I have owned these for a year. I payed £250 for them new and like them a lot. I agree about the shaft, Rifle 6.0 is better for me. for reference I hit the 5 iron 200 yards (carry) all out. But would only be accurate if hitting it 180 carry. I have been advised by the pro that gives me lessons that I am a very good ball striker with the irons. If I hit a couple poorly I can see that they could be very frustrating to play with.

Nike Pro Combos are amazing!!!!!!
The cavity back long irons are amazing easily to hit. The muscle cavity irons are extremely workable as are the blades. I was able to work the clubs in either direction and hit them straight. Also these clubs impart alot or backspin on the ball. Very accurate>

After weeks of reading reviews and checking out way to many models to list, I decided on the pro combo's. Other than my I-Trax putter this is the best golf purchase yet. These clubs are smooth, long and reliable. I now have confidence in my approach shot(if only I could get off the tee). I rated myself as being in the 100's but I haven't played a individual round with these clubs yet, however in the scrambles I've played in we have used more of my shots than ever. 90's here I come! If your current clubs are holding you back then try these out. I picked them up online for $225 delivered to my door. Blessings and birdies to all!

I absolutley love these irons!! When i first got them i wasn't sure about the NIKE brand name but that has changed for the better. I have gained about 10 yards per club. I am now hitting my 3 iron 220 off the deck which was unheard of with my last irons. The blade short irons are great, they allow you to work the ball more so than many other irons. I have gained some spin which is probably not from the irons but hey, it works. They are forgiving, however they are not for hackers. Got them for just over $330 new on ebay. Since i purhcesed them I've shot my best score (73) and have been consistently shooting in the mid to low 70's
CHECK THEM OUT YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!

The 8,9 & wedge blades have to be hit to be believed. The extra distance you're getting with minimum effort gives you so much confidence. The mid iron muscle backs have a great penetrating flight and the hang time is a joy to behold. Cavity backed 3&4 are real easy to get airborn.

Customer Service

Nike were great to me. If you're considering these irons, make sure you get them custom fitted, it'll be worth it!!

The Callaway x 18's are easier to hit, but you get nowhere near the same response or clubhead feel.

These clubs are great with the right shafts. Initially, for $400 from golfdiscount, they came with Nike graphite shafts that provided plenty of distance but poor consistency/accuracy. However after 3 shafts breaking from normal use (poor quality Nike graphite), I put Rifle Steel 6.0 TourFlights on them and havent looked back. As a matter of fact, the consistency has been soo good that Ive been close to breaking 80 several times recently (apr06).
The long irons are high and driving, while the short irons can put crater holes on the green with good stops.
I would recommend these to any mid-low handicapper.

Customer Service

Golfdiscount.com has good overall service. I did have problems when I requested some special things (no graphite reshafts, due to poor Nike graphite material) done, but when I ran into problems, the re-order supervisor was very good in working with me.

I got the nike pro combos for xmas and went to the range over the winter. The irons are stiff flex with true temper dynamic golf shafts. These shafts are really consistent. The clubs have great workabilty, forgiving on mis hits, the distance from the irons is great to.I love how the set comes in three parts: blades, half blade/cavity, and cavity back for the long irons.I went to the golf course yesterday and today the course was pretty wet but in fairly good condition for just opening.I shot a 43 yesterday and a 42 for nine holes today with no gimmies or mulligans.I almost holed out with my 9 iron from 150yrds away.I got these clubs from dicks sporting goods and they were one of 3 sets left.I payed $400.00 us dollars for them.A real good deal cause of the shafts. These clubs should be thought of when in the market for new irons. They have great feel and good control when going to a tight pin placement.I started to like nike golf this year because i've had bad luck with taylormade, adams, and callaway.Ever one of those companys a club broke. So look at buying these irons when you need a new set.

I read a lot of reviews on these irons before purchasing them off of ebay for $300CDN delivered to my door, last October. The first thing I noticed about these clubs was how they set up so much squarer to my eye vs. my Callaways, a given considering these are not off-set, but I was surprised how much more comfortable I was at lining up shots. Visually, they just really worked for me. The forged blades (P, 9, 8) give a ton of feedback - if you don't know what feedback is before hitting these, you will after! The medium and high irons are excellent as well. Moving between a forged head, muscle back and cavity backed club is quite painless with a consistent feel throughout, which was one of my main concerns with choosing this set. The loft of these clubs is higher than the X-14's, as a result I found my ball launching at a higher angle than I was used to and I was trading off maybe 5 to 7 yards a club in lost distance which I've since made up and then some in swing improvements. I have a good repeatable/reliable swing, but for shots that I hit a little off-centre there is a noticeable decrease in accuracy and distance - not as forgiving as the X-14's at all - so I wouldn't recommend these if you can't hit the ball flush more often than not. Also, in the past few seasons, I have improved quite a bit in working the ball, but with these clubs I found myself really able to lean into a big sweeping draw or a high cut/fade. I have a lot of confidence now if I really need to shape a shot, especially with the blades where I find myself aiming at fats of greens for safety, yet able to bend the shot toward the flag stick and just plain stick it close. The clubs came with factory Nike "Speedstep" shafts which were adequate, or at least I thought they felt pretty good. I used them for a month before breaking my PW shaft like a pencil, instead of going the "send back to Nike, get your club back in a month" routine, I opted to swap the shafts to True Temper Dynamic Gold, which I am EXTREMELY pleased with. The clubs have that much more feel and control, and if I ever break another shaft, I am a trip to any old local golf retailer away for the fix. All and all, best set of irons I've ever had - highly recommended!
