Mizuno MX-23 Irons

Mizuno MX-23 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The MX-23 is the most forgiving iron available. Mizuno engineers produced the MX-23TM to have an even lower, deeper center of gravity and larger sweet area.

Before I bought the MX-23 irons guys would hate to see me added to their three some. The started would make them flip a coin to see who had to take me. Now the guys call me sandbagger, when I hit shots we know I should not be able to make. If I had known that my miss hits would be this good, then I would have bought the MX-23(s) years ago.

I played with the old king cobra oversize for three years or so, and i thought they were good irons until i finally bought my mizuno mx-23's. I LOVE THESE IRONS! They are much easier to work right or left, straight, whatever you want to do. not that i am very good at doing that, but at least now, i can call my shot on occasion, which makes me feel like i am really accomplishing something! That being said, they are somehow very forgiving at the same time. until i wear them out, i won't even think about getting anything else.

Afer using a tour blade for many years, I decided it was about time I realised I was not as young as I used to be and should get a bit more forgiveness from my irons. I did a little research but not a lot and finished up buying the MX 23 steel.Somebody must have been looking out for me, they are great. Everybody has there favourite club, mid iron, wedge in my case a thing of beauty is a well hit 3 or 4 iron. The feel, distance and accuracy of the MX 23 is the best I have ever played. Would recommend them to anyone. I am now in my 70s and thanks to the MX23s hitting the ball as well as I ever have.

Customer Service

Surprise I bought them through Callaway used. Great service. Would use them again.

I am a junior in highschool and I bought these Irons a few months ago. They are my second set following a dreadful set of Tommy Armorr 845's. I usually hit these well and all of my friends love hitting them. I have dropped from a fourteen handicap to a ten since buying them. My only knock is they play about a half club shorter than some other irons.

Great set of irons. Used to use steel X-14s like others in these posts. There is no comparison to the graphite MX-23s I just got. Easy to hit, soft, long and pretty straight. The graphite shafts are light and stiff enough for an ex-steel player like me. I should have got these sooner cause I'm hitting them 10-15 yards longer than the X-14s.

Tried Ping Gs, Callaway X, Hogan Edge, Taylormade RAC, only thing closer were Ping Rapture at more than double the price.

Thats the other thing, if you can find the, they are priced really well, so the value is great.

Customer Service

Got them at Golf Town in north Calgary. They let you hit all the clubs, so I think thats a great selling feature.

What a set of irons! I traded in my set of callaway x14's for the mx23's and I'm very happy with the performance of this club. There's no feeling like forged irons!!If you've never hit forged irons before... your missing out. Alot of people may think forged clubs are harder to hit but thats not true with the mx23's. These irons are good for any skill level. I loved the callaway x14's but the mx 23's have much better feel and control. If your thinking of getting a new set please give these a chance!!

Customer Service

I had great customer service at golf galaxy. They bent my clubs to my specs. and gave me a really good deal on my trade in. Paid 300.00 for mx 23's brand new!

Its raining outside now. As I left the 4th hole because of the siren sounded I was thinking about how much better of a golfer I had become over the last 6 years. I used the Callaway X-14s for 3 years and then switched to the MX-23s for the last 3 years.
The x-14s are fine clubs but there is a point when modest talent, curiosity, and hard work can lead to a better swing dynamic. The feedback from the feel of striking the ball and vision of the ball flight are absolutely critical.
The MX-23s are are superb at meeting these requirements without being overly penal such as true blades are. Although heavier than graphite shafts the steel shafts seem better at communicating the swing and strike quality of the stroke. I have no reservations about reccomending these clubs to any reader who trying to improve his or her game.

Customer Service

I custom ordered them through TGW. They came within 3 weeks as promised from Mizuno. All seemed fine.

mizuno mx 23s are great i am 11 year old and have a low handicap. I had ping g2 but were not that good. i looked on the internet and saw the 23s. i got them from my local pro at £350.00. They were a bit heavy for me at the start but after a while they fit perfect. My accuracy is great and the distance is amence i really like them. they are the best clubs for me thanks to mizuno.

This is my final update/follow up to other 2 reviews. Nothing has changed from my april 07, 2007 review.

My handicap has dropped 4 points in less than 2 months. I am hitting beautiful iron shots...firing at greens up to 200yds away with confidence and hitting a higher % than ever. I love chipping and pitching with these irons. They will be keepers until I get down into the single digits with handicap.

After close to 6 months with heavy use, showing very little wear. I did purchase some covers for them. Very easy to keep clean and no rusting.

LOVE THESE IRONS! They can be had on ebay brand new for STEALS!!!
