None Great Irons. Very easy to hit and they inspire confidence. Accurate as well. In direct comparison with Taylor Made 320 and Titliest 981 these were both more accurate and longer. The ball jumps off the face and the feel is very soft. Ball flies high. The wedge is difficult to control due to VFT technology. I bought a Pro Series A Wedge that I use for chipping and approach shots that fits in nicely with the set. None I never liked to play Callaway''''s products, but this iron sets are exceptional. This iron is easy to hit with powerful impact and very high trajectory (you need it especially when you face trees as you approach). The ball goes like forever and land it very softly, exactly what you need for approach shots. Be advised though, that the shaft is half inch longer than regular length. That makes the long iron shot long, but short iron shot long as well. You need shot iron shot dead accurate, but you have to adjust your stance for this iron. otherwise, the ball will always go to the left, you will miss the green a lot. Other than that, I am glad that I own a X-14 now. I play them every day and enjoy them every time. Similar Products Used: None |

None Be prepared if you want to buy this club. It has 2 degree offset, so your normal swing may send the ball to the left. If you swing hard, you will hook the ball. You must read Hogen''s Five Fundamentals before play this club, since Hogen was an expert on curing the hook. You must know how to hit an off-set club, especially those shor iron shots that you fire at the pin. Otherwise, you will hit the ball to the left all the time, and you think your game is off and become very frustrated and confused. If you can handle that and get used to it, you will enjoy the new tech that Callaway has offered very much. I have tried and played many new iron sets, none of them is ever close to such nice feeling of X-14. For the first time, that I am not afraid of hitting 3 and 4 irons any more, and to see hoe the ball fly really makes my day every time I play. X-14 is the most forgiving (you must know how to take it)club ever made in history. It feels so great when you hit the sweat spot, and not bad at all even you shank it. Off center hit will fly forward with loss of distance some how, but a good shot will bring you the confidence to the highest level. $700 many be to much, but we all play for fun and percentage. If you are not hitting your irons well and need more chance to get better score, stop cheating and buy X-14, you will fell like a hero right away. I was interested in retiring my old clubs and buy some new ones. So I tested the x-14's at the range and was amazed at how comfortable the club feels. As I swing through the ball I get almost the same feedback compared to my older clubs, but the ball goes straiter and longer. My head was still down before noticing how far the ball went. So I went back to the shop and after consulting with the salesman about the club, I decided to buy the set. After all the club is quite attractive on the rack. These clubs have excepional forgivness and gives me more control over which direction I want to hit the ball. I bought the clubs with the steel shaft because I prefer Steel over graphite. Graphites are too flexable, making the ball go in any direction that I didn't want it to go. Steel gives me much more control of the clubs than the graphites, and is cheaper than the graphites anyway.I was going to buy the x-14 pro series but I was told buy the salesman that the regualar x-14's have a greater sweet spot and is easier to hit. The x-14 pro series are just a more versitle version the the x-14's which offers professionals more swinging options. But with the x-14's all you have to do is hit it striat and I garantee that it will add yardage and accuacy in your game, because it has in mine. Customer Service Great Customer service. I had my Callaway X-14's for approximately 3 months. I had trouble with the clubs from the moment I purchased them. I thought it was the offset, and after continuted use I would get used to them. It never happened. Every shot was inconsistant. I lost a club and onehalf from my old set of ISI Pings. I continuted to hit on the toe of these clubs, and had never had that problem with other irons. Shots would tend to fly or not fly. Distance was extremely hard to count on with these irons. I decided to go back to Titleist 981's, and I am hitting the club in the middle of the face and straight. I have tried all the clubs I am going to try because I keep coming back to Titleist. For the money these are the best clubs on the market, and I have tried them all. The Callaway's swing weight was too light for my swing. The 981's set up great and finish the swing they start with little effort. Do yourself a favor and save your money in the long run and try the any Titleist club. The old DCI's, 962's, 981's, or the 990's are great irons. It just depends upon your swing. I really liked these at first but as I got use to them they became more uncontrollable. Not in accuracy but in distance. I found that my carry distances with the clubs could vary by almost 25 yards. I found it hard to judge my distances at imes and would usually overclub with disastrous results. I came from Apex's so I loved the powerful hit from anywhere on the face, but it was the delicate shots that fell off. I am still playing them but I think I will try the pro series or maybe back to the apex's. Oh well. Similar Products Used: None |

Thank You, Callaway! Finally, it's fun hitting irons. I couldn't believe I was the one hitting the ball. Every shot straight and true. Nice loft with impressive distance. I'm leaving my 5 wood at home from now on. Michael & Steve at Awase...thanks for convincing me to get these custom made! Similar Products Used: None |

I bought this set to replace my custom made clubs. I've had great luck with my custom clubs but thought I'd upgrade to the latest technology. My custom clubs are standard(lie/shaft/etc). I bought the Callaways & off to the range I went. I had nothing but bad luck with them. I kept hitting the ball fat. I went through several hundred balls & still couldn't get the things to work. I decided to try another day. A day later, I played a round with the clubs. Again..another disaster. I ended up shooting over 100. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I had bad luck with the Callaways. I took them back today. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Firesoles, Taylor Made Oversize Burner Irons |
