Mizuno MX-23 Irons

Mizuno MX-23 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The MX-23 is the most forgiving iron available. Mizuno engineers produced the MX-23TM to have an even lower, deeper center of gravity and larger sweet area.

I bought my MX-23's about a year ago on the recommendation of my teaching pro and I couldn't be happier. My set is actually a mixed set - I have the MX-900's for my 3 & 4 iron and the 23's for 5-PW. There is nothing better than hitting a shot perfectly with these clubs, and although I found it frustrating at first, the amount of feedback they provide helps me know when I'm doing something wrong. I shoot around 90 most of the time and I can't imagine a better set for somebody at my skill level.

One warning - now that they've come out with the MX-25's, Mizuno has discontinued the 23's and they're getting a bit scarce. I found this out b/c I lost my six iron on the course a couple weeks ago and had a little trouble finding a replacement through local golf shops. I guess the solution to this problem is - don't lose your clubs!

My name is Warren and I am a golf equipment Junkie, there I have admitted it! If its new I have to have. This especially goes for drivers and balls. I diligently read all of the reviews on here when I am going for my next club.

However, one thing that I have noticed about most of these reviews is that they are by people who have just bought their clubs, they are still in the honeymoon period with them. Nobody wants to admit that they went out and bought the wrong clubs.

I have owned a set of Mizuno MX23 irons for 18 months now (probably the longest that I have owned any clubs). I recently became disillusioned with them and decided that I needed a more forgiving set of clubs. I decided that the Taylormade R7 XD clubs were for me and I went of for a custom fit session.

During the session, the fitter commented on how flat my swing was, the fitting session became an impromptu lesson. To cut a long story short, I didn’t buy the Taylormade irons (even though they felt so sweet), instead I booked five lessons with the fitter (who is also a teaching pro).

I am now in love with my Mizuno MX23s once again, I am hitting them straighter, higher and further then before (I have lost my fade). The best part is that I am $400 better off then if I had bought the Taylormades.

Moral of the story is unless you are playing with spades, go get some lessons, the money will be much better spent. These will not be leaving my bag anytime in the near future, well maybe not, I see that Mizuno have just launched the MX25 irons………………..

Best irons to date for the weekend golfer. Mizuno makes innovative and quality products. Feels pure on great shots, also lets you know on bad shots. Workability is great on 8 iron to pitching. On lower irons, I just want to be able to hit straight. This is probably the best club next to the MP-30 to be ever made by Mizuno.

Customer Service

Great. I called them about a rubber stop I lost on a bag, and they mailed me 2 in a couple days. All for free.

I am a 5-7 hcp golfer. I had a set of Ping original I-3 irons since 2000. I was not looking to change. Then, a fellow lefty had a set of Mizuno MX 23s and I hit them. I was very suprised how much better feel and consistant they were to my Pings. Therefore, I bought a custom set with the Rifle shaft. Just fabulous!!!!
They are very good on all types of turf.

Fiddler's Green. I shop with them as they have a very large lefty equipment on the floor. They are very good with fitting too.

I bought a returned custom set of MX-23 irons that were sized to my specifications from the Golf Warehouse. I had a set of Callaway X-14's which were pretty good, but I wanted a change. I gained 10 - 15 yards on every iron. These Mizuno forged irons feel great and they go exactly where I aim them. They are by far the best set of irons I have ever tried.

Great club with lots of feedback. Forged design really forces you to concentrate on shots. These clubs are fairly forgiving, if swung at a good tempo. They will really punish a jerky or inconsistent swing. If you want to improve your ball striking give these a try. You will never want a cast club after you experience the feeling of a pured shot coming off of a forged club face. And yes, there is that much of a difference in feel.

Customer Service

Ordered mine custom, came when promised.

These are the best irons i have ever hit. They are great. If you have a habit of hitting off center shots almost no loss of distance and always strait as an arrow. They are a welcome addition with my new fusion driver.I have dropped a few strokes a round since using these irons.I play high school golf and i am constantly getting asked why i hit the ball with my long irons higher and farther than the rest of the people there.I always answer its the irons because it really is.Much easier to hit than my old x-16's.But i have been amazed with the performance of these babies so far.So if you want a game changing iron than these are the ones.

Customer Service

Its true mizuno really is the best irons in golf.

These irons are great. I went from Calloway X-18s to this set and I've found that I hit these about a club longer and much straighter than I did with the Callawy's. The feel is amazing and the clubs look great in the bag as well.

Just bought the clubs the other day and I am extemely satisfied with them. Have only hit a few times and can already see the improvment with them. I bought Callaway x-16s a few months ago, was not pleased with them, and so I read up on these and decided to go with them. You can work the ball much better with these, ball flight is beautiful (doesn't balloon), and the feel is outstanding. These are definetely a game improvement iron and you will see results. I heard good things about Mizuno and I have to say that I agree with all of them. Go out and buy these...you won't regret it.

Demo these irons for 5 days, and i must admit these are very nice irons. When you strike the ball with a smooth swing the ball jumps off the clubface, not bad on mis-hits. I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment with these irons.
