TA-3 (cast)
I have played the TA3's (cast) for the last 3 years. I keep trying new irons out lately, looking to possibly make a switch. I keep coming back to these irons. I can move the ball around, hit knockdowns when needed and most importantly, the distance control is great, no "hot" hits with the short irons you get with some cast clubs. It looks like these sticks are here to stay with me. If you are looking for a good set of cast blades, I would highly recommend the TA3's. You can find these on Ebay with good shafts for around $200 at times. Similar Products Used: 990's, TA3 form forged, evo-31 |

Good iron for the mid and lower handicap player who prefers that advantages of a forged club, but still likes a bit of help on their off center hits. I did hit these much longer than the Other set I was using but the loft's are jacked up on these quite a bit. I had mine bent back(weaker) and had my lie angles checked and fixed as well. The stock specs were off a bit to start with. Mid and long irons are much easier to hit than an actual blade. A good choice and value regardless. They can be found on Ebay for reasonalbe prices as well. Similar Products Used: 990, DCI-B's, APex 2000, Mizuno MP-9,14,29,33 |

Cleveland TA3 S-300
Good club but wouldn't call it a players club. Recently went back to blades. I am longer by a half a club with these Clevelands though. Not really planning to get rid of them because ya never know. Good for single digit hcp's. Feel isn't the best. Blades will give you that but these are very good clubs still. I still kinda like them. I really don't care for the short irons much but i like the mid to long irons quite a bit. Overall, try many before buying, be patient because impulsive buying will cost ya and you never get their worth on trade. Customer Service no probs with any Cleveland stuff Similar Products Used: Titleist 962. Ram tour grind, the winner is new Golfsmith pro forged |

I'm a lefthanded golfer and it is always hard trying out clubs. Instant Replay golf in Austin has a good selection of left hand clubs, including demos for each set they sell. I tried out the Mizuno MP-19, Hogan Apex Plus and Cleveland TA-3. All were beautiful clubs with excellent feel and feedback, but the TA-3 edged out the competition. I love these clubs. I owned a set of cast "game improvement" clubs before these and and was stuck in my game. These clubs provide excellent feedback throughout the swing and a sweet forged club feeling through impact. Ball flight is true to my swing. My shotmaking has responded in kind. I'm shooting in the 80's now and going lower fast. Cleveland has crafted a true winner here. Similar Products Used: None |

These clubs work great for me. The distance and trajectory are just right. Mis-hits are not punished much. I found Titleist 990s to be more accurate, but had a heavier feel. The TA-3s have lots of zing. I played Wilson Staff blades for 15 years, so it took a while to get used to the lack of a true sweet spot (replaced by a semi-sweet zone), but, hey, you just hit more good shots with a cavity backed club, even if you are a low handicapper. I think the only people who would not like the TA-3 would be the scratch player or tour pro. If you are physically strong, I would go with the Titleist 990. I've played Apex Plus and X-14s and these are better clubs. Almost as soft as Apex Plus but more forgiving. Can work the ball easily with them. Any low to mid handicapper would love these. Similar Products Used: Apex plus, X-14, 990s, I3s, MT Tours |

Love the way the clubs play; great feel, feedback, and general playability. However, I'm very upset with the workmanship. Half of my set has a seam, or groove in the hosel. After 5 months of use, one of the clubs has broken along the seem/ groove. ...Anyone else experience this problem? TA3 Formed Forged
I have long been a Titleist man, but after outgrowing my old OverSized +B irons and started looking and testing new clubs, i could not find a better feeling, looking or priced "players" club than these Cleveland's. I tried the Titleist 990, Hogan Apex, Mizuno Tzoid and the Cleveland TA3 FF (not much of a Calloway guy) and the Cleveland out performed all of them. These clubs set-up nice, let you work the ball and provide great feedback on your ball striking. If there is one thing that i would suggest to anyone buying the clubs, is to get the lofts adjusted at the factory. I noticed that all the lofts were jacked up anywhere from 3 to 5 degrees, ie a pitching wedge with 45 degrees of loft when most pitching wedges are 48 to 50 degrees. The other thing i would suggest to anyone buying these wedges would be to order different grips than those that come standard with the clubs. The factory Cleveland grips are nice looking, but very slick. I had Lamkin Crossline grips put on mine. Other than these two items, you will be hard pressed to find a better club, money or playability, on the market. This from a golfer who has no Cleveland bias and has been a Titleist golfer for over 7 years. I play where cold times are and the feel is soft and good for me when playing. I hit the ball where I want because the Ta3 is a very great club. The price here is not too bad for these and they are looking nice too. Any one who wants to be better player should hit this irons. The also forgive when you are not so good on a day. Do not stay home; go buy the ta3 and play golf because they are as good as you will be today. I also have 2 cleveland wedge in my golf bag also. Just good. |

these clubs are sweet. mine feel like they were custom fit on the loft and lie even though i got them brand new off ebay. they remind me of the blades i was using as far as feel, but the forgiveness was much better. the value on mine was exceptional due to the auction, but i'd pay the internet price of 550 any day. great set of irons.
