These irons have the look and feel that every good player can appreciate. I havent found a shot i cant hit with them. I havent really had any trouble with miss hits but I wouldnt recommend these irons to any double diget handicappers or JJ. I dont know why you think these irons are so bad but it sounds like your more of a 30 handicapper than a player who shoots in the 70's if you hit these so bad. Only con I have noticed is that they go maybe 5 yards shorter than my previous irons but I hit it long anyway.

My set has dgs300 shafts. Here are the PROS: They look great setting up to the ball. First impressions on playability are good, not much harder to hit than the pro's I had for 3 seasons, miss hits are not a great disaster as some people would lead you to believe. However, if you get out on the toe it will go nowhere as it should be! The ability to work the ball with these clubs is very strong compared to the pro model, less offset really helps. Cons: With the s300 my ball flight is a tad too high, I am currently looking into my shaft options to remedy this. The chrome on the back portion of the hozel on my 8 iron is flaking. Called Mizuno, they said to send it back to them via a dealer and they will fix it and return within 5 business days.
Overall I am pleased with the clubs and will be much more happy when I get the ball a little lower. I would defintely suggest any good ball striker to give these clubs a try. My value rating will be 5 stars because it is a great club but the overall rating will be 4 because of Mizunos lack of attention in QC.

Excellent club for the lower handicap and mid-handicap player workin on going lower. "JJ" (read reviews below)must be a Callaway Coverup player if he really is a 70's shooter. While any blade iron will not be as forgiving or hacker-proof as a game improvement club, if you are really trying to get to be the best you can a forged blade will give you the feel and feedback that will help you along that path faster and with greater sastisfaction. Weekend players who don't practice and just want to play for fun may not want to look at these but the serious player who isn't interested in compensations, is in for a real treat.

The last Mizuno blades I had were the TP9, these MP-33 are superior to any clubs I have played. The feel is wonderful, and they sit to the ball so well.
WELL DONE MIZUNO !!!

these irons dont live up to the hype, miss hits go no where, and they are not very long on center hits, ill be selling these pieces of trash, id rather have a set of k-mart clubs than these, hot knife going through butter? come on thats the oldest phrase ive ever heard these clubs are terrible

These are the most beautiful irons I've laid my hands on and swung so far. They have clean lines that really help alignment and the head shape induces good vibes on the shot to come. Impact feels like a hot knife going through butter. These clubs are taking me to a new level of golf playing. If you like the traditional blade iron than I think you can't do any better. Cudos Mizuno!

All I can say is whoa...
I have only been playing a year, I bought a set of I/3's and last week made the mistake of hitting the MP-33's. All I can say is they feel 100x's better then the I/3. Distance the same, but the MP-33 is much more accurate. As for forgivness, the day after I bought them I played a full round and hit better then my custom fit Ping's.
Now if I could only putt as well as I ballstrike!

I cannot speak highly enough about these irons. I have only had them for a short while, but I have never been in such amazement over a set of irons. I have hit virtually all irons on the market over the last 5 years and these blow them all away. I don't work for Mizuno and I don't usually hype things up.

Pros= weighting is excellent, set up is very easy and natural, consistency distance wise is probably one of their top traits (no jumpers or nuked irons), workabilty is very nice, forgiveness is not terrible (better than I thought), the feel is excellent (softer than the Apex's, ball flight is boring on a mid-trajectory but drops softly. I was most amazed by the long irons, very easy to hit and work. I was expecting the 4 and 3 to be a 50/50 shot a best. Not so. I hit them very well.

Cons=You don't make flush contact, prepare to lose 50% of your distance. You can get away with thin shots. Price, but I think worth it.

The short irons are comparable in distance to my Ping Eye 2's, maybe a hair shorter because I don't swing as recklessly. The long irons are a tad longer due to trajectory.

I'm looking for a Pitching Wedge to complete my set of these great irons. They are identical to the MP-29 model, except that these have a layer of copper under the chrome to give an even softer feel at impact. They are solid, soft and sure. Very neutral, they will do anything you can direct them to do, high, low, draw, fade. Bring your "A" game and these will reward you like no other set. Long, very precise, with tremendous feedback. Even more solid and versatile than my MP-14s. I'd really like to find the pitching wedge.
