I recently purchased the TA1's. My reason for purchasing a new set of irons was that i made a bet with my girlfriend, the prize being a set of Nike Irons. I feel confident im going to win this bet and decided to purchase game improving irons, Blades. After 5 months of shopping for new irons, I finally found a winner. It's important to note that I generally hit a draw and have a high ball flight and above average yardage. In the past year I've played with the Fatshaft RM's and Cleveland TA3's (cast). I enjoyed both sets, but decided I needed to get clubs to prepare me for the Nike Irons and wanted to take my game to the next level. My first Impression was "Wow, This feels great". I knew exactly where I was making contact. My next impression was "this can't be right, my eight iron doesn't go that far". I found i gained about a club and a half on pure shots. Now, don't misunderstand me, if you miss hit the ball you will still slice, hook, dip, etc... Im extremely pleased with my purchase. Now, Im not sure if I'm going to trade in my TA1's, maybe i'll trade the Nike Irons for a nice set of Woods. I would recommend this set to anyone who wants to take their game to a higher level, regardless of Handicap.

I've had a couple of dealings with Cleveland. I found them to be professional and helpful. For example, I bought a used Cleveland Quad...3 wood without the head cover - No problem. The customer care r

I''m 15 years old and i''ve been playing golf for 7 years. I just recently traded in my PING i3 blades in for a set of 2-pw Cleveland Ta1 chrome blades. I''ve hit almost every blade i can get my hand on. These are the most solid and true feeling club i''m ever put a swing on. I play with one arm because i was born one armed. My clubs need to be workable yet solid and the best investment i''ve ever made in golf is these irons.

This is my second set of blades (mizuno MP-14 were first), by far the most feed back I''ve had from any club. I had mostly cavity back irons from Ping ISI-K, Titleist 962, Tommy Armour V25, and Cleveland TA3, which were the best cavity back irons that I''ve hit. The TA1''s are very soft and very workable not to mention the pretties looking club out there, the price was a miss tagged club confused to be used, but they were new!!!. If you want to become a better player buy a set of these get them custom fit and I will guarantee that anybody will shave 5 strokes right away, I did it so can you. Give this clubs a try you will not be dissappointed

These irons have good feel, not great (like a 1030 forged steel blade. The clubhead design, alligns easily to the target. Clubs as workable as other blades in their class for all shot trajectories. Distance is good compared to other blades in class, but not that important to me as I live and play golf at 4500 ft. Chrome finish is reasonable, no chips in first year of use, light impact wear, without damage to the grooves. These clubs are about the best looking set available. I am a long time blade user going back to mid 70''s Wilson Staffs. This set 3-p is the best value in a blade today. I am using a matched Form Forged TA-3 #2 iron or 5 wood depending on course. I was glad to build this set myself within tight tollerances. I paid retail to do so, as in the recent past I have gotten some poorly matched sets from Custom club departments, (These manufactures know who they are and don''t need to get slammed in this commentary). This set performs as well as anything I have ever hit. I have had some strong ball striking days and feel my practice has been more productive than with other sets. I won''t be heart broken when I take the first chunk out of one of them either as costs were still less than MP33 or 681''s. these clubs will provide feedback to any strong player who has a good angle of attack and consistant club speed. Toe hits can go surprisingly far for a blade. The rolled soles are a nice touch and play well on tight fairways and heavy rough alike. My divots seem to have gotten shalower with this sole.

