TaylorMade 300 Irons

TaylorMade 300 Irons

DESCRIPTION

From TaylorMade: "The traditional look comes from the thin topline, mirror chrome finish, straight leading edge and minimal offset. The modern conveniences of optimal weighting and center of gravity are achieved through TaylorMade's exclusive trapezoidal cavity pad, which is placed behind the impact zone to maintain ball velocity and preserve feel. Like the 320 and 360 irons, the long irons in the Forged 300 set have negative bounce to help create lift, while the short irons have positive bounce to prevent ballooned shots."

Buy far the best sticks i've owned was playing Mizuno MP 33's then went into a S$%^#@* spell.almost quit the game got ride of the MP 33's purchased the Taylormade 320's so i could get the feel back started to shoot in the low 80's again. Then last week purchased the 300's first night out play 18 with a few members at my course shot 38 on the front 39 on the back missed 3 greens all day.The clubs are Money soft feel and with the DG S300's best combo out.For some reason could not get the Rifles that came in the 320's dialed in.great buy on the 300's.If yoy can find a set under $400 get them. I purchased the irons about 2 weeks ago, and they are great. These are some of the best looking irons i have seen on the market in a long time, and they feel great to. i am a 5 handicap and have no problem hitting these blades. Although it seems to me that when you hitt he ball skinny the ball really comes short of your target, but they do give you great feedback. i would not recomend these to a high handicaper.

I reviewd these clubs in June/02 , and am pleased to review them again ! Normally , I try a new set of irons every year (as I have for the past 7 or 8 years) , but this is the first year that I've kept a set of irons for two years running. Is this not testament to the quality of these club ? These clubs are very good quality , and they have added an improved dimension to my game. I can still work the ball very easily , but now I am confident in trying new shots. They feel so sweet , and I have been able to knock a few stokes off my handicap. These are very good clubs. This is why I reviewed them for a second time.

For the last two years, I have dedicated every moment of my spare time to golf. By having a solid foundation and consistent golf swing, you begin to understand the fundamentals of golf and are able to hit nearly any club. Why would you want to hit any club when you can get consistent results with the Taylor Made 300 Forged irons? The elegant double-strike carbon forged heads of these irons deliver a crisp, forgiving strike to nearly any shot. From a high lofted lob to a long iron cutting through wind like a knife, these clubs deliver the most solid performance of any club built. Although these clubs are expensive, perfectly struck shots and satisfaction make them pay for themselves. If you looked at Taylor Made, look again.

I have been playing cavity back in the 100s for years and decided to try this semi blade set to improve my swing. It works and helped me break 100 after about 6 months. Shafted with rifle 5.5 these clubs are just gorgeous. I am confident they will help me break 90 this year. I did lost a few meters as these club gives higher trajectory, but dispersion is narrower. Hitting them in the sweet spot feels like cutting butter. Good investment. For aspired golfer who wants to bring their game to better level.

I´ve been playing the 990 for 3 years now and I have always missed the feeling of the forged Cobra Norman Signature irons. So this year I tested and bought the TM 300 with Rifle flighted 6.0. At first I thought the shaft there a bit whimpy but I slowed down my tempo a bit and I have never hit the ball as streight as now. These irons give great feedback and the ball flight is very consistant. I shoot these 1/2 iron shorter then my 990. Recommand them to everyone < 15 hc Great clubs!!!

Just an observation here: These irons have been used to win the last four majors that weren't won by Tiger. Weir used 'em to win the Masters, Beemer used 'em to win the PGA, Ernie used 'em to win the British, and Goose used 'em to win the U.S. Open. How about that?

These are the sweetest irons I've ever hit! They not only look great, they produce like no other. I've played a set of early 1980 "cavity backs" until I hit one of these beauties on the range. I hit 20 balls but was sold after the first hit. The clubs have feel like no other and believe me, I've hit most of them. My buddy who shoots in the upper 90's hit it almost as good as I did! Make sure you use head covers and a good bag to prevent them from getting scratched or nicked. I shot a 74 using them my first round...only because I have yet to try a new Taylor Made putter!

Just as I was about to buy these clubs I find out that they have been discontinued to be replaced by the RAC series in 2003. Has anyone heard of the RAC models and knows what the basic differences are?

Was playing the Hogan Apex Plus, which is a very nice club, but after reshafting to a sensicore to try and dampen the vibration a little bit because of an elbow injury, I just couldn't get used to the loss in feel. Rather than reshaft I decided to upgrade. Tried the Ping blades but they didn't give me enough feedback. Decided to try the TM's after being told not to worry about it being a blade, not forgiving, etc. Now that I've had them a few months, I'm very pleased with the purchase. They feel excellent when struck well and I think they are quite forgiving on mis hits. When I miss it tends to be inside and have not been punished too severely. I have found that whether I am hitting full shots, or using them for finesse shots, they are equally responsive. At first I thought the distances were shorter than the Hogans but after playing awhile, that is not the case. They are very consistent for distance. I typically play a slight draw and these fit my game. I adjusted the lie to +2 degrees. If you even think you might like a blade feel with forgiveness, try these.
