeah, they also don't hurt the wallet as much as some other irons do. Suffice it to say, I'm happy with them, and hope to drop to lower scores with them this year! I looked at a lot of clubs and read about a thousand pages of reviews here at golfreview before buying a replacement set for my first golf clubs. I appreciated a lot of the reviews from scratch golfers and those who are much better than me, but was worried because I am a rank beginner who was looking for steel head clubs rather than an alloy. I bought these brand new at what my friends say is a great price, and I have been blown away! If you are like me and need a club to develop a swing around, not a club to fit an already polished or set swing then I recommend these without reservation. They are comfortable, forgiving, and solid on great swings and not so great swings. I shaved 15 strokes of my game immediately and am now pumped about breaking into the 90's.