As a club pro, I was fortunate enough to be able to personally select each clubhead from within the stock on the Cleveland fitiing van. Clubheads were within 2 grams of perfect progression. I used a f

Ok , first i should tell you about myself.I am only 15 years old and not very tall for my age. height-5 foot 2 7/8" and starting to grow weight-7 stone 11 pounds very slim figure i play off a 8 handicap but as i am rapidly improving i beleive my long game is about scratch level with irons.my weeknesses include driving and putting.i am not really that bad in these departements but these areas prevent me from playing to a catogory 1 level every day.I really do pure most shots with my irons and tend to hit the ball with a fizzy draw(starts on a mid trajectory and gradually fizzes and rises up in to the air with draw/backspin to a incredible height).due to the fact that i have and swing in which i create alot of width=power i am able to hit 2,3,4 irons better than most and this is my real strenth as i can hit a 2 iron off most par 4 tees and still get on.despite being small and light i can create lots of speed and hit my 4 iron 155-160 through the air.as i play at a links course though i feel that a slightly lower trajectory would benefit my game, lower would help me control my short irons more because the spin i create is a little to agressive. So therefore i decided that blades were the answer my 990''s were too easy to hit and gave me too much forgiveness.i wanted to truly test my ball striking and also find a club that looks plesant like the mizuno tp-9''s. So what was i going to buy?well i wanted a rounder toeline like the mizuno tp-9.The mizuno mp-33''s have too longer face and too squarer shape so that evicted these from the equation. The hogan were not nice either and resulted in high flight and lack of power.the top line on these irons was not thin enough either for my liking .I thought for a long time about the titleist 681''s but i always thought that they would be too expensive for me, by sheer luck i was given a set by my great uncle who owned a set that he acquired from a tour van in the winter months. After a months worth of trial i can honestly say that these irons provide the most unbelievable feel and looks but strangly provided me with a trajectory that was simply horid.i soon found out that these iron were not for me,maybe in 5 years tiome when i am strong enough to get the ball in the air with these irons! The macgreggor pmb were my targets but were too expensive.review continued on customer service!!

Great clubs. Great feel and more distance than my previous set of Graphite shafted clubs (tommy armour 855's). These clubs are much more forgiving than people told me they would be. Although I wouldn't recommend for the novice golfer, anyone that can break 90 would benefit from these clubs. You definitely know where the ball hit on the club face. The TA-1's also seem to really bite on the ball well. Definitely worth the money (even if you pay retail).

These are the best feeling irons that I have ever tried. I got them custom fit with the Rifle Flighted 6.5 shafts. I spent 6 hours tring irons out and settled on these. I got the 1-pw and can hit every shot that I need even a low cut(very hard for me). These shafts help me control the short irons easily and hit the long irons high so they will stop quick on all greens(The greens at my club run between an 11 and 12). These are much more forgiving than all of the mizuno's and the evo's. The 990's just suck, and I hate TM clubs. The hogans couldn't be worked. These clubs are definately not for the mid or high handicap though. If you shoot below 80 or you are an excellent iron player give these a try. My first round w/ these I shot my career best round of 63.

Just got this set of beautiful irons over the internet. This is my first set of blades and I tried Mizuno and Hogans. For the price I couldn't come up with a reason to go with anything but the Cleveland TA1's. I hit them at the range and it's true what they say about blades, "it's all you." The ball goes wherever you hit it. I plan to practice tons with them to get better at ball striking. I'm already a good iron player and I think these will take me to the next level.

The best bladed out there, it just so happens that they are one the cheapest too. Solid, crisp feel, great trajectory, easily workable and a very versatile sole.

Model Reviewed: TA1's - CHROME

I definately have to agree with the previous review. These irons are the best bargain out there. I have hit the mizuno mp33s and these feel exactly the same but are much cheaper, and frankly better looking too. I have been using these for about a year now and have played some of the best golf in my life with them. These irons make golf fun, and yes, they will not go too far if you mishit them. However, you will learn faster from your mistakes because mishits will sting you in the hands, for a better or aspiring player this can be a good thing because it will make you try and hit the ball cleanly everytime. These irons will definately reward you for your good shots, and make you pay for your mistakes. I did demo the GUNMETAL TA1's and those look great at address but they are a bit harder than chrome, and take away the traditional look. Well, for a golfer of any level these irons are a great set of tools that will last you years. Like everyone else has said, these are the best bargains in golf!
